Description of Area: Conveniently situated in the heart of Kenwood's 'Winery Row' in close proximity to world-class wineries, fine restaurants, Jack London State Park, Sugarloaf Mountain, Hood Mountain, and Annadel State Park. A wonderful central location for exploring the Valley of the Moon, Sonoma and Napa.
The route, coming into Kenwood as you drive north through Sonoma Valley, the mountains ribbed with hillside vineyards, is in the same league as those through Tuscany and Provence. Lovely!!

The house was charming. Single story with a few steps to enter. Great looking, fresh, clean, perfectly sized for our family of four (2 bedrooms) — daughters in their 20s, my husband and me. One bathroom, that was as pretty as it was convenient. Terrific advice from the host. Excellent location. Pretty garden, “vanity vineyard” (a new term I learned) and outdoor dining space. We loved the house!

Darling location

We loved this property. We felt like it was priced right. My daughter and I felt at home. The backyard is beautiful We played cards on the deck in the evening. It sleeps 5 and would be great for a larger group (more than 2) if it had more bathrooms. We were fine with one of course. I would highly recommend this home for a couple.

We were delighted by the beautiful home, inside and out! Very clean with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Outdoors has ample seating and beautiful scenery. Local wineries within walking distance.

Beautiful Convenient wine country

Sonoma is at your fingertips in this comfortable updated home complete with a mini-vineyard! Around the corner from dozens of restaurants, shops and wine tasting spaces. Get the wood-fired pizza at Palooza’s! Top wineries are a 5 minute drive - or Uber! The owner keeps the home clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated!! Perfect!!

Peaceful and perfect Sonoma getaway!

Great place, very nicely appointed. The backyard was so nice to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a cup of coffee in the morning. Walking distance to several tasting rooms and wineries, including our new favorite, B Wise. It was just the two of us this time but the house would be great for 4-5 people. We will return!!

Great stay!

Mary's home was immaculate for our Kenwood trip. It exceeded all of our needs and expectations even with our active toddlers...the home provided a safe place with a gorgeous kitchen with everything you could ever need to cook and have a nice dinner. The beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spa-like and beautiful. We didn't get to enjoy the backyard as much due to the rain although I can only imagine how wonderful it will be come Spring, Summer with the peach tree, grape vines and herb garden. One of the best parts about Mary's home is the location. It is two blocks from the wineries, namely VJB and the Mayo Reserve Room....great places for gelato, pizza and of course wine :) Less than a mile (driving) from our favorite winery, Kunde. The best compliment we can give is to say we would stay there again without hesitation.

We loved this home!!!

Every 12 hours one of the three of us would exclaim, "This house is so perfect!" :). The remodeled interior, the well-appointed kitchen, the comfy beds, the happy-colored decor ... PLUS the backyard view, we loved this spot. Quiet neighborhood. Easy walking-distance tasting rooms ... we really never went beyond a two-mile circle!!! Ha. Be aware the very few shopping opportunities are closed MonTue ... if you want to book outside of that. Note: Embarrassingly, locking back door and coffee pot required the manual ... luckily we are seasoned VRBOers and manual enthusiasts. :))). Thx for that, Mary.

Perfect

Booked for a short visit to wine country for my wife and I. From booking to check out, it couldn't have gone better. I am a 31 year hotel professional and the last place I want to stay when I am on vacation is ....... a hotel! Mary the owner was very prompt to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. It was such a pleasure at the end of the day to come back to a peaceful house with a beautiful yard, big well appointed kitchen and a grill. In spite of all the great restaurants in that area we chose to cook at the house four of the five nights just because it was so relaxing. Location was perfect for our day trips as we went in a different direction each day but nothing we wanted to see in wine country (Napa, Sonoma Coast, Russian River, Calistoga) was more than about a 30 minute drive. We expect to stay there again and highly recommend it.

Lovely property, convenient

We stayed to visit my mom nearby, not for the wineries and related, which we are very familiar with. The property is attractive and very well-maintained. Three rows of trellised vines on the backyard's rear and side revealed grapes at the fruit set stage - where the grapes are tiny, bright green, and hard. The vineyard manager stopped one day to perform leafing, which ensures that the grapes are properly exposed and protected. Apart from the vines, the host stocked the backyard with chairs and tables, making it especially inviting and easy to entertain family. The well-appointed kitchen provides a quality stove and appliances for preparing anything you want. We took advantage for breakfast and hors d'oeuvres. The nearby restaurants are convivial with good food, wines and service, while the Zapata taco truck at the corner of 12 surprised us with its great taste, especially the carnitas tacos, and hospitality. We did have some quibbles having to do with the comfort of the pillows, we didn't find them so. I would bring my own next time. However, the furnishings were comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Crossing 12 can take time when making a Left due to traffic. The good news is that It's easy to access a traffic light that's just a few blocks from the house. You can reach it easily by a neighborhood street.

The backyard was absolute heaven. We made a fire in the firepit one night. I couldn't believe there was a vineyard with actual grapes in the back yard. We also had an apple from the apple tree. The neighborhood was adorable and we had great experiences at the nearby wineries and restaurants. I'd 100% recommend!

My husband and I got away for the weekend for his birthday. We loved this cottage so much; it’s darling, close enough to walk to coffee in the mornings and an handful of wineries for tastings. We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the backyard in the evening. We would definitely stay again!

Great location, layout and amenities

My mom lives in Kenwood and we needed a place nearby during a family reunion weekend. The house is clean and comfortable, nicely appointed, and the backyard is charming. Kenwood is a great location for wine country access and trips into Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Santa Rosa. There are some great walks in the neighborhood, and restaurant choices. Mary was available to answer a question right away. I'd stay there again.

Perfect for my Pre-Wedding Date

Clean, comfy, we lit and spacious. The kitchen was perfect for my wedding day "hair and make-up" for myself and my Maid of Honor. Great Place for a Couple

My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating his 70th birthday at this cute house in the Sonoma valley. The owner, Mary, was excellent in returning phone calls and a request to delay our start by one day. And the back yard is a wonderful place to unwind and have some lovely wine at the end of the day.

Lovely Stay

We enjoyed our stay! The cottage was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It was within easy driving distance of Sonoma and Sebastopol and easy walking distance of many Kenwood wineries and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet, and the backyard was perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine. Mary promptly responded to our questions. BYO coffee and tea. (Grind your coffee for drip or French press.) Pro tip: As always, you want to check your cellular carrier's coverage map to make sure you have enough coverage for your communication needs.
