Afternoon rains give way to grand sunsets. Nights are cool for sleeping with the windows open. State forest hiking trails are at your doorstep. Enjoy the geckos, wild parrots and nighttime coqui frogs, that add to the magical forest setting.

Nice place in the forest above Kona. Hike into the nearby preserve was nice. Def recommended.

Paradise Again

As if Hawaii isn’t spectacular enough already, there is this work of art in the forest that ices the cake. Masterfully built with finishing touches that leave a visitor smiling to herself. Comfortable from start to finish. Private, beautiful inside and out, and located conveniently close to Kona. Clean, even by my high standards. And the host…wonderful. He allowed us early check in and late check out (even though we still managed to be 10 mins late leaving bc we had so much stuff to cram into carry ons). Would stay again! Thanks so much!
