McKenzie Mtn Way Chalet

Beautiful location in Bloomingdale with views of Whiteface Mtn and the McKenzie Mtn Range. You and your family and friends can enjoy the secludedness from your busy lives while sitting next to a campfire in the larg fire pit in the yard. Located only 10 mins from Saranac Lake, 20 mins to Lake Placid, and 30 mins to Whiteface Mtn., our home offers many close by outdoor activities and experiences (hiking, biking, boating, swimming, downhill and x-country skiing, skating, sledding, dog sleds, etc)

We allow Pets - Only friendly dogs. Maximum of 2 dogs per stay. If you plan on bringing a dog(s), you MUST get approval first, let me know how many and breed of dog(s). Prior to leaving, especially if you have shedding dogs, please cleanup as much dog hair as possible. If an abundance of dog hair is not cleaned up, you will be charged additional cleaning fee.
No Cats or other animals allowed in house.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and return the keys
1. Please strip sheets and pillow cases from each bed that was used and bring to the basement. 2. Please bring all dirtied towels and such to the basement.
3. Please wash one load of sheets and/or towels and place into dryer. 4. Please make sure all garbage is bagged and placed in trash bin on deck.
5. Please turn off ALL lights! 6. Please let me know when you leave

A wonderful place to stay!

The house was in a beautiful setting, close to lots of activities, and super comfortable. It was also great that we could bring our dog along (she really enjoyed the snow:) We would love to visit again in the summer!

Peaceful, dog-friendly

The cabin is great, everthing you need is there. The view is stunning and it is so peaceful. And it is dog-friendly to boot, with a large property for the pooch to explore. The wild turkeys strolling around were icing on the cake.

Perfect R&R Get Away

The property is amazing. Very private and quiet but only 10 - 30 minutes from activities and restaurants! If you are looking to recharge, this is the place. The owners are great and very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great place

The place was very clean and exactly as the listing stated. The owner was very easy to communicate with and answered all questions I had. The location was great and close to all the activities we wanted to do. We also loved that they had a large property for my little dig to run and the kids to play. They evenn had dog dishes.

Great Adventure

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was meticulously kept and comfortable. We enjoyed snowshoeing at Henry Woods and had a great time in Lake Placid. Hope to be back next winter.

Just what we were looking for.

The owner was very accomodating. The place was on the outskirts, but not too far from civilization. It was very clean and well maintained. It is one of very few places that would accept pets with an understandable request to clean up after them. We really enjoyed ourselves and will plan to stay again.

Wonderful property & memory

The house and property are really spectacular. Our host was extremely helpful getting us settled in. House has really user friendly tv / movie options which was super fun post skiing. In addition, while the house sits in a secluded private road, the cell service was outstanding. Really appreciate the time we had here and hope to book again sometime soon.

Beautiful house in a peaceful location

The house is beautiful and has everything you could need. The location is quiet and peaceful but close enough to shops and restaurants if needed. Well maintained and the owner is super easy to communicate with. We have an older kid but the layout could be tricky for families with younger kids just because the master bedroom is on a different floor from the other bedrooms.

Ice Fishing and Winter Carnival Weekend

The house is beautiful, clean, quiet and well situated to get to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. This was our yearly trip to Saranac Lake for the Winter Carnival and to see the Ice Castle and we were very happy with the Chalet. Our group had a great time. We had our dogs with us, the yard was perfect for them to get energy out. The house had everything we needed from the kitchen to the rooms. There is plenty of parking for our group. We had a wonderful time.

Perfect for a Ski-Cation!

This property was even better than we could have hoped for! The communication with Craig was prompt and detailed. The lodge didn't lack for amenities. My husband and I (and our small dog) stayed for a few days while we skied at nearby Whiteface Mountain, and then toured Lake Placid. To come back to such a warm and comforting environment at the end of a very tiring day was sheer bliss. We are already talking about visiting again in the summer/fall and you can be sure we will stay here again. Craig thank you for everything! Stacy O'

Very nice cabin on secluded property surrounded by woods. Wildlife (deer, turkeys) visited daily. The upstairs master bedroom is very large and wonderful with a view of the mountains through the sliding glass door. Close (12 minutes) to Lake Saranac for dining, kayaking, etc. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we return to the region.

Mountain Hideaway

The McKenzie Mtn View cabin is a great place from which to enjoy the central Adirondacks. The cabin is in the hamlet of Bloomingdale so you're away from the tourist throngs in Lake George or Lake Placid but still very close to hiking and biking trails and ponds and lakes for boating and fishing. We especially enjoyed riding our bikes on the new Adirondack Rail Trail, one of the prettiest trails we've ever ridden. We also enjoyed walking our dog on Moose Pond Road and letting him swim in the pond itself. All within 3-4 miles of the cabin. The cabin itself is very comfortable. You have a large outdoor play area for kids or pets. Inside, there's plenty of room and conveniences include excellent WiFi. The cabin also has air conditioning, something we used for a few nights during a July heat wave. Definitely an great place to stay.

Beautiful space inside and out

Loved this location, the mountain view was amazing! Everything was just as described. A great space for family to gather and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Even had some wildlife visit the yard.

Excellent Winter Getaway

Everything was easy about our stay: the location was ideal to pop over to the VIC for some XC skiing; kitchen was adequately set with pans, tools, etc.; easy trips to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid for restaurants.The big surprise was the AMAZING sunrise views of Whiteface and the MacKenzie Mountains.

Pet and Snowmobile friendly

Awesome location, private, plenty of parking and pet friendly. Dogs loved the yard with room to run and we loved being able to snowmobile from the property- no need to haul to trail head just a little road riding to hit the trail system- We rode to Malone, Lake Placid and Saranac lake. Beautiful views and especially sun rises on clear days.
