About this property

The SW Mountain Experience

Welcome to Sueño Azul! This is the perfect home base for your travels in northern Arizona, offering a tastefully decorated space, with a unique southwestern flair, in the heart of Flagstaff. A lovingly furnished home, combining modern amenities with eclectic design, creating a one-of-a-kind experience. Not just a vacation, but the opportunity to create lasting memories! Conveniently located close to all the sought-after sight-seeing destinations in the area!

Upon entrance, you will find yourself in our open concept living, and dining kitchen area, greeting you with its unique, welcoming flair. The entire place has been decorated in an upscale, southwest style, with lots of colorful touches and flowing patterns as well as one-of-a-kind antiques and art pieces.

The eye-catchers of our living room are a customized weaving of a painting by famous artist Ed Mell, depicting Flagstaff’s majestic mountain, the San Francisco Peaks; our decorative antique parlor stove set in a custom-built fireplace niche; and an intricately carved and metal embossed coffee table. Sit back and relax in one of our red leather couches, log into your own streaming services on our big, flat-screen, TV and enjoy your favorite show! We offer high-speed Internet throughout the property at no additional charge as well!

Close by you will see our dining area with comfortable seating around a solid wood table, the perfect space to enjoy meals with your friends and family, a board game, or simply to hang out!

From here you can also access our lovingly put-together kitchen. It is fully equipped with all the major appliances, tools, and items any hobby cook could desire, and then some! Lots of working space on beautiful tile countertops that are a piece of art by themselves, a stylish bar area, and tastefully colorful touches throughout will turn a chore into a pleasurable experience for the entire group, offering you the possibility to share home-cooked meals during your stay!

All bedrooms are located towards your right, away from the living and dining area, at the end of the hallway. All beds have brand new super comfortable mattresses, so you can sleep tight and wake energized for a day full of adventures! You will find two bedside chargers for your personal devices in each bedroom.
Each bedroom greets you with its own, uniquely themed charm, be it due to their captivating artworks or antique pieces of furniture. They all have one thing in common, comfort and beauty.

The master bedroom features a spacious king-sized bed and an attached master bathroom. It is the biggest of the bedrooms with a big closet, nightstands, and dressers for lots of storage space for your belongings. The master bathroom offers a spacious Mexican sink and double vanity, jetted tub with shower, and a toilet. Enjoy the intricate tile work throughout.

The first guest bedroom can be accessed in two ways, through the master bedroom or the hallway at the entrance, making it a great sleeping space for the younger members of your group. It comes with a twin day bed with another twin underneath, which can be pulled out for use. The huge walk-in closet offers lots of space for personal belongings. The room even has a small, antique desk with a flip-down workspace for your laptop. Perfect for home office or homework.

Each of the two remaining guest bedrooms comes with one queen-sized bed. One sports two limited edition framed prints of Grand Canyon paintings. The other is appointed with solid artisan carved wood furniture from the 1800s.

The second bathroom, or guest bathroom, offers a tub with a shower, another beautiful vanity, and a toilet. Again, take pleasure in the artisan tile craftsmanship all around.

The laundry area is located between kitchen and garage and features a brand new washer and dryer, available for your use during your stay!

Our property also offers two outdoor patios to allow you maximum enjoyment of our fresh mountain air and landscape.
The first is our spacious patio at the main entrance with comfortable seating around a round table; the perfect spot to take in the lovely views our neighborhood has to offer.
The second is a sandstone patio in a big backyard with additional outdoor seating and a BBQ grill, ready for your use! Enjoy burgers, and your favorite drink, in this peaceful and relaxing native ponderosa landscape setting. You have earned it!

Comfortable and Smart Gem that Lives Large
Our family had such a great time at this property. The utilitarian design and function of this house is incredibly well thought out. It has such a smart layout that you can't believe how large the house feels. The house has exactly what you need and nothing weighing it down. The kitchen is fully supplied with tons of room to work (I think we had 3 cooks at one time!). All appliances and bathroom fixtures are new and the entire home was fantastically clean. The beds were comfortable and each room had plenty of closet and drawer space if you don't like living out of your luggage. We are not skiers, but there was even an entire designated space for sporting equipment (so clever). On top of the smart layout, the visual design is pleasantly specific to the locale and its beauty heightened our visitor experience. We didn't get many chances to enjoy the outside spaces, but the front table space inside the curved wall looked so cozy and perfect for laid back conversations in the sun and the back yard was ample enough for lots of goofy play and games. Our group this trip included 5 adults and 1 child. If this had been a more kid-containing trip, this house might not have felt as large as it did for us (just thinking about my fellow parents our there). But those outside spaces are super fantastic, so if the weather is good, this would be a great 2 families with kiddos rental, you would just want to chase some of that kiddo energy outside. (The front driveway even has embedded stone patterns that glow in the dark at night! A huge and fun surprise for my daughter). ...Also, we did the dog park puzzle and it is way harder than it looked. (Ha ha!) The location within town is perfect for grocery runs, downtown hangs and easy access to the urban trail system and Buffalo Park (surprise finds once we got there). It's on the northern side of town too, so it's a good jumping off point for all the incredible outdoor adventures for northern Arizona. If we get a chance to return to Flagstaff, this will be the first rental we look for. I feel that there is little room for doubt that the owners of this home are incredibly thoughtful and intentional.

Amazing
We 1000% reccomend this property if you're looking for a central location to the Grand Canyon and other nearby parks and attractions. Even more so if you're also looking for a comfortable house in a quaint neighborhood with an amazing host who went above and beyond to accommodate us.

Beautifully Decorated Home in a Quiet Neighborhood
This property was perfect for our NAU family weekend. It was close to the school and downtown. Kitchen was big and was very well stocked with pots/pans, dinnerware and coffee supplies.
