The cabin was secluded and peaceful, perfect for a weekend getaway for two. The space was clean and the kitchen had all the dishes/pans we needed. The fireplace made our stay especially cozy.
The cottage is a very lovely escape into nature! It. was clean and comfortable - perfect if you need a place close to both Itheca and Watkins Glen! It can be a little difficult to find at first, especially in the dark but the host is aware and provided clear instructions to help. I will be keeping this place in mind next time I visit the Finger Lakes region!
We so enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Perfect location for exploring the Finger Lakes & all of the gorges the area has to offer. The cottage itself was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to have a great stay. Cooking was really enjoyable & the kitchen was well set up. The setting was tranquil and it was very restorative to be surrounded by nature, the property was fun to explore! The fire pit & hammocks were a plus! We really enjoyed how eco-friendly the rental was, from the structure's natural material to being able to compost, & finally not have abrasive cleaning products used in the home. We highly recommend & would love to return in the future!
Nice proximity to Cayuga and Seneca lakes. Very private, peaceful setting. Beautifully crafted cottage that had everything we needed. A wonderful place for rural relaxation and easy access to Ithaca, Watkins Glen and the Finger Lakes region. We used the porch and the hammocks often!
We absolutely loved our stay in the cabin! The owners have clearly put so much thought and care into making this the perfect escape. It had everything we needed, and was close to all Ithaca has to offer. We especially loved having the wood burning stove on a chilly rainy day. We can’t wait to visit again!
This was my second time staying at this lovely private cottage in the woods, and I'll definitely be returning next year! The space is just so lovely and warm, with a great vibe and peaceful ambiance. The photos don't even do it justice, as picturesque as they are. Quiet time all day and night, not another soul in sight. A perfect place for a solo traveler to disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with real life. Great coffee and fantastic hosts. I'd give it a million stars if I could.

Thanks James! You're always a welcome guest anytime.
This is a lovely little cottage. Very peaceful and feels secluded but still convenient to get into Ithaca. It’s very comfortable with everything you need, although we haven’t done any cooking during our short stays. The porch with the hammocks is so wonderful for enjoying morning coffee, with no other humans in sight and the fire pit is great at night when you’re out gazing at the stars because it is nice and dark here. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is really nice.
Great for peace and solitude. Hammocks are relaxing. If this is what you are looking for you won't regret staying here.Nice architecture and custom carpentry.Midway between Lakes Cuyuga and Seneca for vineyards and other attractions.Description lists three person max but it is more suitable for two.We were there in summer but would be nice to take advantage of wood burning stove in colder months. We would rent again when in the area.
