We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautifully tucked away in the pines—a peaceful retreat on the edge of Flagstaff. It was very well stocked with linens and kitchenware, making it easy to settle right in. We were blessed with a mix of gentle showers followed by perfect fall weather, with the golden aspens at their peak—absolutely stunning. The host was very communicative and provided prompt responses, which made everything smooth and easy. The only downside was the master bedroom mattress, which could really use replacing. Otherwise, a fantastic getaway spot!
Enjoyed this property during Labor Day weekend to escape the Phoenix-area heat. Ample space for the entire family with upstairs and downstairs living rooms. Kids loved the "vintage" video game, but also loved being outside playing in the dirt. Everyone said it felt like camping, but in a house because you are surrounded by nature. Saw lots of squirrels and deer. Highly recommend.
Had a great stay! The place was clean and cozy, and we loved the arcade and pool table—tons of fun. Super quiet spot in the woods, perfect for relaxing. Would definitely recommend!
Spirit Hollow Retreat was just what we were looking for. The home is beautiful and in a great quiet location but just outside of town so easy access to everything.
We had a birthday gathering over 5 days and the house was perfect for relatives coming in from other parts of country. The game room was especially enjoyed! The kitchen was well equipped and the AC units in bedroom and living room very much appreciated. Will definitely rent again.
The cabin was great for a big family get away. The large dining table was so fun for family card games. The cabin was stocked well with kitchenware, bedding, and extra supplies (toilet paper, etc.).
Kids enjoyed the arcade game downstairs and it was a fun throwback for the adults.
The property is nicely placed with beautiful trees to help feel private. We were even surprised with a late spring snowstorm and got to experience the cabin as a winter wonderland in spring.
Property was as listed. Clean and properly stocked with kitchen utensils etc. Plenty of space. Our kids enjoyed playing pool. The master bedroom and bath are big and spacious. Very secluded and peivate area. We enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here for my son's graduation. His extended family came in from out of town and we had 9 people there. All fit around the table for dinner and games. Plus the maim area had enough seating for us all to sit together. The kitchen was fully stocked for all the cooking we do. Thank you for the beautiful place.
Great time in Flagstaff. Beautiful as always. The cabin was as expected, very clean and very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped, everything we needed to prepare our meals. We did experience problems with both televisions, no reception. It was a relaxing time. We will definitely be back!! Thank you
If you are looking for a place with a gorgeous view and entertainment for the kids this is the place for you. Our kids loved the pool table and arcade game. The kitchen table could fit all ten of us. We even rented the off road vehicle and loved it. Our only complaint was the internet was rough and the water pressure was bad when you ran the dishwasher or washing machine. Other than that it was perfection.

Fun Family Trip in a Beautiful Setting
We really enjoyed our family time at the Spirit Hollow Retreat — the cabin is tucked away in a peaceful setting and has a lot of great features like a pool table, arcade game, and modern appliances that made our stay fun and convenient. That said, I do feel the listing could be more accurate regarding the air conditioning. It’s advertised as air-conditioned, but there are only two portable A/C units upstairs and no cooling downstairs. There’s no central air, and we ended up needing to purchase extra fans to make it more comfortable. One of the upstairs bedrooms also had a broken ceiling fan, and the screen door was ripped, which made it hard to get airflow without letting bugs in.The deck area was another downside — it was quite dirty when we arrived, and some of the furniture was ripped. A portion of the deck was also broken, which raised safety concerns, especially with kids around. That being said, the host was truly awesome — super accommodating and easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and that made a big difference. The check-in process was smooth, and the location was beautiful and quiet. Overall, we had a wonderful time. I just think the listing should be updated to better reflect the amenities and condition of the property to help future guests plan accordingly.
Cell phone coverage is not reliable when you arrive. Keypad entry to get into the house was a big challenge & continued to be the whole trip.
Once you’re in…AMAZING! They thought of everything.. well stocked home from kitchen to the bathrooms. Basement is perfect from pool table, couches, TV,… great place to hang out..
Had a very short stay in the Flagstaff area and this home was just right for us. Ample room for 6 guest to move about. Well stocked with everything needed. Amenities said A/C but just note they are separate units in each room. The upstairs bedroom(closest to bath) had no AC on unit only heat and the ceiling fan was not functioning. Also there are no hooks the hangs towels and or clothes to dry. Have to hang on furniture to dry. Adequate for our stay.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Spirit Hollow Retreat. The home was just as described. There was ample space to spread out and lots of great communal areas as well. There are amazing views of the wooded nieghborhood out every window. Our teens liked having some privacy downstairs and we all enjoyed playing pool and getting reaquainted with some of our favorite old school video games. Craig was very responsive to any questions we had. The neighborhood is remote and quiet, yet a close drive back into town or up to Snowbowl. We hope to be back!!
The property was amazing. Set off the main road but tucked into the forest in a small community. Very quiet. Saw deer running around on our arrival.
Well stocked kitchen & linens & was perfect for a small group of friends to use as a jump off point to explore the area.
10min from groceries & 15min from downtown Flagstaff that has breweries, bars & places to eat even after most of the town shuts down for the night.
We had a great experience here. Communication with host was great & we had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. Know that fire restrictions are pretty strict in the area for obvious reasons.
This property was clean and well prepared. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed for each of the meals we made. The beds were soft and comfortable. The pellet stove in the living room made it nice and cozy. The only complaint we have is that the check in instructions clearly state you aren't allowed to walk around in the woods outside. The home is on some acreage but the boundaries aren't clearly marked so our kids couldn't really go outside and play without fear of the police being called.
The house was in a perfect location, not right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle but close enough to get where you wanted. Very close to the Flagstaff activities, close enough to the south rim Grand Canyon for a day trip and many, many trails nearby to explore. Dark skies at night to look at the stars as well as quiet and peaceful. The pool table and old school (old, old school ) video machine where also big hits!
Beautiful home in a stunning Flagstaff location! Check-in was super easy and Craig was an amazing host. The house was spotless, fully stocked, and had so many cozy spots to relax. Everything we needed was there. We loved every minute and can’t wait to stay again. Highly, highly recommend this perfect getaway!
Beautiful home and the location was perfect. Loved having the house amongst the trees. The kids loved playing hide and seek in the tall grass. Very close to snowbowl and many hiking trails. We would stay here again.
This is a cabin tucked off of Hidden Hollow. We enjoyed the location amongst the trees and it’s only a short 10min trip to town. We found the area very quiet and peaceful and enjoyed just sitting outside with great weather. We were looking to get away from the busyness of life and take a break, and this place delivered. The main living area, master bedroom, and kitchen are on the second level, so you do have to take everything up the stairs. (It was fine for us.) We did not use the lower level. But as others have commented, the master bed was way too soft and we found it uncomfortable. A lot of the outside furniture needs to be replaced (the weather has taken its toll) but there are some chairs by the fire pit that were fine that we used. Otherwise, this was a nice place to just relax outside and take in the nature and the calm. We really liked the location and that it was on a couple of acres. There are hiking trailheads just up the street that we walked to, which was nice. The host is great, quick to respond, and very nice and easy to deal with, which I definitely appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
