This creative vacation rental was designed by an extremely talented local artist. It is a short walk to downtown Bar Harbor, the shore, and offers easy access to Acadia National Park. The Island Explorer, located downtown, offers a free bus service to anywhere on the island. Located in a residential area, the top floor of this renovated home is a picture of serenity, peace and quiet. Surrounded by tall trees, the space is reminiscent of dwelling in a luxurious tree house! Enjoy brilliant stars on a custom stargazing bench, relaxing on a walkout deck off the master bedroom, or sitting on the private covered front porch. The spectacular bathroom is the showcase featuring a one of a kind breathtaking tile creation. As you sit in the jacuzzi tub you will be swept away into a vision of Frenchman's bay featuring the elusive Orca whale. Not your average run of the mill vacation rental. Words can not describe what it has to offer.


Golfing: The historic Kebo Vally golf course is located just over the hill, offering world-class golfing.

Children: Directly across the street you will find Glen Mary woods, a city owned park, adjacent is the Glen Mary wading pool, perfect for younger children. Picnic are, restroom and swings are located next to the pool.

Bar Harbor Getaway

Great location in quiet neighbor with easy access to the shops and restaurants in downtown Bar Harbor (10 min walk). Short drive to Acadia. It was a comfortable and relaxing place to return to after biking the carriage trails.

Great location!

Clean, comfortable and perfect location. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking at home. Easy walk to Bar Harbor village center. Short drive into Acadia National Park.

Great getaway!

The very sweet and conscientious owners made our trip destination extremely comfortable, as they stocked the kitchen will all necessary appliances and equipment. The location of the rental is perfect for walking to the town of Bar Harbor, or driving to locations outside of town. Overall, would give this a 10 out of 10!

Pre-season Acadia

Stayed in Acadia before season started. The property is conveniently located, comfortable, and a terrific place to enjoy Acadia NP and located on a quiet street with off-street parking which would be even more desirable during peak season. The kitchen is large with all of the conveniences of home, although there is plentiful dining in the area if you don't wish to cook. This was an ideal setting and location for a family trip.

Perfect location

This was a perfectly located rental within walking distance to everything we needed. There is nothing like a July 4th in Bar Harbor! My only suggestion is to update the furniture. The sofa was so uncomfortable that no one could sit on it.

Excellent Bar Harbor Week

The three bedroom apartment was upstairs, private, and cool at night with cross breezes. The air conditioner was on when we arrived (a hot week), which was a nice touch, but we did not need it in the morning or evening or overnight. Just a few blocks from town, and a few miles from Acadia, the neighborhood is leafy and quiet. The owners (right downstairs) respected our privacy all week and were friendly when we met up two times in the backyard by the separate entrance. We hope to be back. It could not have been much better.

Check-in was a breeze—just follow the very simple instructions. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances, including a stove, blender, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher. We took full advantage of the full-size refrigerator and stocked it for the week. This allowed us to have breakfast every morning at the apartment and make sandwiches to take with us, which we enjoyed in Acadia National Park.The apartment was very spacious, with three bedrooms, a family room, a balcony, and a deck. The washer and dryer were a delightful bonus!Parking was one of the biggest challenges for my full-size pickup truck with three bikes on the back. The driveway was overgrown with vegetation. Fortunately, this issue was resolved, which was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Marsha!Overall, the place was clean and comfortable. We had a great stay!

Great location

I was very impressed with the location of the house and size of the rooms. The balconies and large tub were great bonuses. One of the rooms got a little bit warm without a fan or A/C, but I imagine those aren't needed most of the year, so that's a minor gripe. All in all, we were very happy to stay here and would consider returning.

Convenient and cozy

We had a great stay in Bar Harbor! It was super easy to walk into town and onto the shore path, and we were just a short drive away from some great hikes. The house was well-appointed and the owners were very responsive. We hope to return!

Perfect Location for Our Bar Harbor Stay

This was our first time visiting Bar Harbor and this was the perfect location for us. We could walk to everything in the downtown area, and it was an easy drive to Acadia. The place was incredibly clean and spacious, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful Artistic Home, Acadia and Bar Harbot

We couldn't be happier with our stay at Marsha's place in Bar Harbor. The apartment was just as advertised, and was very clean. The kitchen was excellently appointed with all we needed to cook our meals. The location was perfect for exploring the island while being able to walk into Bar Harbor.
