Easy access washer/ dryer. Everything was very clean well organized and comfortable. Kitchen was set up nicely. We found everything we needed for cooking….Dining area looked out on the water and a nice porch with a table and a picnic table for outside meals or morning coffee…. Moon sets sunsets very Pleasant. Plenty of birds to see! Easy access to many areas.
This place is so peaceful. We loved our week here. The sunsets and mornings on the deck were wonderful. Loved the games we could play. Had a well stocked kitchen and super comfy beds. We loved the secluded location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Sea Rose Cottage. We found our vacation wonderfully relaxing at this quiet and serene area away from the crowds of MDI
We chose this location to celebrate some significant milestones in our lives. It was a delightful place....clean, well equipped, and with an air of relaxation.
Bonnie was responsive and well prepared for each question we passed her way.
Strongly recommend.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast, the cottage is not only a great location for visiting the well known attractions but also lesser known hidden gems! The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable–great beds, totally equipped kitchen and oh so soft and thick towels 😉. The rear of the cottage faces the bay, offering stunning sunset views and a large variety of waterfowl that provide enjoyable serenades. Had the pleasure of meeting our hosts and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Bottom line, great place to immerse oneself in all that Maine has to offer!
We enjoyed days on the shore and evenings by the campfire. This quaint updated trailer was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The managers have thought of everything you might need and more. You are secluded yet close to amenities like restaurants and a Dollar General. The view and sunsets were amazing. Maine is a simple rural and beautiful area where you can get back to the basics of small town living and truly enjoy life. We didn’t turn on the TV once but it was there if one wanted to watch. The WiFi was dependable and fast as well. It was very clean and tidy. They wash all the linens including top covers and throws as well as sanitize all your dishes for your stay.
THIS is the place you want! Clean, quiet, on the water, well-stocked, and a very helpful host!We so enjoyed our week-long stay in Sullivan celebrating our 20th anniversary. The cottage was lovely—and spotless. The beds were super comfortable. The yard was wonderful - we had coffee on the deck a number of mornings and a deer walked through the yard while we were having a campfire. And this cottage has everything. Bug spray for the campfire? Check. Ice packs for your adventure? Check. Cards and games for a rainy day? Check. The washer/dryer were an added bonus. It seems like a long drive when you first arrive, but after a couple days it's nothing. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Quiet, clean and relaxing. Interesting to watch the tides, loons and herons. Lots of indoor and outdoor space for our group to take advantage of. Each bedroom has its own tv along with a large screen in the dining, living, kitchen area. Gravel access road took a little getting used to and the neighbors dog didn't like our car driving by, but small concerns during an otherwise enjoyable stay.
we had a wonderful stay. Property owner was prompt to my answer my questions. If you are looking to spend time near Acadia nation park but want an area that is not crowded this is the perfect place. clean and comfortable.
we spent a lot of time kayaking in the bay it was beautiful :)
My family of three stayed at this house for five nights in July. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros - Quiet area, nice water view of the bay. Good communication, nice to have laundry use. We went to Ironbound Inn, which is great. We also used the grill a few times! Clean house and property. Nice toiletries for our use and a gift basket of pancake items.
Cons - This is a mobile home in a neighborhood that is pretty run down.
This house was perfect, private and a relaxing place to wind down after exploring the area. Dinners in or a short drive to the local restaurants. Sunrise with a cup of coffee or a cocktail at sunset on the back deck was amazing. The board games were a blast to end a long day. The beds and pillows were heavenly.
Exceeded expectations. Greeted warmly by owners. Everything worked perfectly. Once we figured out how the TV controls worked we loved it. All of us are over 80! Comfortable both inside and out. This is it!
The cabin was just as pictured, everything was well stocked and the decor and furniture was very comfortable. We immediately felt like we were home. We stayed 5 nights. It was such a wonderful time!
The loons were on the bay every night. It was so peaceful to sit out back and enjoy the view!
This cottage is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is quiet and has a beautiful view to enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. A well appointed kitchen to cook breakfast or even a lobster dinner. The cottage is a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It’s also a relaxing place to enjoy the evening and a great backyard complete with fire pit and bay view.
The home was well stocked and the property manager was responsive to all questions. We enjoyed the peaceful location and watching the birds along the shore.
Great time in the very cute house on the hill! Beautiful views and everything we needed! We used as our base camp for Acadia National and the additional drive time to be away from the maddening crowd was worth it. Bonnie was an UBER responsive host and we knew if we needed something she would make it happen (but we didn’t since everything was perfect).
This place was fantastic! While it was dark and raining when we arrived, which made finding the correct cottage a little challenging, the location was one with epic views. We used this as a base camp for adventures in Acadia National Park. The accommodations were excellent. Having a gas grill as one of the amenities made for a couple of tasty, fast dinners at home so we could enjoy the view of the bay. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.
