We are very sorry about your experience, but we would also like to clarify some details regarding your report. The “safety concern” in question was described as an unused, sealed syringe of the type used by diabetics, allegedly found under a bed, between the mattress and the box spring. While it is certainly possible that a previous guest placed it there, this is not an area routinely inspected by housekeeping, and understandably it may have been missed. As soon as the matter was reported, our team responded immediately, thoroughly inspected the home (finding no further evidence of syringes or safety concerns), and performed an additional full cleaning. You then continued and completed your stay. We also issued a refund of one night, which you agreed was fair compensation at the time. Unfortunately, several weeks later you initiated a chargeback for your entire stay. Furthermore, when we went in after your stay, we found dog feces all over the property - a disgusting and inappropriate behavior that actually constitutes a true safety issue. Given the circumstances, this appears inconsistent with the resolution we had reached and suggests an attempt to secure a full stay at no cost. For this reason, we would not be comfortable welcoming you back to any of our homes in the future.
