Ski season has officially started at Mt. Bachelor, and now's a great time to experience the winter beauty of Central Oregon. With great food, some of the best beer you can find, and numerous outdoor activities, there's something here for everyone.

Our home is a lovely, well-appointed craftsman in an upscale neighborhood with updated furniture, a huge bonus room, and close proximity to downtown (less than a mile) and Mt. Bachelor (half hour away; check out the Mt. Bachelor weather and snow report here: https://www.mtbachelor.com/the-mountain/weather-operations/conditions-report).

The home offers a peaceful and quiet getaway, sleeps 6-8 comfortably, and is perfect for couples or families. The home welcomes you with a beautiful wrap-around front porch. The interior is bright with natural light and high ceilings.

The first floor includes 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room, dining room, and kitchen. The oversize garage holds two vehicles and provides plenty of space to store skis, bikes, and any other toys you bring.

Upstairs you'll find a large, open skylit loft, with ping-pong, foosball, TV, sleeping area, and lots of hang-out space. Both kids and adults love it. There is also a deck off the upstairs loft with a gas fire pit.

Bedrooms have comfortable beds with TempurPedic toppers. The huge kitchen is stocked with quality cookware and a full range of what's needed, and the kitchen island is a great place to gather for morning coffee and afternoon drinks and snacks. And of course, there's fast Wi-Fi throughout the house. If you're planning a working vacation, there's a large workstation with printer, keyboard/mouse, and 27" monitor.

Clean, updated, comfortable home

We stayed 7 nights at this house and enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is tastefully updated. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for meal prep and dining. Beds were comfortable. Family room has a large flat screen TV and the sofas are super comfortable and including motor driven recliners. Plenty of space in the garage including a bike rack that stored our four bikes with plenty of left over room for more. The neighborhood was quiet and a short distance from downtown Bend. The property owners were super responsive to all of our needs. Definitely would stay again.

Ideal stay, exactly as advertised

We had a wonderfully ideal stay at Laura and Cris’ home in Bend in August. The home was perfect for a family with a big entertainment/bonus area upstairs. With a foosball and ping pong table upstairs, we had entertainment for hours. One key difference is this property had a much more homey feel than other VRBOs I’ve rented in the past. Extremely well furnished and clean. Thank you Laura and Cris! PS Sorry we forgot to take the trash out on Tuesday!

Perfect Long Weekend

We have rented many homes in the Bend area from high end to on the lower end side. As far as finishing this house falls in the middle. It could use updates but it’s charm, room layout, relaxed feel and location out ways things that are in homes that are not necessary. Host were very easy to work with and responded timely with any inquires. House was perfect for a diverse age group. Teens loved the upstairs area. It was a dream place for them with games, TV and comfy couches. My 11 year old asked if we could always rent this house every time we come to Bend. Kitchen, dinning, and living were also ideal for the entire group. Overall great experience.

Close to town yet private

Stayed with my husband and 2 teens for a week while we skied Mt. Bachelor—it was great. Wish we had invited another family to stay with us so we could take full advantage of the game room. Well-stocked house in a great, quiet location close to downtown. Hope to return!

Had a wonderful snowboard vacation.

We came here for a short week of snowboarding. The owners were very responsive during both check in and check out. We didn't have any problems during the stay and so had no need to contact them. The home was just as it was pictured and we felt very comfortable in it. Our stay included two families with two older children each. We had plenty of space and enjoyed out time. While we had planned three days on Mt Bachelor for snowboarding one of those days was canceled due to bad weather. We still had a good day hanging out at the house. One of our party went out for a walk and found some great walk/jog areas. There was a wide variety of stores within a ten minute drive. Overall a great place to stay.
