We were welcomed by the smell of evergreens surrounding the house! Very comfortable for the 6 of us, with every need met. We would recommend this spotless house for anyone wanting a quiet getaway close to Lake Placid.

Long weekend for winter carnival

It was a wonderful stay. We loved the setting if where the house was and the fireplace.. it was like we were in a winter wonderland nestled in the woods. Only about 5 minutes from outskirts of Lake Placid. We loved it!

Beautiful Area

Our stay in Lake Placid was everything we’d hoped for. The fall colors were amazing!! Downtown had a wonderful charm. Good food, walked around, drove around and enjoyed every bit of our stay! Emma’s house fit us well four adults and 1 pup, plenty of room for all and pup playing!

Great location.

House was clean, and property was well-kept. We were in Lake Placid for a lacrosse event, which was being held only a mile from where Kim’s house is located so it was perfect for our family. Also, only a short ride to town which was terrific.

Nice house

The house was comfortable with a nice yard and deck for us and our dog. The neighborhood was beautiful. This area was close to many of the things to do around Lake Placid.

Beautiful cottage

This was our 6th stay at this beautiful cottage. We always have 2 dogs with us , and all the time they are so happy. This place is their favorite. Everything is perfectly fine.

Winter getaway

Very comfortable house, more home away from home than vacation rental. Well appointed kitchen. Big yard on a quiet loop, good for pups. Plenty of space for 5 adults and a dog. Perfect location, 2 minutes to the Olympic Center or to Ski Jumps, 15 mins to Whiteface.

Super comfortable at a great location

We brought our family here to show them around thevLake Placid region. We wanted a quiet comfortable clean place that was affordable and in a convenient spot. Kims place ticked all those boxes. We appreciated the timely communication as well. Weve been coming to the Adirondacks esp LP for 40 plus years and stayed many places but Kims place stocked this spot better than most. We did the cooking there and didnt need anything . Highly reccomend!@

We visited LP for New Years with my 4 adult children and 2 dogs. The home was clean and comfortable, and did not smell like animals, which is unusual for homes that accept pets. Kitchen had more than enough equipment to make meals. The 3rd bedroom had a day bed that was separated into 2 twins - one on the floor. The place was perfect for what we wanted. We would rent again.

Nice home in Lake Placid, close to everything, but owner lives on site too

Listing should have made it clear that the owner, and her dogs, live downstairs in the same house. Hearing her dogs bark made our own dog anxious. We all felt that we had to be extra quiet, which is not what we anticipated when renting a house which we thought would be private. The driveway is steep, which could be an issue in the winter if you don’t have all-wheel drive. However, the location is excellent, close to town and ski, and the kitchen well stocked, and beds comfortable. Another note—no washer/dryer.

Nice place but needs work

Very nice location, privacy but also close to town, and very nice decor. However, they need a handyman in there for about a week to fix/upgrade A LOT of stuff: 1) the main bathroom has two doors, neither one lached; 2) the bedrooms had very thin blinds and no curtians, so be 5:30 on a summer morning, it was pretty bright in there; 3) no keypad or deadbolt on front door, and only one key; 4) deck very overdue for refinishing; 5) weak internet (and TV is streaming only). I could go on. Really, this is a nice place, but it need some work done asap.

Everything was very nice. Clean and welcoming. The ability to do laundry was greatly appreciated after climbing peaks. The only issue was an inability to open the wifi.

We really enjoyed this house! It had plenty of room with a large great room that contained a living, dining and kitchen. There were enough window a/c's to cool things down on a couple of hot days and heat to ward off the chill towards the end of our rental (one month) The property is roomy and flat (except the driveway) with a large deck, ideal if you have a doggie! Even though the neighborhood is close to a main road, it was very quiet and quite pretty with houses not close together. One unexpected plus are a series of trails that go in different directions from the house. The owner/host was easy to contact and very accommodating.

Perfect location! This was our 3rd time staying here. The house is perfectly situated for access to the Ironman course. Plenty of rooms for friends and family to hang out. The house has everything you need. Kim is very easy to work with and helpful.

Second time was equally wonderful

This is our second time visiting Lake Placid and staying at this location. We find the home spacious with all the kitchen amenities that we need. The location is also great. It takes about 10 minutes to get into the heart of the shops and eating establishments.
