Amazing location!

Nestled on a quiet road, with an amazing view of the Presidential Range yet so close to everything just being a short drive. We loved sitting on the deck, enjoying the views and just listening to the wildlife without the noise pollution of cars going up and down the road.

Amazing Mt. Washington view!

Clean, warm and everything you need for a ski weekend at Bretton Woods. Four adults and five kids enjoyed a comfortable MLK weekend. The best part was waking up to the view.

Great view!

Incredible view of the mountains! The house was pretty basic in terms of kitchen materials and one of the bedrooms on the lower level flooded because of melting snow outside but it didn’t bother us! Skiing and hiking close by and we had a nice relaxing weekend.

Great winter getaway!

My friends and I had a great experience at your home. The views were amazing and it was in close proximity to ski areas. The home is very spacious for all of us with plenty of sleeping space and a large sitting area on both the upper and lower floors that offered great views both day and night with the large windows. Bob was very helpful and prompt in his responses with our questions, great experience and great winter getaway! I highly recommend!

The perfect family get-away spot

We had the most wonderful 3 generation family weekend here to celebrate my 70th birthday. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious, well-equipped with an absolutely fabulous view. I could have sat all day in the living room and looked out at the mountain view with its changing mists, but there were also just too many other fun-filled activities to do - build a snowman, hike up a pretty trail to NH's highest waterfall, eat out at a local restaurant where all our meals were spot-on delicious (Rosa Flamingos), visit Mt Washington Hotel. There are many great activities to do nearby, and then it was always nice to come back to this comfortable, welcoming home.

Average Property/Stay

CONS: House has a LOT of rules and makes you feel like you are walking on ice throughout your stay Had to do our own snow shoveling of walkway and driveway, 2-3 inches of snow. Extremely steep hill to house with no steps or walkway, not safe for walking and carrying luggage Driveway is steep and hard to navigate No dishwasher PROS Great view of Mts Good Location Nice setup for entertaining

Terrific host, terrific location

Thanks to Bob and his responsiveness and hospitality, what could have been a disastrous trip for us was smoothed out considerably. We had two mishaps toward the latter half of our trip that made things very difficult - one accident related to property and another to keys. Bob was a true gentleman in managing through these with me. The property location is terrific with a balcony deck view of Mt Washington and the Presidential range in the distance, and can't be beat in this price range. If you are looking for a one of a kind mountain view location and host who is second to none, no matter the issue (Bob was outside the country at the time), this is your vacation place.

Home away from home

First off, Bob was an exceptional host from afar. We had some minor issues when we got there and sent Bob a message. He worked with us to make sure the issue was resolved and that we were happy, and never once left us hanging. The view was BEAUTIFUL. We spent mornings and evenings on the deck, playing cards, relaxing and enjoying the mountain air. The location was great and the house was clean. We are hoping to make this a tradition as it was the perfect place for our kiddos and our family to unwind but still feel as though we were at home, and not in a hotel. Thank you, Bob!

Beautiful and clean. Worked for the family

Great location. Great views. Very clean. Would book again. We stayed August 2018. Plenty of room too. It’s a pretty open concept. We had our 1 and 3 year old so the only drawback was the property is very steep and hilly so it’s not conducive to kids running around and playing games but the deck is gigantic so there is a place for them to run around a little. Plus we were out and about most of the time. The GPS location seems to be a little off so use Bobs directions to save yourself 15 mins. Bob also responds super fast to any messages.

AMAZING!!!!

We stayed here with our 2 teenage boys and loved it. The home is immaculate, easy to find and located a mile from Main Street. The view from the kitchen, family and deck is spectacular. The mountains are right there just like in their photos. The home is well equipped, everything works. 4 bedrooms and 6 beds including bunk beds. They have wifi, etc. Just a few miles away is amazing hiking including the Flume, The Basin, Cannon MTN Tram, biking and The Cog Mt Washington. All are incredible and should be visited. We Hiked by day and enjoyed a glass of wine on the porch in the evening. We called the owner once with a question and he responded Immediately. We had a great week and plan on returning next year. It's tough to get teens to put down their phones and unplug but we did here for a week. The views from this porch are divine and not to be missed. Enjoy!

GREAT HOUSE WITH A SPECTACULAR VIEW, HOWEVER THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE (HOST) BOB WAS ANNOYING!!!

The property, the location, the view and everything else that has to do with the house itself and its location is absolutely amazing, you won't be disappointed at all, however host Bob (the owner of the property) who lives and works overseas now was very communicative and helpful and even answered his cell phone a few times and we had a great conversation regarding our upcoming trip to New Hampshire. When arrived at the property (there were a three groups of people all in their separate automobile), one of our friends did not know that certain area of the property next to the house can not be used as a parking spot to park his vehicle. Yes, we did read the handout and we have made our best effort (my wife and I) to explain all our invited guests the rules and procedures that everyone would have to follow while staying at the house, however people do have jobs and tough schedules and tend to get tired especially after driving for 6 hours after work (we came from Central New Jersey 400 mile drive). Upon late arrival of our friend, he parked his vehicle next to the house, immediately after Bob the owner have contacted us and said that this is unacceptable and the vehicle have to be parked at the designated parking area. After the conversation took place we have immediately followed the instructions and parked the vehicle where it was acceptable by the owner's request, however Bob would not stop there, it was not enough, he started to talk and explain to us announcing dollar amount of money that he recently spent on installing a new septic system under the ground and giving us way more details that we have certainly did not need to hear about. He was relentless and it took a good hour or more for him to stop, even though nothing got damaged on the property. I can go on forever telling you how uncomfortable he made our stay, but I will summarize it for you. If you want Bob to monitor you 24/7 on all the outside cameras (I am not so sure, maybe there are some inside hidden cameras also), relentlessly text you by telling to say the least inappropriate staff and way too much inappropriate jokes while you are stying at this property, and moreover after you already left the property (inappropriate jokes and harassment would continue), then try to nickel and dime you and request more money from you simply because there was something that he personally did not like, then go head receive this property and enjoy endless harassment and abuse.

Perfect spot for access to hiking in Franconia Notch and relaxing with a beautiful view. The house had more than enough space for 8 adults to hang out. The picture windows were glorious. The kitchen was also stocked with plenty of pots and pans. Bethlehem was a quaint town. We also enjoyed the fishing/swimming hole that was recommended.

Nice spot with easy access too all the North Country has to offer.

We stayed to visit old friends and golf at Maplewood. The view is lovely and the deck makes it easy to relax. Access to all the area offers is simple and within minutes to Echo Lake, Bretton woods, Littleton, and Polly’s Pancake Parlor. The kitchen has all you need if you like to cook and there are multiple grills for use as well.

Excellent except

Upon first entering the house we discovered hundreds of dead flies on the floors, just the main floor, not the basement, wish I had taken pictures. Coffeemaker needed a thorough cleaning before using. Obviously no one had stayed there for awhile or had entered the property. Except for those, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended to friends.

Perfect White Mountains home

We spent 3 nights with 3 of our kids and could not have been more pleased with the home and location. Our family has been coming to the White Mountains, especially the Bretton Woods / Bethlehem area, for 15 years both in summer and winter. We have stayed at the Omni Mt Washington, condo's in the resort, and numerous VRBO homes in the area. This was easily one of our favorites for many reasons, but especially the beautiful views, cleanliness of the home, and close proximity to everything. We love to ski and explore the region and this home has an ideal location. 15 minutes from Cannon and 15 minutes to Bretton Woods provided easy access to both ski areas. We were lucky to have clear weather and good snow, which made the view of Mt Washington and the range quite beautiful in the morning and evening. We felt like having a private ski chalet in a quiet spot but also appreciated being close to Bethlehem which has many good restaurants, including a brewery. We also love to hang out at the Omni Mt Washington Hotel and have dinner at Stickney's, which was easy after a day of skiing and changing at the house. The kitchen, dining and living areas were all clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were also very nice and quiet. In the summer I can imagine the house would be great for venturing up any mountain. I have no idea why anyone would have trouble walking from the driveway to the door. It was very easy to access the house without any issues.

Nice mountain view, but poor experience overall

Much of my frustration is my own fault. I should have read through the details of the 6 page instructions/rules book and the 6 page rental agreement contract when I booked...and if I had, I would have canceled that day and found another rental. We rent homes a couple times a year and are also short term rental owners ourselves. Based on those experiences, we were disappointed in the following at this rental: -Requirement to provide full name, address, and cell phone of every guest as well as license plates of cars. This was just one example of many where privacy is a concern. -Repeated messaging, invasive questions via VRBO, direct text, live phone calls, and even direct messaging via LinkedIn. For example 3 messages just to ascertain the breed of our rescued mix dog. And no, the vet didn't tell us, we don't know, so stop asking. -Only stocked with 1 well-worn bath towel per person. No face cloths, no hand towels, no spares. -The washer/dryer machine was not working. (Owner quickly offered to have it looked at) -The icy, steep hill from the driveway to the front door that we had to spread sand (which was provided) on ourselves. Even then you had to be really careful when coming down with luggage, kids, groceries, etc. We followed the footsteps in the snow from whomever was there that day (cleaning crew?) but kept getting messages from the owner about a specific ‘path’ which was perhaps somewhere under the snow and ice. Ideally, there would be steps on a hard-scaped walkway with a handrail for such a steep drop. -No cable/satellite TV for standard programs. The Internet was good, but not fast enough for streaming live sports. Positives: -Excellent wide view of the presidential range. -Open floor plan on the main floor is ideal for family time. -House was warm, and there was plenty of hot water. -Kitchen had the tools and pots/pans needed to cook family meals. -Walmart is close by, so we were able to buy a lot of amenities including more towels, toilet paper, paper towels. -Snow shovels are provided. -Dawn dish soap and drying towels are provided. (no dishwasher)

About the host

Host profile image
Love the outdoors - family of hikers, climbers, x-country and downhill skiers. Had a great time as well at Santas's Village, Clarks Trading Post (Bears) and many others including the water amusement park in the summer - "Whale's Tale"

Why they chose this property

Views are spectacular. 2" thick cedar home from Vancouver Canada compliment the rental with warmth and an open feeling concept.

Location is the center for all activities - whether skiing - snowboarding - zipping - climbing - cycling - swimming - hiking - view chasing - fly fishing - or going to Santa's Village - Story Land - Clark's Trading Post of live Bears, Whale's Tale swimming aquatic park - and many, many other fun places to go - including the Cog Railroad up Mt. Washington.

New kitchen appliances were put in 2020 - New refrigerator and oven/stove and over the stove microwave 2021
Flat screen 55” (2019) Smart TV, 31'”Flat (2014) and 42” 2014. We had a 54' but it fell to the floor. Couches upstairs are from 2022 and downstairs 2019. Most bedroom furnishings are newer as well, specifically the mattresses.

Three are newer double bed frames, a large Queen with a firm Serta mattress and a bunk bed. All mattresses are new like and tops in comfort.

A local landscaping company plows and sands the driveway if needed. We provide Home Depot buckets with a sand type mixture.

THIS PROPERTY - the perfect place to relax, enjoy the view and recharge the batteries. see hometogo dot com

What makes this property unique

Short walk to our quaint village of Bethlehem. (1.5 miles)

Relax and view the amazing Mt. Washington inside - take a leisurely stroll down the lane, go play golf in one of the many nearby golf courses, hike, ski downhill and cross country, snowmobile, swim in the Town seasonal pool, ice skate, roller blade, play basketball or tennis on very nice Town facilities and a whole lot more.

Private - quiet but not secluded location.

Ten minute drive to the main shopping areas of Littleton. North Conway Outlets are 45-50 minutes
