We truly enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of space for me, my husband, our child and dog. The location is perfect, only about 20-30 minutes from any of the towns nearby. We would love to stay again!
Comfortable and roomy cabin, everything we needed for a nice 3 night getaway in northern Georgia's mountains. Plenty of hikes and waterfalls to explore close by the house even in the “winter” season. Karen was an attentive host!
This is our third stay at this home and we always have an amazing time. Karen, the host, is so helpful and the home is stocked with everything we need. Location is an easy drive for day trips to Helen, Cherokee, Murphy and more! I love enjoying coffee in the morning listening to the river and the birds!listening to the river
We have stayed here previously and always enjoy this property. Due to weather the fishing was not as good this time but I did manage to land and release 4 trout (one larger). This is a beautiful quiet neighborhood (some house not occupied this time of year). A great value and close to home for us (Atlanta)
We had 5 adults and a small child all meet up for the Thanksgiving week. This property is in a neighborhood but the properties are spacious so you still felt somewhat secluded with the comfort of knowing other people are close by and all the neighbors we met were SO friendly! We were able to take in the nearby hikes/sights as well as other nearby towns and still make it back for a fire and relaxing on the front or back porch.
We spent most of our time on the porch listening to the river. Great neighborhood. Good location and easy to get to. Looks just like pictures. No extra amenities…bring laundry soap, coffee, creamers, bar of soap, etc.
The cabin was easy to find and absolutely as described. Communication with the owner was easy and friendly. The neighborhood is very quiet and great for walking the dog. The location was half way between Helen and Hiawassee. We would definitely stay again!
This home sits in a lovely community halfway between Hiawasee and Helen, 15 minutes or less to food, attractions, shopping, etc. The river is well stocked and we enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching the fish in the early morning hours. The driveway was large and level, perfect for motorcycle parking. From this location, we were able to enjoy all of the scenic parkways in the Chattahoochee-Oconee, Cherokee, and Nantahala National Forests.
The home is an older log-cabin style, with a rustic charm. They included plenty of linens, pillows, and cleaning items for our stay. No rationing soap or trash bags like some places! Furniture and beds were comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, all appliances worked, and checkout instructions were simple and clearly communicated. The split bedroom layout allowed two couples to have privacy and separate bathrooms while staying together.
Overall, this cabin was perfect for a weekend trip for four adults seeking some mountain air.
