Formerly an old nursery school, La Vieja Escuela (The Old School) has been updated, but still maintains the old charm of yesteryear with up-to-date amenities for today’s world.

Locals call this type of studio a "casita". It's a very intimate setting suited for couples and individuals. Tucked behind the main house and next to another casita is this studio apartment boasting a kitchenette, 20" gas stove, cable TV, Wi-Fi, queen bed and a renovated pool which is shared with other guests.

The kitchen has recently been remodeled, new appliances and mini-split system AC with heat pump.

Nice stay in this sweet little studio! Adjacent to the pool which we had to ourselves, the pool had lovely landscaping with plenty of seating and umbrellas. Really liked the historic location and walking around the immediate neighborhood. Well maintained, landscaped and clean. Excellent communication with owner who was very nice! Enjoyed this gem.

The suite was extremely clean. When I walked in it was obvious that the unit had been cleaned recently and cleaned well. The space is small but for a long weekend it was perfect. The pool was an added bonus and my 6 yr old enjoyed swimming every day we were there. The backyard area has plenty of chairs for lounging and the landscaping is very pretty. Lots of trees & bushes to screen out the busy road next to the house. My oldest son lives a few blocks away and the walk through the neighborhood was pleasant. All in all, our stay was wonderful & I would definitely book again.

Kitchen is very small. We had to use plastic utensils. No dishwasher. . Laundry room is located in separate room but supplies were available for use. This property was not very clean. Old furniture, baseboards were very dirty. Holes in wall, Vanity and mirror in bathroom very old. Bed linens very cheap. Pool is convenient but covered with leaves.

The pool is serviced regularly; however, late March through April can be the heaviest time of year for surrounding foliage, and occasional leaves may accumulate between cleanings. We do our best to clear this promptly. We encourage guests to review the listing details and photos to ensure the property is the right fit for their stay. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, well-maintained space with unique character, and we’re always available to assist with any questions prior to booking.

West Palm Hideaway

I came down from New York to visit family and have some alone time near the beach. This property is a gem tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with access to all that West Palm Beach has to offer.

Old Northwood Neighborhood really is a gem near enough from downtown, airport and beaches. It’s also far enough that you don’t have to deal with the noise and commotion. The area is only getting better with all the future plans that are coming near this area.
