A Vacation to Remember!
Sunset Retreat is a luxury 2 story home in the much sought after resort-style, master-planned community of Las Sendas in NE Mesa, near the Tonto National Forest. It has a huge backyard with real grass (not turf) with mountain views, private hot tub & pool (heat optional), gas fire pit, outdoor dining for 10, two heat lamps for late night dinners and a gas grill. The large grassy yard is so big you won't need to go to the park! Kids and adults alike will enjoy games of whiffle ball or tossing the football in the lush green grass lawn in between dips in the pool. There are outdoor games galore: cornhole, bocce, ping pong and pool basketball. The home backs up to a "wash" where you may encounter desert wildlife like roadrunners.

The Home
The best feature of our home is the outdoor living. Your family will love the huge backyard! The pool is spectacular with waterfall and basketball hoop. The hot tub has amazingly strong jets that will sooth you after a day of play/activity. There are two living areas outside - one under the covered patio with comfy cushioned furniture, and one near the fire pit with Adirondack chairs. There is a very large grassy area (real grass, not turf!) for games: ping pong, cornhole, bocce or tossing the football, all with mountain views, lots of seating and great lighting over the patio for evening enjoyment. Cook on the large gas grill, enjoy outdoor meals with seating for 10. Outdoor speakers complete the outdoor entertainment scene with your favorite tunes. A backyard paradise with so much fun to be had for all ages!

The Indoor Space
The house is 2800 sq ft, 2 story with central A/C. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs, all with ceiling fans. The Master has a king bed and en suite bathroom. The Black n White bedroom has a queen bed. The Blue n Grey room has a queen bed + futon that can sleep 1 adult or 2 children. The Red room has a queen bed + a single sleeping mat that can be located in any bedroom/area of the house. There are three large screen TV's in the house: 62" in family room, large TV in game/billiards room and a large TV in the Blue bedroom. The open floor plan runs the whole length of the back of the house with windows that afford beautiful views of the backyard and pool. There is ample indoor or outdoor dining with seating for 10+ in either area. The game room has leather sofas, a billiard table and a TV so you can watch your favorite sports teams while you shoot some pool.

Neighborhood Activities Abound
The house is in a gated community with a 2 mile walking loop through the beautiful neighborhood with lots of open space with mountain & golf course views. It's a highly desirable master-planned community with 2 large parks, 2 waterfalls, playgrounds, splash pad, basketball court, tennis/pickleball, sand volley ball court, outdoor heated lap pool/hot tub with views of the Phx valley/city lights. There is a fitness center, lap pool and spa in the community for massages & facials. Las Sendas golf course is widely recognized as one of the premier courses in the Phoenix valley. It's an 18 hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Also highly acclaimed Red Mountain and Longbow golf courses are within 5 min drive and scores of others nearby! Mountain biking and hiking on the Hawes Trail system can be accessed right from the community (use the "ALLTRAILS" app to navigate)! Or if tennis is your game, we have racquets for your use. There's something for everyone!

An Area of Boundless Outdoor activities
You'll be minutes from the Salt River for kayaking & paddle boarding (sightings of the wild horses are very common), Saguaro Lake for boating, Usury Mountain for hiking, mountain biking, or off-roading. (Rent a paddleboard form "No Snow" nearby our house). Or rent a boat and go boating on Saguaro Lake 20 min away. Gorgeous canyon views - watch for the mountain goats at sunset. Or take a sunset music cruise on the Desert Belle. Canyon Lake is a bit father on a beautiful desert drive on Rt 88 and if you're really adventurous continue on to Apache Lake and then Tortilla Flats, a historic old stagecoach town, nestled deep in the Superstition Mountains..

Dining Delight
If you don't feel like cooking after a day of activities (or relaxation), the restaurant in the community (Las Sendas Patio & Grill) has outdoor or indoor dining with a gorgeous panoramic view of the Las Sendas golf course and Phoenix city lights.
There are also several restaurants, a wine bar, 3 breakfast joints and 2 coffee shops/cafes along with many other fast food type places within in a mile, so plenty of food options in walkable/bikeable distance or a very short drive! Or just hang out and cook in the well appointed kitchen or in the backyard on the grill. Enjoy our sunset retreat (no need to leave!) or you can be in Scottsdale/Tempe in 20 minutes for nightlife, dining, sports games and entertainment if thats your scene.

America's Pasttime
If you're here for baseball. This is your place! Cubs stadium is a short 15 min drive. The Rockies, Diamondbacks, Angels, Athletics and Giants all within a 30 min drive or an easy Lyft/Uber ride. 15 teams in the Phoenix area in total!

The Nitty Gritty
The house has 2 garage spots and 2 driveway parking spots, on a cul-de-sac. It's very private in a quiet gated community. No parties or guests beyond those registered at booking. $50/day to heat pool to 84 Sept-May (optional). Please note the pool does not have a fence around it. You are responsible for the safety of everyone near the pool (especially children).

Guest access
You have the Entire house. We/ (owners) will not be there but will be accessible through the VRBO messaging system/texting and are very responsive.

Reservation Details:
1) The minimum age to rent is 28 years.
2) We rent to families and guests with prior positive reviews on VRBO; exceptions to this must be approved prior to confirmation of reservation.
3) The max number of people is 10 guests.
4) Daytime visitors to home may not exceed two (2) people to include adults, infants and children unless prior permission is granted.
5) Absolutely NO parties, gatherings or events permitted.
6) Violation of any house rule may result in termination of the rental agreement, eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid, including rent, cleaning and deposits.
7) A security deposit may be required.
8) There is no fence around the pool. You are responsible for the safety of all guests.
9) Quiet hours observed between 10pm and 7am.
