Lovely accommodations in a very peaceful setting. We absolutely loved the cabin and will be recommending it to everyone we know. Best vacation rental we have encountered in a very long time. Kudos to the owners!
Wonderful location with easy access to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor but with a wooded remote feel. Everything was there that we needed and working well. No complaints at all, but the beautiful wooden floors do creak which could bother some people. Would book again if come back to the area!
Great place to stay. The cabin was super clean and well stocked. Very convenient to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor while still being private. Spent five nights here and wished it had been five more!
We stayed in this beautiful cabin from Oct 1-8, 2025. We absolutely loved everything about it!!! The place had everything we needed from extra blankets to all the kitchen utensils needed to cook. Loved all the moose, bear, and sailboat decorations on the shelves and walls! Loved the outdoors feel of it with the woods in the back yard! It was wonderful when we sat in the back porch to drink our coffee in the mornings. The property owner (Mike) was so helpful. We called him because we didn’t know how to operate the heater because one of those days it dropped to 46 degrees. He came right over and we felt quite embarrassed as it was an easy function we should’ve done to get it going. He didn’t even mind and was so friendly when he was there. We asked him about some great spots to see in and around Bar Harbor and he broke out the maps and pointed them for us. We would definitely stay here next time we visit Bar Harbor!!
We enjoyed the convenience of the location as well as the fact that it’s off from the main areas and so very quiet. Check in was easy and everything was found just as described. Great property to rent!
This was our second stay at the Rustic Cabin. The location is perfect! The cabin is spotless and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We hope to make a trip back to Acadia in the near future will love to stay here again!! Thank you so much!!
Wonderful stay at the cabin. Was very cozy & beautifully decorated. Lovely location. We would definitely stay there again if vacationing in Bar Harbor again. Could stand some improvement with better quality toilet paper & replacing Queen mattress.
The cabin was very clean and cutely decorated to match the theme of the surrounding water and woods. A great location just outside Bar Harbor for visiting downtown and the very popular Acadia National Park. Loved sitting out on the huge deck playing cards or just reading a book! The owner suggested some good restaurants to try which were very good.
This was our second stay in the cabin. It's clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner gave us recommendations for rainy days which we appreciated - we would stay again.
I stayed here with my wife and 3 year old son for a week during foliage season. It’s a great location. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor and in a pretty quiet neighborhood. The cabin itself is perfect for a family of 3-4. Clean, all the amenities and comforts of home. Couldn’t be happier with choosing this cabin. Made a lot of great family memories there. Will definitely book again if we come back to the area.

Perfect vacation package!
The Half-tide Lodge provided amazing accommodations with a fantastic location. It was "just right" for our family of four. We enjoyed the quiet location and being minutes from the Acadia entrance, all while being just 15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. We had a great week!
This was our second year renting the cabin and once again it was a wonderful retreat. The owners are very accommodating and responsive. The cabin is very clean and neighbors are very quiet. We hope to make it an annual tradition!
The cabin is super sweet, very well made and maintained. The neighborhood is very quiet and private. We enjoyed morning coffee on the back deck listening to the acorns drop

Quiet cabin close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park
This property is very well maintained. Michael was very helpful and also checked in with us during the stay. It is about 10-15 minutes from Bar Harbor and less than that to Acadia National Park, which made it very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone who is looking for a relaxing cabin that is not right in downtown Bar Harbor, but close enough to everything Mt. Desert Island has to offer.
The setting and cabin had a homey feel that was relaxing and quiet. Bar Harbor has great restaurants and shops. Cloudy for our sunrise on Cadillac Mountain but was still beautiful, and cold. 😁
We had a great week at Halftide Lodge. Away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor but only a quick drive away. We really loved the proximity to MDI Biological Lab (where I was taking a class) and the park (where my family hung out while I was in class!). The house had everything we needed and we loved being able to walk down to the rocky beach anytime. A gem for those who do not like crowds and don't mind a short drive to dinner, ice cream, or shopping.
Had a great week in Maine staying at the Half Tide Lodge.
So very close to the Park and Downtown Bar- Harbor and we even went to Bangor to see Stephen King’s house.
Could not have picked a better place for us to stay!
House was so clean, cozy, and comfortable!
Would 100 percent rent this house again when we come back to the area. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
We just returned home from a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. Its in a quiet, woodsy neighborhood with water views of the sparkling bay. This immaculate cabin is stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfy stay. The location is ideal…literally minutes to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor.
The host is wonderful….so accommodating and helpful. You can tell he takes pride in this treasure of a home.
If Acadia is on your list, look no further. This is the place to stay.
This immaculate cabin was so comfortable and had everything you needed and more. Very tastefully decorated, in a quiet neighborhood. The location was great….very close to the main entrance to Acadia National Park, many hiking trails, downtown Bar Harbor with cute shops and eateries, a grocery store & all tourist sites. We were very pleased to have been a guest at this lovely home. We would recommend this cabin to anyone traveling to the Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park area. We are retired, travel quite often & this property ranks #1 of any rental we’ve ever stayed in. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us on our 50th anniversary month road trip. We made many great memories.
