Eden House is a cozy, clean house located in a lovely, quiet wooded area. Within minutes you can be at a lake, the park or a beach. Eden House is within walking distance of a playground, bank and upscale restaurant. We are eleven miles from Bar Harbor and 1/2 mile to the Island Bus System stop. Enjoy many outdoor activities or a lovely drive on the Ocean Drive that are so popular on our wonderful island.

Our host was wonderfully communicative in advance of, and during our stay.The house is centrally located for easy travel around Mt Desert Island while still feeling private and secluded.We saw deer and wild turkeys in the woods around the house, and the home was very well appointed with everything we needed to make it feel like home away from home.

House had everything we needed. Plenty of kitchen essentials, towels and hangers in the closets. Perfect location to explore Acadia and the quiet side of the island. The lakes were great for kayaking. Every place we chose for dinner were delicious. Host was always responsive to text messages. Great place to visit. Don’t miss out booking Eden House.

Just perfect!

We loved everything about our stay in this beautiful house! Clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed and offered the perfect peaceful place to come home to after a day of exploring. Kathy was readily available by text any time, and the check-in and check-out couldn't have been simpler. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful stay in a charming home!

We loved our stay! Kathy was so responsive and the house had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, check in was a breeze, and everything was clean. It was also in a great location that made it easy to get to any place we needed, the shuttle stop is close by, and it’s away from the crazy busy Bar Harbor area. We would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay!

Kathy’s house was a gem on Mt Desert Island, tucked away from the crowds, yet close to Bar Harbor and the park. The house was well stocked with amenities, basically everything you need for your stay with a bonus of frozen Maine blueberries, pancake mix, butter and syrup to prepare a delicious pancake breakfast the first morning. Highly recommended for your visit in the area.

Great quiet place

Lovely, comfortable house. Quiet location. Host very communicative and helpful. You do need to drive to most places on the island from here (my husband was hoping the island shuttle bus would be more useful but i thought driving was easy and most places were within 29 minutes)

Felt right at home

This is such a great secluded property not far from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bar Harbor. You really get the best of both worlds. The hosts had the place well stocked with everything you need in case you had forgotten something. Comfy, cozy, and very affordable for our family.

Amazing property and owners, the pictures don’t do it justice. It is in a perfect location for visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia, close enough for easy access, but tucked away quietly on the woods.I don’t know if I’ll ever get back, but would book here again in a heartbeat.

Our stay at Kathy’s house

We loved our stay at this property! One could not ask for a better location! The drive was close to the east and west side of Mount Desert Island. The house was very clean and so cozy! Since we had teenagers, the kids were extra happy that they had their own beds. The kitchen was well equipped, had all the necessities plus some (we were impressed with the spice rack). There was plenty of space for everyone. We loved the grill and the deck. The check in/ check out process was seamless, owner very responsive and attentive! I highly recommend staying at this property!

Another outstanding stay at Eden House

We traveled to Bar Harbor with our two Labradors and stayed for a second time at this wonderful property. The second time was just as good as the first. Kathy is so responsive to questions. The house was fully supplied with everything we needed. The blueberries were a nice touch and we enjoyed them every morning with our yogurt. The pups loved the big back yard. The house is in a terrific wooded setting close to the town of Bar Harbor by car. It was so nice to return to this quiet, peaceful house everyday after hiking with our pups. When we return to Bar Harbor we will stay in this house again!

Look No Further

After weeks of researching places to stay for our week vacation on MDI, I kept coming back to the same place. We didn't want to spend a week in a hotel so we decided on Eden House. When my wife and I arrived, we immediately fell in love with the place and knew we had made the right decision. The pictures don't do the house justice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The house is immaculate and adequately stocked with everything one could possibly need for an extended stay from the washer and dryer to the well apportioned kitchen. Kathy and Bruce are gracious and accommodating hosts. We had the opportunity to meet Bruce and enjoyed our brief visit. The deck was a great place to sit with a cocktail and reflect on the day's activities. Eden House is located in a beautiful setting nestled under trees on a secluded private road away from the the hectic noise of Bar Harbor. We were minutes from Acadia National Park, where we spent the majority of our time hiking and hanging out enjoying the natural beauty of the park. There are countless restaurants nearby and Bar Harbor is about 15 minutes away with shopping galore and groceries. When we were there the leaves were beginning to change. The colors intensified throughout the week. We had a great vacation that was only made better by staying at Eden House. We highly recommend this property for your stay.

Everything for a family juggling two littles could need! Our 4 yr old loved all the games, puzzles, and books. The parents appreciated the easy single floor layout of the main living spaces, laundry, high chair, quiet and private neighborhood, and a kitchen with everything needed to cook a meal easily. Location is great for accessing the NP park from different entrances and great food options around with a playground right up the street. 10/10, no notes.

My mom and I had a great stay at Kathy's place. It was easy to get to different points in Acadia and we appreciated the quiet location nestled in the woods. Kathy was quick to respond and provided lots of information about nearby restaurants and things to do in the area. Both Kathy and her place were a real gem!

the cabin was just what we needed for exploring the park and area. it reminded me of the house I grew up in. It was a nice surprise to find the pancake mix and condiments in the fridge. Just wish there was a Kuerig machine since I'm the only one who drinks coffee and a pot is too much.

Eden House

We had a wonderful stay at Eden House. Kathy was very responsive before and during the stay. Super helpful. Not that much help is needed because the house is well equipped, including lots of extra touches provided to make everything easy. We are a family of 4 and were comfortable in the house and on the large, very private and quiet property. Easy access to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor. Just an overall great accommodation.
