Excellent property, and very comfortable stay. I was attending a conference at the nearby Hyatt, and this was an easy walk. Great home base for exploring Sonoma and adjacent areas too. Would definitely recommend!
Our family stayed in this house for 2 nights while visiting Santa Rosa. The location was perfect, we could not hear the noise from the city center but we were close enough to walk to the city center. There was a park around the corner that was perfect for our toddler and dog. I will be staying at this house again in the future
Absolutely loved this spot! The house was so cute and had the best yard. Location was the absolute best! We took so many walks in this adorable neighborhood. A dog park was right down the street that my pup loved and we walked every morning to the incredible coffee shop around the corner, and every night we were just a few blocks from many restaurant options and one of the best ice cream shops I’ve been to! 30 minutes from the beach and just a few minutes from the convention I was in town for. The house had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable! Will definitely be back!!
Such a cute little cottage - has everything you need despite its small size. Comfortable beds, clean hot tub, great location. Communication was warm, friendly, and proactive. My friends and I really enjoyed staying here during our RRB Pliny the Younger pilgrimage! Thanks so much for our lovely stay.
We had a wonderful experience staying in Santa Rosa in this charming historic home. It was very clean, attention to details throughout and the beds were so comfortable. The home is an easy walk to downtown which we did several times. The hot springs spa outback was very clean and the yard and mature garden gave a lot of privacy and beauty. The neighborhood was fun to walk around, many old homes and established vegetation. Great
location!
We loved staying at Allen's historic home. We looked around at properties in the area (the reason for our trip) and this was a great central location. The fenced back yard made it possible for our hound dog to go in and out freely. The house is small but has everything we needed. Didn't use the hot tub but if we come on a warmer day we'll definitely try it out.
The property was very clean, well light & maintained. Very quiet neighborhood with excellent parking. Close to downtown for breakfast at the Omelette Express & local shops in the Railroad Square area.
Easy access to highway 12 for an afternoon at the coast in Bodega Bay, Jenner, or if you want to head north to Glass beach.
It was nice to have a laundry facility on site, this helps with the need to pack as much.
Allen was awesome with communication, house exactly as advertised. Nice neighborhood, close to 3 great restaurants, grocery store. We stayed in a couple of nights after visiting wineries, everything we needed was in the well stocked kitchen. A nice bottle of wine greeted us on our arrival. The hot tub was a nice added perk. Fun trip.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this adorable cottage. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the wifi was strong and reliable, and it was great to be in walking distance of old downtown. I wish we had better weather to enjoy the beautiful backyard, but we were grateful for the washer & dryer after we got absolutely soaked on our bike ride in the rain. Communication with the host was excellent -- Allen sent detailed information for arrival as well as departure, made sure we got in fine, and provided us with a way to contact him if we needed anything. This place will be top of my list the next time I visit.
Husband and I stayed here with our two young daughters in early August. A perfect, central location for a Santa Rosa or wider Sonoma wine country visit, the house itself is even more charming in person, well-maintained, and comfortable, with everything you could need and a beautiful backyard that we and our children spent the bulk of our time in. The furnishings and decor had also been updated quite a bit from the listing photos, which was an unexpected bonus. We love the historic homes in the neighborhood, the walkability, and proximity to Railroad Square (the food, the shops, the antiques, the breweries) and downtown. Allen was very patient with some initial communication issues I was having through VRBO, and was as accommodating and reachable as the the listing info and reviews suggest. We will definitely be back!
This home is in the perfect location for everything we love. Sebastopol, Sonoma, Napa, Bodega Bay, and hiking at Mt Hood. House was perfectly and thoughtfully stocked. We did have a pet emergency while we were staying and the Banfield nearby was amazing and companionate.
We had a great time staying at this property in Santa Rosa. Location was perfect to visit family favorite wineries and uncover new gems, too. The house was well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. The shared bathroom was bigger than expected. The portable AC units cooled the house nicely. The outside of the house was equally as welcoming. We were able to sit outside morning and eve to enjoy the beautiful weather. Having a driveway for parking was convenient. It was nice to meet Allen as we arrived. Overall, the house met our needs very well. It was a great experience!
We enjoyed the location and the outdoor space very much. The quaint, historic house met our needs and was very well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the linens were good quality. One small area for improvement would be the lighting. The kitchen and bathroom lights were very bright with the only option being on or off. We did appreciate the multiple night lights provided. Still gave it a 5.
We enjoyed our stay and used this as a place to make sojourns into wine country for lunch and wine tastings. The cottage was convenient, comfortable, and well equipped. We did a little cooking and the gas stove and pot and pan set were great. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was good. The fridge was a good size and the couch was comfortable for tv watching. We ate outside at the table in the yard a couple of times. The location is close to the old downtown which has a number of good restaurants and interesting stores. It was an enjoyable get away.
This newly Victorian cottage had every room touched with beautiful accents of an era. Very clean, air conditioned rooms, in a good location for bike paths, local eateries like the Criminal Baking Company. The property has a lovely rose garden and a place to relax outside with nice outdoor furniture. Our family had a wonderful time there.
