What a perfect four days at a cabin! It was an ideal cabin for my husband, and and two labradors when we could get them out of the lake. Very cozy, we loved the wood-burning stove. The kitchen was very well equipped and everything just seemed so shiny and new.The host was amazing with correspondence.Thank you for a wonderful stay

Enjoyed this beautiful property!! Quiet and peaceful location, but still close to town. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and exploring the area. Anne is a great host, cabin was amazing and had everything we needed. Highly recommended!!

I looked at lots of pet-friendly places before I stumbled upon this wonderful spot! The location is so peaceful, it’s a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I’m definitely planning to book it again when I’m back in Maine, especially since my fur-baby is welcome!

Amazing place from a great host! Anne was super communicative in the leadup to our stay and answered all our questions, including giving suggestions for hiking trails in the area and instructions for operating the wood stove. The cabin was absolutely perfect, the beds were comfy, the wood stove was so cozy for evenings inside and the chairs on the dock were great for quiet mornings outside, and the birds at the feeders didn't even mind when we sat on the porch with them. Lots of things are provided by the hosts, including all the firewood you could possibly need and plenty of food for the birds. We also had a great time paddling around the lake in the canoe; the foliage is gorgeous and there are some cool rock formations and submerged trees and sunken docks to see around the edges of the lake. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Had a nice relaxing time with our kids and dogs! The stars at night were incredible and watching the sunset from the dock was beautiful! Only 11 minutes from machias where we got groceries, food, and went to small shops. Such a peaceful place to stay.

This was my first VRBO experience. Wonderful little cabin, just what you imagine staying in on a lake in Maine. Beautiful setting and a wonderful little place to spend some down time. This cabin ahas all the modern comfort you will need to enjoy your time at the lake. Our granddaughters loved it as well as our 2 labs. Anne was exceptional at quickly answering all our questions. The improvements that were made I believe in 2023, they definitely spared no expense they were done right and looks to have taken thought as to the comfort as well as the general beauty of it and keeping with nature and not destroying any of it, right down to the beautiful large boulders made into steps. We appreciated all that went into the remodel, and how well the cabin was stocked. You won’t be disappointed if you choose this little Beauty on the lake.

This is a wonderful place to say whether in Summer or Winter. The accommodations are very comfortable and quiet. As we stayed in Winter the lake was frozen over and we felt like the only people in the world.

We loved the cabin, very clean and cozy, wood burning stove was great, it's location the fire pit and the canoe, the neighborhood was great for walking. Peaceful Escape

Not only is the cabin gorgeous but the location and the property could not be better for a quiet escape in the woods. The pups loved swimming in the lake. The star viewing is also unmatched. The whole experience is perfect.
