Camper is small, but cozy and worked well for my son and I to spend a few days relaxing! Hosts are very friendly, responsive, and helpful and we loved spending time in the pool.

Every aspect of my booking & stay was convenient & seamless; from the reasonable price, online reservation process, host communication, beautiful grounds, to the abundant amenities offered there was nothing I or my family wanted for. Don & Kim are accommodating, professional & experienced hosts and it showed. Thank you for the wonderful experience I recommend their multiple spaces to anyone & would stay with them again without hesitation!

Hosts are easy to communicate with and very nice. The pool barn is not part of the package. You will be able to swim and use the hot tub, however. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking! Cute town with interesting places to visit.

The bottom line: this property is not ready for prime time. It should not be listed on vrbo. There is a note in the listing about potential leaking when it rains, but wow when we arrived, after some rain, there was standing water on the floor. We had to get out towels to mop it up. Rain had even gotten onto one of the beds, and of course my daughter didn’t want to sleep there so that made things even more challenging. What is not mentioned in the description is that condensation steadily leaks anytime the AC is run. And this is right down the center of the RV, next to the table where I was keeping my computer. In the two attached photos, note the water dripping at the top of one, and the trashcan and towels where we had to catch the water under the AC in the other.This is an extremely old RV that should be retired. Parts of it are literally kept together by tape on the outside. The overall property is lovely, and the hosts were nice to deal with, but this particular listing should be pulled.

Amazing. Some people choose to be ungrateful no matter what you do. The AC did leak through the vent in the ceiling. I fixed it by simply unclogging the AC drain. The window did leak during a torrential downpour. We had another mattress and bedding to replace the one that got wet, but instead they chose to share one of the other beds. I then fixed the window leak as well. They then asked for a partial refund for the one of three days that they stayed, which we granted for the inconvenience, and yet they still leave a one star review and complain. The camper is 16 years old, and guests are not always considerate in their use of it. However, it has been modified in many ways to provide more comfort, and we are continually improving it to make it even better. We strive to make every stay a fun, comfortable stay, at an affordable price relative to other options. We are sorry to disappoint.

Great location

This rental is right by Indiana Dunes and in a nice neighborhood. Main bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower needs repaired. There was not a cloth to wash dishes with. The skillet in the cabinet still had food in it. We did walk around the block to get Uno Pizza which is in a speakeasy setting. Nice place. It was early for swimming but we did take a dip. Don let us stay late to enjoy the sun. The pool is well cared for. Overall a good rental.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the late checkout to enjoy the pool. Thanks for acknowledging a great location, nice neighborhood, and comfortable beds. A previous guest the same week did crack the base of the shower. We now have a new one. All towels are all kept in the closet. Since guest wash and put away everything themselves. We don't check every dish between every nightly stay. Perhaps we should. We welcome everyone upon check-in and encourage all to ask us if they have any questions or need anything. We mean it. We will quickly provide anything needed or correct anything we can. We strive to anticipate all needs and concerns, but sometimes fall short. Ask and we will immediately correct it. Isn't it better to get what you want rather than criticize or complain after the fact?

First time camper users!

The host was wonderful and the property was well kept! We didn’t love Porter, but the proximity to the dunes, restaurants and the property itself brought location and neighborhood up to a 4! That was my first time staying in a camper so I was a little thrown off by the movement through the night. Obviously no fault of the camper, just putting that out there for anyone else who may also be a first timer! I also want to suggest planning your day strategically to be out and about or in the pool midday if it’s a really hot day because the camper has a hard time fighting the extreme heat. Overall, we had a great stay and I would recommend this listing. We used the beautiful pool daily, the host was very responsive and staying in a camper was a fun little adventure for us and our two littles.

The hot tub was the main reason I chose this property over others and it was not disclosed that the jets were not working until we arrived.we were told they are on order. Who wants to just sit in a hot community bath with no jets? We casually overlooked that but the smell of sewer that filled the RV got worse every time we flushed the toilet. At first we just thought it was because it’s probably been closed up for months. We thought it would dissipate but was so bad we left at 230am and drove around the area for an hour to find a decent hotel room. This was such a disappointment for my birthday get away! I texted the owner 10 hours ago when we left and got no response! Strongly recommend NOT staying in this RV. And no response from the owner???…

Don and Kim were great hosts and very helpful during our trip. Great pool and accommodations. The only not positive thing I will mention is we stayed in the travel trailer parked on the property, I feel the description wasn't accurate or maybe I should have read the details a little closer. The beds were very comfortable but personally I feel that the trailer option may need to retire. Again great property, amazing hosts!!!
