Welcome Aboard! “The Boathouse” is a beautiful, waterfront cottage on Mona Lake. The 4 bedroom, 2 full bathroom cottage is updated and modern, with the feeling of being on a large yacht. Nautically inspired design, and yachtsman like touches, will inspire you to take the helm, drop anchor and enjoy a vacation like no other. On the shores edge there is a deck so close to the water you will swear you are riding on the aft of your personal yacht. The hot tub is available year round, relax in the warm water and enjoy the beautiful view. Winter is a great time to visit, Muskegon’s winter sports complex is a short drive. Enjoy X-Country skiing, or try your skills on the luge, then come back, jump in the spa and relax. Celebrate the sunrise and the sunset on our 2021 Bennington pontoon, included in your stay, (pontoon is only available June 1st through October 25th) the perfect way to let all the landlubber worries fade away. The “Boathouse” has 4 bedrooms, 1 on the main level and 3 upstairs. Two of the upstairs quarters have balconies to relax and take in the lake breezes. There’s also a “head” on each floor with stand up showers, bath and hand towels are provided. The galley has all of your cooking and dining essentials to make delicious meals for your crew. Gather around the butcher block island to share fish stories or sit around our lakeside fire pit and reminisce about your memories of the past. We invite you to “set sail” on a vacation destination like no other, area attractions include Michigan’s Adventure theme park, world class beaches, beautiful Lake Michigan, gourmet restaurants, historic submarine, light houses, musical fountains, zip lines, and ice luges all await. Please read entire post*The hosts were very receptive and answered our requests very quickly. The house was clean and well equipped.Decor was nicely done, very contemporary.The pontoon boat worked great for us.All that being said, we felt the area was not very desirable. There was not a lot to do in the Muskegon area, except for the great beach at Lake Michigan. The neighborhoods and businesses were run down in the area or were closed and out of business. We traveled to Grand Haven for family outings, Mona lake itself did not seem very clean for water sports such as swimming, floating, or playing at the shoreline with little children.

This cottage was sparkling clean and comfortably furnished. Owners were available at all hours to answer our questions and help us troubleshoot the hot tub temp. We definitely look forward to coming back again!

Great weekend getaway

Relaxing Week at The Lake

Property was exactly as pictured. Perfect spot for a family getaway woth our friends and family from Cjicago. Two families with 4 kids and the place was perfect. Good location on the lake and close to any stores (Meijer, sbux, etc). Very nice boat was a nice benefit also!

Long weekend in Muskegon

What a great house and property. We enjoyed the boat and hot tub. The property was close to the beach and we enjoyed hanging outside as well. Would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a place in and around Muskegon

Beautiful Beach House!

Very clean and stocked with everything you need. Hot tub was great especially after a day of X-country skiing. Beds were comfortable and more than enough room for all. Can't wait to book for a summer getaway!

Lovely beach themed cottage near Grand Haven

The Beach House on Mona Lake was a perfect spot for our family vacation! It was newly remodeled and decorated with a lovely beach vibe. The brand new included pontoon boat was a fantastic bonus as were the Kayaks, fire pit, hot tub and lovely outdoor area. The lake was easy to navigate and not overly crowded.

Mona Lake Cottage
