Linda, THANK YOU so much for taking care of our home line it was yours. The maid could not even tell that anyone was there. She was excited and started washing the sheets. It was an honor to have you and your family as guests in our home.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you found the home spacious and clean, and that we were able to resolve the plumbing issue promptly after you notified me. When you contacted me about the outdoor furniture, I responded immediately. The existing chairs had been moved to block the stairs leading down to the dock so your dog could not access the lower level. That same day, my housekeeper delivered additional chairs, and I also ordered new lounge chairs from Amazon, which arrived during your stay. Regarding the pool, Rockport experienced significant rainfall during your visit, which can quickly affect outdoor pools. As soon as you notified me, I arranged for an emergency pool cleaning, and by the following morning the pool was clean and ready to enjoy. Unfortunately, due to local water restrictions, I am not permitted to drain and repaint the pool, so the older chipped paint on the bottom can sometimes be mistaken for stains. Because I wanted you to enjoy your vacation despite the rainy weather, I also offered to extend your stay at no additional charge. I completely understand your decision to leave early because of the weather. As the owner of a single vacation home, my daughter and I personally monitor and respond to every guest message. We take pride in providing prompt communication and doing everything we can to resolve concerns as quickly as possible so our guests can enjoy their stay. I appreciate that you recognized I was easy to contact and made every effort to accommodate your concerns. I sincerely wish you and your family all the best.

Stephanie, Thank you for the kind words. You were right about the washer. They are changing the springs on the washer this Thursday. They were worn out for heavy load usage. The washer and dryer are only 2 years old but I learned my lesson for buying Samsung. lol As far as the bugs. If the outside light is turned off at night, it will discourage the bugs to show up for the light. I am glad that you guys had a great time. Thanks again for choosing us. Ron

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this guest. When our downstairs AC was damaged during a storm, we worked with her to reach a fair solution. We increased her discount to $500 based on her written agreement to leave the fan in the garage. She agreed to these terms but took the fan when she checked out. When we asked about it, she said she would not leave it because she had paid $135 for it. We also discovered that she had purchased only one fan, despite initially saying she had purchased two. We made a substantial concession in good faith and expected our written agreement to be honored. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our goodwill had been taken advantage of. We would not host this guest again.
