The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Return the keys
We believe that a vacation should be just that. Only 2 things to do. 1. Make sure the dishes are done and start the dishwasher.
2. Take all the wet/dirty towels and put them in the bath tub. That it!
3. Have a safe trip home :)
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please be aware of your surroundings. We live in a forest. Do not walk alone at night without a light. we have bears, fox, mountain lions, deer.
DO NOT leave any garbage outside, food in your car. The bears like to get into cars with food in them. DO NOT LEAVE FOOD FOR THE WILD ANIMALS!
Please be kind and gentle with the Cabin and Guest House. It's over a 100 years old. Please treat it as if was your own :)

Cheryl and Micheal were such accommodating hosts who made sure I was comfortable. The property was even more beautiful than the photos and the stream was so peaceful. I highly recommend staying here.
Our first stay here and it was tranquil and relaxing. Easy access to surrounding trails and town.
Would gladly stay again.

David and his group are frequent guests in our little area in Cascade. Everyone is respectful, follows house rules and a very good communicator. They are welcome to stay anytime!
Stay was great and cabin was peaceful. Bathroom on the first floor needs better water pressure and washer/dryer would be helpful bc closest laundromat is about 20 minutes away. But hosts were wonderful.

Terra and family. Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, the water is shared with the guest house so the pressure is dependent upon who all is using it at the time. We are always looking to make improvements. Thanks for your stay and the kind review.
We loved our stay at this place! The owner was thoughtful and available if we ever ran into problems. The cabin and the guest house were immaculate and cozy. Lastly, the weather (we stayed in late July) was a wonderful reprieve from the summer heat, with night temps dropping into the low 50s. Five stars!
We had a very comfortable stay at the cabin. Quiet, beautiful location. The hosts were very helpful and thought of all the details. Highly recommend and hope to visit again!
We LOVED this place. Photos can't do the stream justice. It is on the property and you can watch it run while sitting on the front deck, and it flows fast enough to provide beautiful white noise. Hosts were super friendly (and have great dogs we got to meet). Cascade is gorgeous, and there is so much to do within a 30 minute drive radius.

Cody and family. Thank you for staying with us and it was our pleasure to share Jake and Fred with the girls :) Enjoy the rest of your summer! Thanks again :)
We absolutely loved everything about this home-Cheryl and Mike were amazing hosts who provided a wonderful space for our family’s visit. The extra touches-robes, snacks, games, books-just added to a spectacular cabin in a breathtaking location.

Thank you for the 5 star review! What a pleasure it was meeting you and your family. Mike and I are so glad this was a nice spot to use as a "home base" as you visited with friends and family. Come visit us again!
Fun enjoying attractions around Colorado Springs and then relaxing in the cabin at the end of the day. Great location by the creek. Hard not to relax on the front porch.
Was a wonderful place to relax with family. The park nearby was so nice for the kids to play. The cabin even had things to accommodate our baby. Everything we needed was here. Our favorite was the porch and just sitting and listening to the running water of the creek.
The locations is great. The hosts were very nice and everything was better than expected. The hosts provided everything we needed except the food and drinks we needed for the time there.

Thanks Glen for staying at Creekside Cabins. What a fun group of folks you all are! It made us happy to see all of you enjoying the front porch, creek and surrounding areas. We would defiantly host Glen, Pam and their guest anytime!
Loved our time at Cheryl and Mike's Creekside Cabin.
We were their first ever guests. No problems at all. Were very informative of the area and it's attractions.
Would 100% recommend their property and will stay with them again.

Thank you so much for the 5 star review!!
We can't say enough about this family and how wonderful they are! Yes, this family was our very first guest and it was our first time hosting. They were patient, understanding of a couple of hiccups and just all around "AWESOME!" They will always welcome!
I wanted rhe grandkids to have an "authentic cabin in the mountains" experience and they got it. This cabin was very quaint and historic yet had all the modern ammenities we needed. And...the flowing creek out front was a special bonus!! The hosts made sure we had all that we needed...hoping to be back some day!
Fabulous cabin, can't wait to go back, amazing hosts
We have stayed at many VRBOs and this one is one of our favorites. The cabin was in a wonderful location, with easy access to Manitou Springs, and a great home base for our little day trips. The cabin itself is just far enough away though to be a quiet, serene get away. There is a little stream right by the house so you always have the quiet, perfect sound of water and it is right by a great trail. The house was very clean and comfortable, with perfectly charming cabin decor. Even the sofa bed was amazingly comfortable. The hosts welcome you like family. We really hope to be back someday and would not look anywhere else in the area- no reason to!

About the host
Hosted by Cheryl and Michael Knight
We have lived in Cascade, Colorado for the last 32 years on Cascade Creek and our residence is adjacent to Creekside Cabin and the guest house. Our friends, Wayne & Gay Hasle were the previous hosts and decided to sell this picturesque property in the winter of 2021. When we heard that , we jumped at the opportunity to be the next caretakers of this historic beautiful cabin and guest house. We still love having morning coffee on the front porch overlooking Cascade creek...doesn't get any better than that. Michael is a native of beautiful Colorado Springs and I am a transplant from the friendly state of Iowa.
