We very much enjoyed our stay. The pool was simply amazing! We spent a lot of time in the pool during out extended weekend. The place was very clean. The kitchen is downstairs and it is probably best to bring groceries around back on the outside steps rather than going in the first floor then down the spiral staircase. The view off the back deck goes to a shallow backwater area. The first morning I was enjoying coffee and saw a heron fishing. The little cousins were catching small panfish and one decent sized bass. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall, the place was roomy and in a quiet area. The pool was refreshing. Could have used some more serving bowls and cookware but we got by. The beds were comfortable. Lots of stairs. For older individuals, could be a problem.

There was pet fur on the sheets in one of bedrooms upstairs. We found mold in the coffee grounds left in the coffee pot. Our recommendations are: more toilet paper and paper towels available. A new can opener. We had a few people slip in the shower upstairs, recommending that bath mats be in the shower/tub. More staples like aluminum foil, ziplock bags and trash bags. We left a box behind. Also, more dish towels are recommended, we did a lot of dishes during our stay. Oh! Sugar packets for coffee.

They advertised a grill but didn’t state it was a pellet grill and there were no pellets. Made it difficult to grill the burgers we brought

Host was very helpful and was able to provide responses to our questions in a timely fashion. She was also very helpful when recommending the KOA lake access as the lake itself is private. Pool was wonderful/refreshing as we were able to spend the time together outside on a week when the temperature was very hot. Lake was not quite what we had expected. The lake was filled in with silt behind the house for lake access. We had planned to swim, float, paddle boarding and fish directly behind the house. We did not realize we would need to walk to “access the Lake.” The photos do not reflect that this is not right on the property and need to be updated. The boat dock access was confusing for us to find when trying to fish. Decks were also a wonderful way to spend time outside with shade during morning coffee, cooking/grilling and playing games together. We were able to see several lizards, hummingbirds, deer and cardinals.

Family getaway

The weekend was so great and the place is a great getaway the family and I really enjoyed ourselves and the pool was a great perk. The house was perfect for the whole family and the host was even better we will definitely be back.

What an amazing family vacation

This was the perfect family vacation for my family and my brother’s family to come together for week (we live 12 hours apart) and spend the week soaking up the sun, playing, fishing, and relaxing. Cannot wait to return next year!

Perfect for Family Vacation

We were a group of 6 adults, 2 teens, and 3 kids ad we all loved staying here. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the pool fit all 11 of us, no problem. It was hard to get the kids to leave the pool to do anything else, but they also enjoyed the dock down to the lake where they saw frogs, turtles, deer, and all kinds of other wildlife. Would definitely stay here again.

Initially house was beautiful from distance until close up. Has lots of obvious water issues. Several walls sheetrock bowed, cracking, mold on ceiling vents downstairs, upstairs closet with very heavy wet/musty odor. Very few towels, sheets and blankets. ALL musty smelling. Not child or Kid friendly at all!!!!! Upstairs very hot, downstairs cold! Metal staircase very inconvenient especially if wanting late nite snack. Downstairs open sleeping arrangement in kitchen area so NOT working!!! Everyone sleeping there up all nite if anyone else wants snacks or having to make baby bottles through the nite. Mattresses horrible. One bedroom had used sheets, bedding. Had to wash my sheets, bedding at midnight the day of arrival before I could sleep!! Only one smoke detector in whole house. No pool fencing. Very unsafe for kids!!! Otherwise the Pool was a great relief for the intense heat! Back of house at swamp area of lake which attracts lots of bugs and mosquitoes and near impossible to keep out of house! Overall very disappointing!!!!!!! Definitely would NOT recommend to a family, but could work for maybe college kids or a bunch of adults. With some work to house and upgrades, this home could be great IMO. But, We will NOT stay here again as a family.!!!

This house was perfect for our family get-away. We spent most of our time outside on the back patio area or around the pool. Both are nice areas with plenty of room. The lake view in back is grown up significantly more than shown in pictures but we enjoyed searching for and watching the wildlife. Provided pool towels are a great perk. The hosts are very friendly and promptly answered any questions.
