Chalet Oscar is a contemporary chalet set up to ensure a fantastic holiday in the mountains. The property is just 5 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants of Chamonix and the world famous Aiguille du Midi lift station.

The Master bedroom is a fabulous loft space covering the whole upper floor with 360 degree view of the Chamonix Valley's famous summits.

The chalet is set over 3 floors with the open plan main living space on the ground floor. On one side there is a sitting area with 2 Natuzzi sofa chairs and additional sofa and armchair and on the opposite side is a dining table easily seating 10. The living room features a double height ceiling at one side with climbing sculpture by a Thai artist. Large sliding windows provide access to the balcony and terrace with outdoor furniture. This is a great space for enjoying your meals alfresco during the summer months.

The open plan kitchen is separated from the living space by a breakfast bar built from local granite reclaimed from the original house before renovation. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to self-cater, including fondue set and raclette to enjoy regional specialities. There is a full-size oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer (note; the freezer is small).

For relaxation after an active day on the mountain you can soothe any aching muscles in the sauna. The chalet is also equipped with a 32inch TV to allow you to switch off in front of a film.

For your convenience, on the lower ground floor, the chalet also features a utility room with washing machine, a separate Boot Room with ski and boot storage, and warm air boot dryer.

Check-in: you will be able to check-in anytime after 1600 on your day of arrival, the keys will be in a lock box and full written instructions for the Chalet provided.

Fantastic Chalet

The property is exactly as advertised. Great location. Easy to get to by car and great parking. Five minutes easy walk to Chamonix center. The property is perfect for one large family or three couples, as each bedroom has an en suite bathroom. We loved our stay. Will definitely rent again when in Chamonix.

Fantastic chalet

Our family had a great time in this very nice chalet. Perfect for the big family. The description is accurate to what we got. The only thing that was a little bit disturbing was the traffic sound when we had the windows open.

Absolutely beautiful home with lovely private deck that has a view of the top of the Aguille du Midi! The house is state of the art and well appointed. My husband and I stayed on the top floor in the most comfortable bed and wonderful skylights. It's close to downtown, but not too close. You could hear a little traffic on the highway, but that was easily tuned out. I just wish we had stayed longer.

Quintessential Chamonix Chalet

Communication and check in was excellent. Two very good parking spots were fully appreciated. Kitchen was well stocked (the only thing - couldn’t find a spatula for the eggs or a dish towel). WiFi had a good strong signal and good speed. The multi-port usb charging tower in the kitchen was a nice thoughtful addition. The sauna was really nice, though under-seat lighting needs a bulb. Washer access was very convenient. The upstairs bedroom is very comfy, but the low, back beam is a head-banging hazard getting into/out of bed. We hung a towel over the spot to remind us and no more bumps! But because there weren’t any extra towels available, we had to keep taking it down and would sometimes forget to put it back. All of that left us with a chuckle and we still smile about it! Great place. We would not hesitate to return.

Fabulous

It was a lovely property in a beautiful location. Grant was easy to communicate with (had a slight problem because of road construction and he responded immediately)! If I had any suggestions, it would be to have more towels…one towel per person is tough…no face cloths or hand towels. We made due because there were only 4 of us with 3 bedrooms. I would definitely recommend!
