Welcome To the Carlisle Castle - one of the most amazing homes in all of PA. Set on one acre in the Historic Downtown of Carlisle you can relax in the private pool( not heated open from Mid May to October 22nd for 2022 ) and amazing grounds all day then walk to all of towns amenities at night .
This property was built in 1939 and has a great history and is commonly known as the Gingerbread Man house in homage to the owner that meticulously renovated it. With 3 large bedrooms , 2 living rooms , 2.5 baths, exclusive Cozy earth bedding and extensive grounds including the pool , fountains, Patios and two ponds This will be a vacation spot to remember. Sorry but we cannot accept any pets or children under 7 due to insurance regulations. No events or non registered guests please . This camera does have exterior cameras at entrances and backyard ( not close up to pool to invade guest privacy )

This place is beautiful!

It was wonderful!!! We went to the car show in the morning and spent the afternoon in the pool. The property is amazing, My family and I loved it! I'd recommend this to anyone traveling to carlisle. Hope to be back next year!

Amazing castle

Our family had the best time at the Carlisle Castle! This is our second time staying at the house. The weather was so perfect, we spent our time swimming, diving, and sliding in the pool. The house is quirky but that’s what makes it so charming. Can’t wait to book our next stay!

Awesome property!

We had an excellent stay! House is very clean and has lots of personality. Extremely well stocked kitchen and pantry! Beds are comfortable and linens were super soft. Pool was large and well tended. The landscaping was gorgeous and we enjoyed watching the birds and chipmunks. Will return!

Second time we have stayed at this house. My husband and I and our daughter and twelve year old granddaughter. Love the beautiful grounds and house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Great communication with the host.

Absolutely lovely!

This property is so lovely. The yard is straight-up magical. We enjoyed the pool, the ponds, the gardens, and the excellent seating areas spread throughout. The inside is comfortable, well-labeled, has all the amenities a visitor could want or need and then some. Everything is clean and so stylish. The owners were in town, so they actually let us in and showed us around. They have created a fantastic place. You will not be disappointed. I have no areas to comment on for improvement. Our stay was great, and we will most certainly return. Thank you, Megan and Jon, for the fantastic VRBO experience.

Perfect in every way!

It truly was a resort level stay and to have sole possession of this property was a treat for our unique group.. The grounds were a feast for our eyes. There was a lot of attention to detail in landscaping with over a dozen diffrent bird houses. The home was clean, well stocked with great quality items with anything you can think of. We played corn hole,, basketball in the pool,, sunbathed and sat and chilled out around the fire pit and much more.. Located across the street from super Walmart, Chic FIL LA, Liquor store, Subway and Chipotle. Plus others we did not go to. You don't want to miss this gem!!

Megan was very responsive to all my questions. House is fabulous, comfortable and quite inviting and interesting. The backyard is amazing and I would like to have stayed when the weather was warmer.

Great gardens!

This home was a beautiful stay while in town visiting family. The decor is fun, the kitchen stocked with all the tools to cook, even some Miss Pac-Man to play. The beds all comfortable. The outdoor area is amazing! We were off season for the pool but looks perfect. Tons of seating in different spots. We grilled and used the solo stove for a bon fire. Our only challenge was for my 65 year old dad with a bad knee. The bathrooms are all upstairs or in the basement level. So it was difficult on him for having to get upstairs to use the facilities. Simply something to consider if an obstacle. We hope to be back! Thank you!

Amazing house

Our family had an amazing time at the Gingerbread man house! The kids were in the pool all day - there were so many toys and amenities that really made the trip so easy. The house was the perfect size for our family of four - there was plenty of room for everyone to chill out and relax. The kids loved playing hide and seek throughout the house and yard. The house was well stocked and extremely clean. They even left muffins for our arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our summer. We would definitely come back next summer.

PERFECT!

Carlisle Castle was the perfect fit for what we all were looking for! A relaxing week just chilling by a pool with family & friends. House was spotless & equipped with everything we needed! The grounds are beautifully manicured & the pool is fantastic! We arrived slightly earlier then expected & were just going to grab a bite but Megan informed me that the residence was ready & we could check in. That was a nice surprise & appreciated ☺️ The family had a great time & we already discussed our next visit!

A Hidden Gem in Carlisle

Rented this house for the weekend of my sons graduation from Dickinson. It couldn’t have been more perfect and if anything the description and pictures included “understate” the awesomeness of this place. We stayed with our family of 5 + we had a few friends over one afternoon to enjoy the pool and back yard. The location, was perfect, the house was clean and big enough for us (3 bedrooms upstairs so 2 of my kids shared a room but there was a basement that could have been used as an extra bedroom) and the backyard was like a mini version of Longwood Gardens. Host was also super gracious (left us some muffins) and check in was easy.
