About the host

Hosted by Laura Lerman

Host profile image
Hi, I’m Laura! I live in the North Atlanta area with my husband, Craig. We have a big, close-knit family with six children, two grandchildren, and a very loved Doberman named Mazi. Family time is a huge part of my life, whether we are gathering for our weekly family dinner, traveling, spending time outdoors, or enjoying a relaxing weekend by the water.

I have been a Realtor since 2015, and I own The Lerman Team at eXp Realty. My work has always centered around helping people feel comfortable, informed, and cared for during important transitions. I bring that same mindset to hosting. I want every guest to arrive feeling welcomed, have everything they need for an easy stay, and leave with wonderful memories.

I love exploring local restaurants, discovering hidden gems, and sharing recommendations for the best places to eat, shop, and spend time outdoors. I also enjoy traveling, decorating, entertaining, and creating spaces where people can slow down and reconnect. One of my favorite things about this home is that it gives families and friends a place to relax together, enjoy the lake, and take a break from their everyday routines.

As a host, I pay attention to the details that make a stay feel clean, comfortable, and stress-free. I want you to feel at home here, whether you are enjoying coffee in the morning, spending the day on the water, cooking dinner together, or winding down after a full day of fun.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. It is a privilege to be a small part of your trip, and I hope this home becomes a place where you make special memories and want to return again.

Why they chose this property

We originally chose this property not so much because of the neighborhood, but because we immediately fell in love with the home, the beautiful lake views, and the peaceful little cove right outside. The cove is tucked away from the busier parts of the lake, which creates a calm and comfortable place for children and families to swim, play, and enjoy the water without as much boat traffic nearby.

After purchasing the home and spending more time here ourselves, we also fell in love with the surrounding community. The road forms a full loop that is almost exactly one mile, making it perfect for an easy morning walk, a quiet evening stroll, or simply enjoying the fresh air and scenery.

One of our favorite things to do is sit outside in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea and take in the peaceful views of the lake. The area feels calm, welcoming, and removed from the noise and busyness of everyday life. It is the kind of place where you can truly slow down, spend time together, and enjoy being outside.

We also love everything Lake Sinclair has to offer. The local marinas, waterfront restaurants, and lake activities make it easy to explore and enjoy the area. At the same time, Lake Sinclair still has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that feels less crowded and more laid back than some of Georgia’s other lakes.

What started as falling in love with a house quickly became falling in love with the entire Lake Sinclair lifestyle. It feels like a close-knit lake community where families can relax, reconnect, and make lasting memories. We hope our guests enjoy the peaceful setting, the safe swimming area, and the welcoming feel of the lake as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

What makes our property unique is that it truly feels like a home, not just a place to stay. When we prepare our short-term rentals, we stock and furnish them as though our own family were coming to visit or live there. Our goal is for guests to arrive, settle in, and have what they need to enjoy their time together.

The kitchen has some essentials such as bottled water in the refrigerator and spices in the cabinets. In addition to pots, pans, dishes, and serving utensils, you will find helpful extras such as a slow cooker, rice cooker, trays, and serving bowls. We want families to be able to cook, gather around the table, and enjoy the home without having to bring every little thing with them.

Throughout the property, we have worked to create a cozy, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. There are comfortable blankets available for relaxing, extra pillows in the bedrooms, and rugs and thoughtful touches that make the space feel inviting. We want guests to feel comfortable curling up after a day on the lake, enjoying a quiet morning, or spending an evening together.

This is a new home for our family, and we are excited to continue improving it over the next 18 months. A dedicated coffee bar is one of the first additions we are planning, along with other fun and useful amenities that we hope will make each stay even more enjoyable.

Most importantly, we want this to be a place where families create lasting memories. Our goal is for you to have everything you need during your first visit and to want to return again and again. If there is something that would make your stay more comfortable and we do not already have it, please let us know. Whenever possible, we would love to add it for you and for future guests.

We hope this home becomes one of those special places your family looks forward to visiting year after year.
