I stayed here a few days until I could move into my apartment. It was perfect for me, my daughter and 2 chihuahuas. The airplanes were no big deal. I'd highly recommend this place.
Accommodations were okay, except for the two flights of stairs to the room. The neighborhood was sketchy, and several blocks to walk to anything interesting. Also the building is located squarely under the San Diego airport flight path. The worst part was that there were dogs in rooms below ours, and apparently these mutts were left alone. There was a lot of noisy barking and racing around. This disturbance was reported to management, but the noise continued for another night. I wish we had stayed in a regular hotel.
It was very clean, however, the floral scent from the cleaning product (we're guessing) was very strong when we first arrived. It got better by leaving the window open for a little while. It was also very comfortable for me, my husband, sister, and toddler to all be there. The location was great with it being next to balboa park.

I was in town to run the Rock N Roll Marathon, I picked this place because of the location. It was a quick 10 minute walk to the starting line which was fantastic. The accommodations were clean, the communication from the management was very good. There was a very good view from the giant windows. The AC worked great too. I have two small complaints. There were a lot of stairs, we weren't told about them until the morning of check in. I had two older family members with me, and I could barely walk after running 26 miles, so the stairs ended up being slightly inconvenient. Also, this was listed as a one bedroom but it was really a studio. There was no door to the room. Fortunately ear plugs were provided. All in all it was a great stay.
It’s very convenient especially if you like to do a daily walk as it’s located right next to the balboa park. The park path entrance was just across the street. Good open view from the window, you can see the sunset too. I could hear people in the other rooms but it didn’t bother me that much. I didn’t mind the aeroplane noise at all. Or the long stairs - it just gave me a mini workout each time. The garage parking became a bit disorganised but everyone there was nice and helpful, I absolutely enjoyed my stay there comfortably
Overall this is a great unit to stay. I took off one star because of the following:
1) the walls were extremely thin and you can hear everything from all the other units
2) my unit was on the top floor, there are no elevators and had to walk 4 flights off stairs every time.
But other than this it's a great unit. Everything was clean and easy to get to.
Unit was very clean as show on pictures, communication with manager was fine they accommodated us in third floor when i reserved i did not know that there is not elevator and there are a lot of stairs, either i did not know our location in building if i should know probably i did not rent it the place.
Everyday i was very tired when reach unit as I am not a young person.
That is something to be disclosed in advertisement that building does not have elevator.
Also, when i rented information said in unit can sleep 4 people .
We were 2 my husband and me but my son apartment was not ready the first day we arrived than i have to pay extra $ 15 dollar for him to stay with us
area is fine couple homeless around Balboa Park
For older people like me i do not recommended to much stairs beside that overall i can say was fine we did not stay there much only for sleep.
