I live primarily in Loveland Co but I work in Trinidad so often that I needed a residence. Trinidad is a very charming small town with loads of potential. It’s a historical town with Victorian style buildings and homes, and some brick roads built back when Trinidad was a booming coal mining town. It’s known as one of the stops along the Santa Fe Trail and as the home of trappers, traders and early ranchers back in the 1800s. Today there’s a tight knit community and it’s enjoyable to talk to the friendly business owners in the area. It’s the type of place where you could become a regular and get to know the locals if you lived there. Particularly I enjoy the food served. The town's population is around 8000-9000, and Trinidad is surrounded by beautiful mountains and wildlife. More recently Trinidad is experiencing a resurgence because of the marijuana industry which is bringing lots of new business to the town. Trinidad is 13 miles from the New Mexico border, so when Colorado legalized marijuana Trinidad had a flood of tourism.
Why they chose this property
This property is beautifully maintained and very spacious, equipped with 3 large bedrooms and fenced in backyard space. I needed a home in Trinidad, and this home offered everything I wanted and more.
What makes this property unique
Many homes in Trinidad are older, and this wonderful home is 100 years old as of 2022. I fell in love with this house because of how beautiful and well taken care of the home is. Work has been put into the home to create an updated effortless look paired with beautiful original wood flooring, and columns and built-ins handmade by craftsmen. The home is down a block from a lush green park, and you can see Fisherman's Peak through the windows. The neighborhood is extremely interesting with colorful varied historic homes adjusting to the times. The home is fully equipped with everything someone would need to live in comfort.
