The accommodation is quaint & interesting. Access to each room is through the other and the doorways are narrow. Everything i needed was supplied including plenty of information on Maine & the local area. The electricity & heating systems required some details before working correctly. Good, quiet & private location with Maes cafe and bakery 3 mins walk.

Surprisingly spacious

Great little appartment outside of town, maybe a 2 minute drive from the main streets. Surprisingly large. Only downside is you can hear the street noise pretty early in the morning. Minor inconvenience. Charming and quaint. Very cozy. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

I cannot recommend this Master Suite

No curtains on windows, no bedspread or comforter on bed. ‘Fine linens’ were mismatched and torn (fitted ) cotton sheets. Damaged blinds on bathroom and sitting room windows. No freezer in small refrigerator. No trash bin in which to place bag of trash (the owner said we could walk the trash down to the Courthouse and place it in the Courthouse dumpster). The owner was greatly concerned with our control of the heat. The rooms were 55 degrees when we arrived. He stressed (to the point of making us uncomfortable)that it is very expensive to heat the house/master suite and instructed us to cut the heat back as soon as possible.

A few points: If you require curtains, a freezer and dumpster on the property, how about booking a place that lists those among amenities?.. That one should be easy enough to figure out... Stressing the idea of not wasting the heat makes you uncomfortable?.. Hmmm. Also a veracity problem at no glance here ("no trash bin".. Really?). Besides, it's a bit rich of you to demand big fridges, comforters and fine linens while barely paying economy motel rates. Enough said.

This small but quaint apartment was very clean and centrally located. Located in the owners home, it was close to downtown and the activity in town. Walking distance to the business areas was close and easy. While sufficient, the kitchen did not have a kitchen sink- but rather a stainless-steel bowl and scrubby. There really is no way to do any cooking, so the small microwave was available to heat up leftovers. The fridge was a "dorm size" fridge. The front room had a lovely antique rocking chair, but it was not a comfortable chair to relax in after a long, long drive. Suggestions were left for the owner to perhaps consider a different piece of furniture that was more comfortable. This stay was good for one person traveling through to another destination but might be difficult for someone wanting to stay more long term.
