We had a wonderful stay. Marnie was an excellent and very helpful host. Crane’s nest is cozy and comfortable and has all you need. The walking trails on the property are great and our dog loved them.
The space is clean, comfortable, and adorable. Everything you need is provided for a nice stay. We were welcomed with gifts and a card left upon the table :) The property has their own walking paths that are well maintained and it is close to many restaurants and outdoor activities. The host was super nice and provided recommendations on the area. We would definitely stay again!
This was a great place to stay. It was ideally located for visiting Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. The rental was very clean and came with everything we needed, like towels, dishes, and firewood. We enjoyed using the fire pit at night and traveling to places like High Falls Gorge during the day. Marnie Crane was a friendly, helpful host who's goal is to make sure every visitor is comfortable and has a good time.
Our stay was excellent. Property is brand new and immaculate. Host is extremely responsive even had a few things waiting for us such as creamer. Only 15-20 min from center of Lake Placid. Definitely recommend for a small party.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Crane's Nest. This was our first time in the Adirondacks and we were in town for a wedding. As I was officiating, it required a lot of back and forth travel and the Crane's Nest really felt like a home away from home. We had everything we needed and were able to mostly follow our normal daily routines, which really reduced the stress of travel. The area is beautiful and you have a lot of privacy. When sitting outside on the back deck or with all the windows open, all you hear are the sounds of nature and it was stellar. I am so glad we chose to stay here over staying in a hotel. We highly recommend staying at the Crane's Nest!
The location was great. I can say, the pictures posted can't even touch how great the place really is. Such a relaxing setting. I loved that there was a private deck to sit out on to have coffee in the morning. You feel like you are the only ones there, which is great! The apartment was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed. Very organized. She gave great recommendations of what to do and visit in the area. I loved everything about this place. The host was very responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. They even left a gift and card, which was a lovely touch.
My daughter & I stayed at the Crane's Nest from 10/3/22 to 10/6/22. Such a beautiful time to visit the mountains, crisp fall air and autumn leaves at their most colorful. The property was very well maintained with trails into the woods and access to the river. We felt very safe & comfortable here, and plan on returning in the future.
The apartment itself was so nice. The kitchen is small, but very well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The dining table by the window was a nice touch, we watched the wild turkeys run by as we ate lunch. :-). The living room area was great for lounging. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was surprisingly large and well appointed. There is even a small porch off the back of the apartment where we watched the birds & red squirrels.
We met Marnie on our second day there. She made us feel so welcome.
The Crane's Nest is a lovely studio apartment. Spotlessly clean and very well cared for. I highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay and I can't wait till I can visit again.
The studio was very good for 2 people. The bed and bedding very comfortable, everything you need was there. The best part was the fire pit out back. After a busy day coming back and relaxing by the fire was awesome. We're sorry we didn't get to meet Marnie but we did meet Matt and Dozer and both were very nice. The only suggestion I would give is to put a light out by the road. We passed it every time we went back in the dark. LOL. Thank you so much for a great place to stay! Patty and Keith
Cranes Nest was a great place to stay and the hosts were very accommodating. We took advantage of everything they had to offer, trails, sitting by the river, and the fire pit. The views were breathtaking and location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to get in the area.
The app made it very easy and the property was easy to find. It was very nice that the owner happened to be outside at the time of our arrival to greet us and show us quickly where to go. It was a lovely long weekend in the Adirondacks and would be happy to book again. The only thing missing was laundry facilities of some kind. Especially in a muddy month like February, we found ourselves needing to wash some clothes, but had to wait until we got home. A minor point in an otherwise seamless mini vacation. Thank you!
Impeccable! Place is absolutely spotless, great host that gave us tips about local happenings. About 30 minutes drive to Whiteface. We will definitely come again!
The Crane's Nest was such a cute rental for my friend and I's few days' getaway! It had all we needed on site, was cozy, and easily accessible to town. The snowy trails on the property were awesome for exploring and running. The hosts were communicative and thoughtful, and their cute pooch didn't hurt! It was a fine space for 2 people, but any more might be a bit tight as it was just a studio space. But truly, we enjoyed and would absolutely consider staying again!
Very comfortable cozy studio setup. Nice clean complete kitchen. Owners were easy to contact and very helpful. Great location, close to tons of hiking trails, and not far from Lake Placid. I'm already planning to go back for a winter cross country ski trip.
Highly recommend

An amazing fire pit on top of a hill with a great view of the mountains and stars at night
Private, endless trails to roam and explore on your own
No neighbors so true wilderness bliss
Access to the Saranac River just across the street!
