About this property

Mountain Retreat with stunning views on 2.5 Acres

The View House is a secluded cabin nestled on 2.5 acres in the midst of tall pines and beautiful aspens, the views are spell binding. We are just 10 minutes from Cripple Creek. Enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Pisgah and surrounding mountain ranges from every window. We have made the cabin very cozy with its 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, wood fireplace, and a big deck with a grill and seating. Special touches from Renee and Michael make your romantic getaway or family stay an unforgettable experience.

Whether you use The View House as a base for exploring the surrounding small towns and nature adventures, or as a spot to just sit and relax in the midst of the pines and aspens on 2.5 acres and enjoy the wind through the trees, we know you will come away from your stay refreshed and relaxed. You will surely appreciate the less crowded roads, the offbeat little stores and old mining towns, and all the opportunities for natural adventures in a part of the state far less familiar to many visitors to Colorado.

Did I mention the views? Just imagine sitting on the deck having your morning cup of coffee while soaking up the warm Colorado sunshine and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and trees.
This is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. Lots of places for hiking, even just stepping out of the cabin is an amazing place to hike and take in the views.

Located within 5 miles of groceries, restaurants, and gas stations. We are also located not far from Pikes Peak, Cripple Creek, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods and Cog railway. If you’re looking to venture even further, we are an hour away from Breckenridge, Vail, Salida and Canon City.

The View House highlights one of Colorado's attractions that is often overlooked: a true mountain life experience.

The View House is a secluded house/cabin in the mountains near Cripple Creek. It has a wood stove in the living room and amazing views. It has 4 queen beds in 4 bedrooms. Our cabin is your home away from home, fully stocked with all necessities. We offer coffees and teas, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer, board games, books and coloring books. The WIF connection in the house is very good.

The Cripple Creek area is a secluded and mountainous region rich with wildlife--we have recently seen several foxes, a family of mountain sheep, black bears, bobcats, turkeys and mountain lions.

You can reach us at any time and we are really glad to have you as our guest.

Beautiful view
This house is really “the view house” the view was beautiful! We did have a hard time parking when we arrived due to the snow piled up in the driveway but we did find out that there was a bad snow storm the day before we got there! Other than that the house was great!

Cripple Creek Ice Castle Visit
The property was as advertised. It was very clean, spacious, and there were plenty of supplies provided. We enjoyed our time there. The driveway needed a quality 4WD vehicle because of all the snowfall. The deer and coyotes that visited were an added bonus.

About the host

Host profile image
Our whole family loves the Colorado skies and mountain vistas. We have lived in this home we are now sharing with you, our guests, so the touches you notice there are personal to us. We enjoy hearing from all who visit our home, hoping that the special air and tranquility of the place speak to you as strongly as they have to us.

Why they chose this property

Located a bit off the beaten track, with its own special light and shadows that change with the season and time of day, this house is a refuge from the noise of the big cities, where you can see and hear the birds without road noise and enjoy the stunningly bright stars at night. Just far enough away to be quiet, but close enough for visits to sights and adventures all in a radius of a 45-minute drive.

What makes this property unique

The views here are unparalleled, unique to this place even in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Visits from deer, foxes, even the occasional bobcat or bear make the stay here more than simply a quiet break from the rush and noise of the city.
