About this property
Beautiful Suissevale Home 163 Steps from Lake Winnipesaukee
COMPLETELY RENOVATED KITCHEN!!! Renovated lake community home a short walk from the private beach. 163 steps to be exact. Leave the car behind and stroll down for swimming, sunbathing, fishing or boating. New furniture throughout including a roomy living room arrangement with gas fireplace and TV with Netflix, Prime, Max and Hulu. High speed WIFI. Central Air Conditioning makes it cool even during a heatwave. Two floor design puts the kids down stairs and the parents above. Large front porch for catching sun or reading the morning paper. Screened back porch for dinner and late evening drinks. Living room is big enough for all to gather. Kitchen is full of utensils for cooking or grilling outside. Clothes washer and dryer. Stove, microwave and dishwasher. All the amenities a family or 2 would need for a weeks getaway.
Suissevale Beach Community: Suissevale is a quiet subdivision in Moultonborough. Houses are spaced apart and very private. My cottage in particular is surrounded by trees in all directions. For residents and guests, there are many things to do. A full private beach just steps away. Two boat launches. Two playgrounds: One on the beach, the other at the clubhouse. Two tennis courts. Barbeque and picnic tables behind the beach. And so much to do in the surrounding area.
Cottage History: I bought the cottage about four years ago. I was hoping to find a family reunion point near all the family. The Lake seemed like a natural spot. My Aunt Sandy has been an owner in Suissevale for more than 15 years and loves it. She can also help with visitors like you. Most of the rest of the family live up in Berlin or down in Manchester, New Hampshire. Moultonborough was perfect. We looked at a lot of houses. It came down to two…this one or a new one a mile off the Lake. I wanted the new one, but 4 important women (my 2 aunts, my mother and my grandmother) told me close to the lake was better. It was big enough for everyone. It was well maintained. It was very close to the Lake. So I bought it. I’ve changed all the furniture. High-quality Ethan Allen furniture all around. We painted the entire place inside and out. There are all new decorations everywhere. It feels like a new home. But it keeps that cottage feel. I’m very proud of it and think the ladies made the right choice. I took it off the market for 3 years because I was living there full time. We’ve gone back to the city, so the house is ready to rent!
Northern Lake Winnipesaukee:. it's got lots of restaurant reviews and ideas on what to do. Fishing licenses, horseback riding and blue berry picking are all very near. Please note: Linens are not included, please bring your own sheets and towels or avail of our linen service for a fee.

We had a Great time the owner Brian was wonderful with reaching out to us.. the place was immaculate and plenty of kitchen utensils dishes etc… even an air fryer we loved it. The lake and beach access was perfect the weather could have cooperated better but that’s New England
As advertised. Excellent location (close to beach). Clean, organized and well stocked with all required amenities. Owners were very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
Wonderful location! Super comfy place. The only drawback was after we booked the host informed us that there was a charge for bedding, otherwise you have to bring your own. Would suggest including this in the listing before someone books. The owner did make this right and waive the fee.
We had a great time! The house was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked! It was a short walk to the beach! My only complaint was we were not told there were no beach accessories - there were no beach chairs or umbrella's. I wish I had known this upfront!! All in all good house for what we wanted.
We had a wonderful summer vacation week staying here! The accommodations met all the needs for 2 adults & 2 teenagers (laundry, AC, full kitchen). The screened porch and fire pit were lovely. The house is so clean, and had everything we needed to make our week comfortable. It was fantastic being only steps to a clean, sandy beach! Our boys loved fishing and swimming daily and the adults appreciated the availability of shade & restrooms. The location was perfect as there were lots of restaurants within a 15 min drive as well as reasonable proximity to fun activities for the kids: mini-golf, boat rentals, mountain coaster @ Gunstock, science center at Squam Lake, Castle in the Clouds, and of course, Fun Spot for skee-ball and every arcade game imaginable. We look forward to renting here again in the future!
The house was very convenient with easy access to the beach. The central A/C was nice for the humid days and the screened in porch was great for dinners. We took advantage of the fire pit, with owls visiting often during our stay. The location is easy access to Wolfboro where there are some restaurants and a great bike path!
We had a wonderful time there. We had breakfast on the screened in back porch every morning. The only problem might be the kitchen, dining area, living room and master bedroom are all on the second floor. The other bedrooms are on the first. It has central AC for some of the high humidity and heat days we had. Wouldn't mind staying there again and would recommend it.
We loved Brian’s house. It was spotless and had everything we needed. Plenty of room for our family of 5. We especially loved the screened in porch to sit at night. The house is in a great location, just a very short walk to the beach. The beach itself was wonderful also- 2 swimming docks to swim out to, clean water and picnic tables to eat lunch on. Everyone in Suissevale was super friendly as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing family vacation!
We had a great time as usual in Suissevale! This rental was one of our favorite. Great use of all the space. House was nicely furnished and had all the kitchen equipment needed as we cook in every night! Had a place for the kids to eat and a place for the adults to eat. Very short walk to the water! All in all a great stay!
Easy communicating with Brian and we felt at home during our stay. Location was perfect, short walk to the beach and fishing. We have a 19 month old, the location made such a difference enjoying the beach with the ability of walking to/from within minutes. Bringing own sheets, towels etc worked out better than if they were supplied. Overall, great place to stay and enjoy a family vacation.
Beautiful place for a summer vacation, right next to the lake, a lot of parking space and plenty of space to move around the house

Great Lake Community Vacation
Great property, owner provides many amenities to guests. Easy walk to beach which was extremely convenient, especially with two young kids. Community is nice and very quiet. Location makes it easy for day trips to other locations in the lakes/mountain region. Will definitely consider for future stays.

Perfect summer lake getaway house
We stayed at Mark's lake house in August. It was really very comfortable and cozy, with lots of amenities. The couches and chairs were great for lounging. Our favorite part was probably the screen porch--we really enjoyed being able to gather at the round table for meals, without being bothered by mosquitos. We even heard loons calling one evening.
Everything was spelled out in the instructions, and went smoothly. The beach is picture-perfect, the very ideal of relaxed New Hampshire lake. The water was sparkling and perfect for swimming.
Mark was a proactive and clear communicator, which made planning easy. I highly recommend this listing, and we'll try to book it again the next time we go to Lake Winnepesaukee.

Beautiful Home
Brian, thank you for renting your beautiful home to us. The house was in perfect order when we arrived and enjoyable in every way for our visit. We enjoyed swimming, morning coffee on the porch, and the outdoor fireplace in the evenings. I would highly recommend this rental It was a great place to stay and very close to the water which was awesome (of course we counted the steps - only 163 Steps to the water)! We hope to be back next year!! -- The Goscinak Family

Cozy, comfortable and great location
This cute cottage is well maintained and equipped with all the necessities needed for a comfortable, delightful stay. The cottage was roomy enough to fit our family of seven adults. The front deck and the back screened-in porch offered additional space for relaxing. We were in the area to celebrate a wedding, and the location of the cottage was perfect...close to the wedding venue, other family rentals and the beach. The beach is a short, peaceful walk away. It is beautifully maintained and full of friendly people. In fact, we were impressed by how friendly the whole neighborhood was. Also, just a short ride away is a market where you can buy almost any "forgotten" or necessary item. We really enjoyed our stay in Suissevale and felt very fortunate to have found Brian's cottage to stay in.

Great location and property
Great location, very easy to get to and from the beach. We had awesome weather, the house was perfect for our weekend away. Loved having the fire pit and grill available for us to use as well. And the wagons were great for lugging stuff to and from the beach :)

Great Home for Families
We enjoyed our stay at this house very much - perfect for families with young kids as two bedrooms are equipped with bunk beds - the top bunks are twins and the lower levels are full size. The screen porch was great for dinner in the evenings. The home is very well equipped with everything needed for a beach stay. We brought our boat and kayaks - the ramp is very convenient just down at the bottom of the street and there is sufficient parking at the house for several cars and the boat trailer. If you obtain a sticker from the property managers, you can leave the boat on the beach for the day which worked out very well for us. The beach is very clean and very well maintained. If you have toddlers, best to bring a child gate to protect them from the stairs - we forgot but used the coffee table to block them in. Castle in the Clouds is about a mile away and offers great trail rides if you enjoy horseback riding. We certainly would not hesitate to vacation at this property again.

About the host
Hosted by Brian Hachez
My name is Brian and I consult banks on automation software. I recently moved back to New Hampshire from Asia. My job moved me to the Philippines for 15 years. I was born in New Hampshire, so now I'm back closer to home. I'm no longer an absentee owner. We've spent the last two year upgrading every part of this house. New floors, kitchen remodel, expanded yard, fireplace and much more. I know live 45 minutes away from this house, so I can support any issues you might have personally.
Why they chose this property
I chose Suissevale because my Aunt Sandy has a house in the same community and loves it. It's also very close to the town where my mother, brother and grandparents live. This house was chosen specifically for it's location. Just steps away from the beach. It was also well maintained by all previous owners [which my aunt knew personally]. After a full renovation, it is a real gem on the lake. Walk to the beach convenience at an affordable price.
What makes this property unique
First, it's the walk to the lake. This is very rare for a rental house on Winnipesaukee in this price range. Most houses on the lake are way more expensive to rent. Others that look close to the water have access blocked by private property. This place is steps away from the famous Suissevale beach. Finally, the house itself was fully renovated 2 years ago with all Ethan Allen furniture. Not cheap second-hand stuff here. Just high quality. Completely remodeled kitchen with quartz counter tops and lots of storage. Brand new floors throughout the house.
