The house was perfect for our family of 4. Located in a quiet neighborhood but close to town. About an hour drive to get to Mt Rainier NP. The trail from the backyard to the waterfall was pretty cool as well!
The paths in the back yard were great. It was clean and nice. It was in a town with not much around so be prepared before you get there just to simplify your life. But the house is nice. We have zero complaints!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Communication: The hosts were unreachable throughout our stay. About a week before arrival, I contacted them multiple times through VRBO and text to request an early check-in, but never received a reply. Once at the property, I tried again to ask about accessing the pool advertised in the listing, again, no response.Pool access: The pool is part of a country club that requires hosts to submit a form 48 hours in advance for guest access. Since the hosts weren't responding, I had to call VRBO twice, and VRBO contacted the owners directly on my behalf. The owners only got back to us towards the end of our stay, too late to use the pool at all. There was no apology, just the forms needed to request access.Property condition: The beds were comfortable, but the kitchen and general interior are dated. Basic supplies (salt, pepper, oil) were provided, but little else. The bunk bed was unstable and wobbled dangerously due to loose screws, a safety concern, especially with kids.Overall: Unresponsive hosts, a pool amenity we paid for but couldn't use, and a safety issue with the bunk bed made this stay frustrating, despite the comfortable beds.
The house was nice. Great system of trails right behind house on NF land. Go to the right and there is a waterfall. You can go further but the hike is more difficult. At the Y before waterfall is a moderate difficulty trail. The opposite direction the trail is flat, with many moderate hikes going up from it.
close to mt Saint hellens and Mount Rainier. their were deer in the yard. and one miner drawback, late summer forrest fires, we had to evacuate, but it comes with the territory, and it was an adventure, and story to tell others.
Very quiet property which is what we were looking for. We loved the short hike to the waterfall! The drive to Mt. Rainier was easy and this was a great homebase for day trips.
Convenient area, Comfortable beds and great amenities. We had everything we could ever need available to us while vacationing with family. Would definitely stay again!
