We have stayed at several places on Lake Sinclair and this one is the best so far! The amenities were great! We caught fish, used the fire pit and enjoyed the hot tub! No complaints here! Will definitely be back❤️
Property was exactly as described with great amenities. Hosts were wonderful and very responsive. Highly recommended from me and I actually live on this lake!
Terrific hosts! Answered any questions and concerns right away. The house was very cute, and the boat was amazing. We had a fantastic time relaxing in the hot tub and pulling the kids behind the boat on the inner tube. We highly recommend this property.
This was a very cute house with a beautiful dock and view. The home was charming with beautiful views. Loved cooking on the charcoal grill. We didn't use the hot tub as the week we stayed was unusually hot. The king size bedroom is a loft. Not a room with doors and at the top of a set of stairs, so not for the elderly to climb. But the bed was comfortable, and we made adjustments to our sleeping arrangements. While we made do after a run to Walmart, the chairs, pots and pans pictured in the listing were not at the home as we expected. After a quick check in with the owner, we found out not everyone respects the homes they rent and as a result, they were missing. On the plus side, they have a boat you can rent with your stay as well. Great, quite neighborhood with lots of charm.
We decided to get away last minute for Mother’s Day and this property was available. We didn’t need all the frills. Just a place to rest and enjoy the scenery. This place fit the need. The house was quaint. The hot tub was enjoyable and the views were perfect. I think I stayed on the back deck the whole weekend. Plus we got to bring our dog and he loved it too. It was very comfy for our small family.

Hi Natasha—happy you enjoyed it. Seems like everything went well and the home was as advertised. Is there a reason you only left a four star review?
We were very comfortable in this nice home on the lake, however a few things should be mentioned to improve the experience. The porch was nice to sit on and look out over the lake. The hot tub was nice and clean too. The kitchen needs some updated utensils and skillets. The upstairs loft needs a blind or curtain for privacy because the window faces the road. The upstairs shower/bathtub does not drain efficiently.
We really enjoyed spending two days on the lake in their rented pontoon boat.
Large, beautiful lake. I’m sure the lake is stunning in the fall. Town and restaurants were 25 mins away. House is secluded with very sweet next door neighbors. Would recommend bringing household items like sponges, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags with you as the house doesn’t have any stocked prior to arrival. Was nice to watch a wonderful firework show from the neighbors across the lake on July 3rd.
Our 4 boys had a blast fishing, swimming, and tubing on the boat!
Our boys ages 8, 8, 19, and 11 had a blast!! Non stop swimming and fishing. The boat and tubing was the icing on the cake. They loved the hot tub and we enjoyed relaxing evening on the porch grilling and watching the boys play! We spend a day in atlanta at the aquarium, just a little over an hour away depending on traffic. we also found the butterfly garden in eatonton, which was more than I expected! So many beautiful flowers and butterflies! The property was nice, with lots of beautiful trees and views from the porch! and our family of 6 immensely enjoyed our time!
The house was very comfortable for 6 adults. After booking we were concerned it may be too small but it wasn't a problem at all. The hosts were easy to get in touch with and very responsive to any questions or issues we had. We rented the boat for two days and had the best time exploring Lake Sinclair and tubing. Honestly, this lake is Beautiful! Sunday we spent a lazy day hanging out on the dock and paddle boarding. The weather was perfect! We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. We did not use the fire pit but they have a nice set-up tucked up in the woodsy section of the property. I was very happy to have spent that sweet time with my family.

Not what we expected
We booked for a 3nt Father’s Day weekend getaway. The house is situated on a pretty lot and setting with its private dock that we were able to fish off. However, we left after our 2nd night as the property was not as described or depicted. We were most excited to use the hot tub and firepit, but neither were in a usable state. The “weekly serviced” hot tub was filled with cloudy water and debris. The firepit's in a dark and wooded area to the side of the house and needs raking/maintenance/cleaning to access/use it. There's no hammock, keurig, dock chairs. The house was deceptively clean at first glance, but had a strong, stale, mothball-like odor. The bed linens had hair/random debris/stains, the pillows need replacing. The upstairs tub doesn’t drain and there's mold in the vent. The fridge door doesn’t seal properly if not firmly pushed in, making everything inside warm. There were also poorly-done ceiling patch jobs in both bathrooms, chew marks on the door trims, a missing laundry room door, ripped screen on the sliding door, and the coax line and cover for the modem hanging out of a kitchen wall. The house looked beautiful in the listing, but the longer we stayed, the worse it got. We made the best of it with some dock fishing but left early. We provided this info to the hosts who said they would review and resolve the issues they felt needed resolving. If you are looking at this property and any of the above is a concern, contact the hosts to ensure it was resolved.
Have you ever been to a place where the pictures didn’t do the listing justice? Well this isn’t one of those places.
Let me start with the positives. The dock was nice, they had board games, and the electricity and water worked.
Now the negatives about this house. When you walk in., the house has an aroma of hot garbage and urine. Next, the internet did not work. After several notifications to the owner I gave up on getting it fixed. With the owner in Europe, there was no onsite property manager to assist with anything.
Another problem was the refrigerator did not keep food cool. The door stays open and your food gets to room temperature. Next, the upstairs bathtub does not drain. The drain itself is rather tarnished. Again, no onsite property Magee available to assist with these issues.
The spa is so dirty that my child would not even get in. It’s supposed to be serviced weekly, but that does not look like it happens. The couch was broke and did not sit straight. There are blood stains on the pillows and sheets. My wife would not even get under the covers. We slept in the upstairs room, on top of the covers, with our own comforter.
Furthermore there was a large dog urine stain upstairs by the bathroom door. In addition, there were marks where a dog has scratched the woodwork around the doors.
We came here for a relaxing week at the lake with my mother in law that has stage 4 cancer. The place was so bad that we left a day early.
