Great house in secluded neighborhood and great for kids. Plenty of outdoor activities within 1 hour, could not have asked for a better place.

Peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable!

Had a wonderful stay and enjoyed every bit of it! Peaceful serenity listening to the creek flowing by outside. This is the perfect getaway location. The bed was very comfortable, grill was ready to go, tons of board games to play, and the record player provided a nice vibe! Can wait to visit again!

Great place, just doesn't have a a hot tub.

I loved this place and Jenn + Brent were super nice and helpful with everything. My only complaint was that this place showed up on my search when I filtered by places that have a hot tub. It does not have a hot tub, but everything else about the place was great. There is an occasional bug, but you're out in the mountains so that should be expected. The property is beautiful and we loved sitting on the deck with coffee.

Thank you for your 5 star review. Not sure why the platform listed the property as having a hot tub, I believe this is a recurring glitch in their system. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

Highly recommended!

This was our first stay in Colorado and our goal was to find a place with a little wilderness mixed in. This was perfect. The house is great and very comfortable and the hosts are amazing! You will lose cell service 20 minutes or so from the house and the Internet can be slow on a cloudy night, but it was great not having work be able to get a hold of me!. It’s a beautiful property in a bit of a valley where you feel very secluded. I would recommend checking it out to anyone.

This awesome property is a major reason our recent vacation to Colorado was fantastic. It's hard to capture in words just how enjoyable eating breakfast on the deck each morning was...the view, the sound of the water flowing in the creek and the rustling of the leaves on the quaking aspen from the gentle breeze, the wildlife...If you want to get away from it all, this is your place. However, you are not without the major conveniences. The home is very well equipped...kitchen, games, DVDs, pillows, 3 bathrooms, fans, etc. We thought the Wi-Fi was actually pretty good. We streamed 1 movie there and had no glitches. The upper floor primary suite was sweet...large, tons of light, and private. Our teenage boys spent hours fishing in the stream and exploring in BLM lands behind the property. Truly a gem!

BEAUTIFUL PLACE, BUT IT KINDA BUGGED US.

IT IS A VERY NICE PROPERTY. WELL STOCKED AND FURNISHED WITH THE NECESSARY LIVING ITEMS. THE 2ND AND 3RD FLOORS WERE WONDERFUL. THE DECK HAD A GREAT VIEW. THE SURROUNDINGS WERE VERY RELAXING AND PLEASANT. THE PICTURE IS A LITTLE DECEPTIVE BECAUSE THE PROPERTY IS ONLY 5 ACRES, AND UNLESS YOU READ THE INFORMATION CAREFULLY, YOU MIGHT THINK YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE WHOLE VALLEY. YOU DON'T. THE NEIGHBORS PRIVATE PROPERTY FENCES LIMIT YOU. THE STREAM IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT NOT WHAT I WOULD CLASSIFY AS A TROUT STREAM FOR FISHING OTHER THAN FOR CHILDREN. THE PROBLEM WE HAD WAS WITH THE FIRST FLOOR WHICH IS SUBTERRANEAN IN THE BACK HALF. IN THE DESCRIPTION IT SAID THERE MAY BE AN OCCASIONAL BUG. THAT MAY BE TRUE IN GENERAL, BUT DURING OUR STAY THE FIRST LEVEL HAD PLENTY OF BUGS THAT MY SON AND I BATTLED UNTIL IT BECAME UNPLEASANT. THE PROBLEM HAD TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT MANY OF THE SCREENS HAD HOLES AND DID NOT FIT TIGHTLY, THE SAME COULD BE SAID FOR THE SEAL AROUND THE FIRST-FLOOR DOORS. WE CONTACTED THE OWNERS AND AFTER A LENGTHY TEXTING DISCUSSION WE WERE OFFERED TO LEAVE A DAY EARLY AND GET REFUNDED FOR THAT TIME. IT WAS NICE OF THE OWNERS, BUT IT WAS A HASSLE HAVING TO PACK EVERYTHING AND MOVE TO ANOTHER LOCATION. I WOULD RATE THE PLACE OVERALL, ON OUR EXPERIENCE, A 4. IT SEEMS OTHER REVIEWERS HAD BETTER LUCK. MAYBE WE JUST HAD A UNIQUE PROBLEM. HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE BUGS WE WOULD HAVE RATED IT AS A 5.

We are so glad you found Serenity House beautiful and well stocked! We do state at the top of the listing description that the property is 5 acres. It is bordered on the east by 1000s of acres of rugged public land. We are sorry that the bugs were problematic for you. We were surprised to hear there were so many bugs as that has not been our or other guests’ experience. However, we do take every guest suggestion as an opportunity to improve and replaced the door sweep on the storm door after your check out and adjusted the existing screens. We are glad you enjoyed the many upgrades we have already done and hope you made fond memories with your son! Thank you for choosing our cabin. Our family is grateful. Take care!

AMAZING

This place will always have a special place in my heart. They were kind enough to let us use this property to host our wedding. The beds were absolutely amazing, the kitchen had everything we could have ever needed and they were quick to respond. We will definitely be back!

Amazing stay at Serenity House

The Serenity House is aptly named! It was beautiful, clean, and wonderfully stocked. I would recommend a stay here for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. The hosts were gracious, attentive, and caring. Good for a friends’ trip or a family! We definitely hope to stay here again. Thanks, Brent & Jenn.

Winter wonderland!

What a cozy home! We had one great day of weather, then the snow hit. I thought it was going to ruin the vacation, but we all ended up really enjoying the snow. It turned the property into a wonderland! Stunning views as you commute to and from the cabin! The kitchen is fully equipped for your stay, extra blankets, shampoo/conditioner/body wash all in the shower in a convenient pump station. Genius! The selections of games and books are great as are the puzzles! Jenn communicated extremely well whenever there was a question. Thank you for providing your space for us to make memories in! You won’t regret the stay!

Country mountain weekend

We loved staying at this house for the weekend. The decor is mid century modern meets southwest. The kitchen had all of the tools we needed. The owners were responsive to our questions. My husband loves music and enjoyed the record player. The kids were excited about the movie selection. I enjoyed the fast flowing creek right behind the property. Couldn’t see any neighbors once there. Got groceries at WalMart near Woodland Park before we got there. Love the Florissant area!
