Ideally located just across the beach from Kahalu'u Beach Park. This is a great place to stay if you like to snorkel, surf and swim. If not, it is close to everything else.

Easily accessible, convenient and with good under water scenery, Kahalu'u Bay is the most user friendly Snorkel Beach on the island. Unit is large and has had recent upgrades.

The pool and BBQ overlooking the bay make a great spot to relax and congregate after a day of exploring and shopping!

Wonderful Stay -- We Didn't Want to Leave!

We loved our stay at this property — the location was perfect and it had everything we needed for an incredible vacation. We especially appreciated all the beach gear provided, which made it so easy to snorkel at one of the best snorkeling beaches in Hawaii. And the view was incredible. Our only complaint is that our stay was too short! We can’t wait to come back.

Above and beyond expectations

I can't say enough good things about this property. I have three teenagers and they absolutely loved it. It was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. It was honestly one of the best Airbnb we've stayed in. The owner was great, and readily available for anything.The location is perfect, it has amazing snorkeling and a great beginner break to boogie board and surf. The property has everything there, which is amazing! I like it because it's not as crowded as some other spots. It's about a mile to the Kta and some restaurants.The pool is also very well maintained. We would snorkel during the day and then use the awesome grill and hang out at the pool.Another thing I didn't even realize is that it was air conditioned.The lanai is so nice. I loved having my morning coffee there and then watching the beautiful sunset at night.You really can't go wrong with this property!

Beautiful home and view

The house had everything we needed during our stay. It was very clean and comfortable.The road in front was pretty busy but the speed was very low so we felt safe walking to the beach. It was fun watching the surf school from the balcony. Check in was very easy. I didn't realize we would not have an elevator but that was my fault for not checking. It worked out though. All in all a very good experience.from the balcony

Beautiful ocean and sunset view

We enjoyed the ocean view every morning while having coffee. The unit was cute, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The sunsets were beautiful!

Wonderful Location

We loved our stay. The location across from Kahaluu Beach Park and close enough to Kona without being in the busy part of town. Close to grocery store and a short drive to restaurants.

Kona

Duane is an attentive host. Many items such as beach chairs, coolers and kids toys were very helpful. Property location is ideal. We enjoyed watching the surfers from the couch. Will stay here again.

Perfect family retreat

Clean and spacious apartment right next to some great snorkeling. Tidepools there were perfect for our toddler to splash around. We used the pool and BBQ multiple days and watched the sunset. The road out front is busy, but it's a very convenient location for day trips

Played in the best snorkeling location every day!!

Well appointed unit with ample space for two couples or 4 people, two of us stayed an entire month and enjoyed every day. Would stay again and recommend to anyone that is mobile as it was the 3rd floor unit… great view and added to our Hawaii bodies.

Great location, managers, and owners

The location and the property were great. The place had everything we needed in the kitchen and lots of toys (in great condition) to use. The owners and property manager were all responsive and available. The air conditioning was a huge plus. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Beautiful sunset views, view of surfers, close to best snorkeling. They have everything you need: fully equipped kitchen, some basic condiments, all the beach and picnic items you would need - beach chairs, umbrellas, boards, cooler, towels, etc. Owners are quick to respond and care about your stay. Will stay again.

Excellent location and place to stay

The condo was very clean and tidy and had pretty much all amenities you could want. Just enough out of town to feel you weren't in the city; close enough to go in and enjoy whatever Kailua-Kona has to offer. Duane and Cheri were excellent hosts and communication was excellent. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay, yet again on The Big Island.

Perfect island getaway

We had an awesome time at Duane and Cheri’s place. The condo was better as advertised and had everything we needed. It is easily accessible and conveniently located near the snorkel beach and many establishments. Great communication with the owner. Would love to come back soon!

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful vacation to the Big Island and LOVED staying at Duane and Cheri’s place. They provided great beach equipment and we took full advantage of the boogie boards, snorkel gear, and beach chairs. Our communication with the owners was helpful- they checked to make sure everything was good and they really cared about providing the best experience. We can’t thank you enough! We’ll be back!

Beautiful view of water, condo was extremely well supplied, clean, comfortable, good amount of space, on top floor of 3 story building. Wonderful beach across the road, a 4 minute walk (along ocassionally busy street) to get to main snorkeling area which itself was quite nice. Dedicated parking space but tight to navigate for larger vehicles. Hosts were responsive. Would book again. Highly recommend.

Just Simply Stunning

An absolute gorgeous apartment on the 3rd floor, home from home. The sunsets were just amazing, watching the surfers was an added bonus. So close to a great snorkeling and surf spot and close to supermarkets and Kona. We used the free trolley a few times when we could catch it into Kona which was great. Car parking was tricky as we had a big SUV, not an issue if you have a small car. Apartment was very clean, AC was great, my son slept very well on the pull out sofa. Pool area was amazing which was added bonus, my wife loved taking photos of the gekos! Host's were amazing, friendly and dealt quickly to all queries. We'd love to return, gutted the apartment is on the other side of the world to us! .

Still Dreaming Of Our Ocean-View Condo!

We’re happy we found this condo. The reviews were right! Duane was helpful before our arrival & during our stay. A nice surprise was the condo was ready earlier than check-in time. He checked on us & wanted to know if there were any issues he could resolve right away. He’s been the most proactive & responsive VRBO owner we’ve had. His condo’s GORGEOUS view helped us decide the Big Island is our favorite Hawaii island. He even bought my 7-year-old granddaughter a life jacket, because the condo didn’t have one her size…a lifesaver when we swam in the ocean at beautiful Kua Bay Beach. He & his family stayed at the condo before we came & left their unopened food, which was a blessing. The condo was stocked with everything you needed. We traveled with a family group of 25 who were in 4 different condos, and a few of them complained their condo didn’t have enough towels, ran out of toilet paper, or parts of their condo wasn’t cleaned. It’s a little walk to the shopping center, but doable at 25 min. We chose this place, because we preferred to be by the ocean. Our condo was on the 3rd floor, but we didn’t mind the stairs, since it gave us such an amazing ocean view, which is addicting waking up to. The pool has a beautiful ocean view too & was like a tropical haven. Don’t miss out snorkeling at Kahalu’u Beach, because it truly is like swimming in a fish bowl, and we loved that it was just a walk across the street. We’d love to come back & stay here again! Great location on the island overall, and in relation to being away from yet close to downtown Kona; and my goodness, across the street from a great snorkeling and surfing spot, the 24/7 ocean view and of course the sunsets.Well-appointed condo including the kitchen with so many of the tools of modern living, and comfortable mattresses and climate control.

Beautiful third floor condo overlooking Kalaluu Bay. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed for the beach along with a large variety of snorkel gear. Comfortable beds, hot showers and AC. Communication with the owner was excellent. Thank you for an amazing visit.

Why they chose this property

We love the beautiful location. Right across from the best Snorkel Beach at Kahaluu bay. We have a great view of the bay and the surfers. During the winter season we can see the whales breaching. We added a spotting scope to see them even better.

What makes this property unique

We have snorkel gear and a surf board. All you have to do is walk across the street. We have beach chairs, towels and ice chest if you don't want to get in the warm tropical water.
