Beautiful ocean view home on amazing Bald Head Island

Fantastic to wake up in the morning and look out over the Atlantic. Reverse floor plans home with 2 br, both with private baths, on lower lever. Master br has a private porch with a swing to enjoy a lazy afternoon. Second br has bunk beds plus a queen bed too accommodate up to 4 guests. Upper level with kitchen, dining area and living room. Enjoy the great ocean views. Easy walking distance to the ocean. I have memberships in both the Shoals and BHI clubs so a temporary membership is available to purchase for either. There are 2 four seat golf carts for your use. Not a better place to relax on the island

Perfect BHI Location

Great view and location

We loved having breakfast on the upstairs porch overlooking the ocean. House and carts were in good condition and everything was clean. Short ride to the market and short walk to the beach.

Beautiful home with an ocean view !

Nice home with comfy beds . Great room is awesome . Kitchen is very well equipped. Both golf carts are nice . I would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic getaway in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property is well equipped and a very short walk to the beach. We especially enjoyed the views from the upper deck. We will definitely be back!

Loved Sail 4 Fun!

What a great place to stay. We have been coming to BGI for a number of years and this home is perfect for the two pf us. Great location, wonderful home and relaxing ocean view. We will be staying here again :)

Excellent location!

The house was perfect for the two of us. Clean and comfortable, with a great view from the top floor and deck, and easy access to the beach. We hope to return for another stay soon!

Great week at the beach

Convenient location; short walk to the beach but great views on south beach at BHI. No bad surprises. Very comfortable. Know that there are 3 levels so lots of stairs.

Beautiful Home in Perfect Location

The home was perfect for our small family! We spent long days at the Shoals Club and also enjoyed being able to walk to the beach in the evenings. The Shibumi shade was much appreciated - it worked better than the umbrellas at the club. We saw details of the full moon from the deck with the telescope and loved the expansive view of the ocean from the living room and deck. We’d like to stay again!

Cute place close to the beach

This is a cute 2 bedroom house, right across from South Beach. There is a view of the ocean from the living room. It has recently been renovated, and is a very nice place to stay.

Wonderful rental on bald head

Wonderful rental for the family. The path to the beach was simple and a quick walk. The open concept living, dining and kitchen was great for everyone to be together yet apart. Thanks for a great vacation

Wonderful week

Carol's house was perfect for the three of us and there's plenty of space for more. Very nice bedrooms and baths, great ocean views, close to the beach, and a generously sized main room and kitchen, which was super comfortable when family (from all over US) staying in other houses stopped by. Loved the top deck for coffee in the morning and drinks at night. Excellent communication and our travel went well smoothly too -- happy about all!

Anniversary trip

Wonderful experience! House as advertised, views better than pictures. The house sits up on a hill providing sweeping view of the ocean, albeit over and between rooftops. Host was quick to respond to questions and very good to work with. This house is perfect for a small family or couple. Will definitely rent again.

Relaxing, clean home with a great view!

We've stayed on Bald Head Island several times before finding this wonderful home! We agreed this was the best VRBO on the island! Relaxing, clean and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. Amenities were fantastic! Well stocked coffee! And we were greeted with a bottle of wine with a thoughtful welcome note!

Spectacular Bald Head property!

I booked a 3-night stay for my parents at this property and after leaving, they immediately started making plans to come back. Awesome location, incredible views, sparkling clean, nicely decorated, and peaceful. This was a very special trip for them and I am so grateful to the host for making their time so wonderful! Fantastic home in a beautiful location

We have been coming to the island for 20 years now, and this is one of the few houses we’ve stayed at that we would have no hesitations about returning to. The house was clean, outfitted well, and the layout was perfect for a small family. The furniture and decor were proportioned well and took advantage of the space. This never happens, but somehow, the view was actually better and more beautiful than the photos suggest. The owner was extremely communicative and responded immediately. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful Retreat

This was a girls trip with 5 women and Carol's house was the perfect spot for us to get away from work, children, life, etc and relax. Carol was EXTREMELY prompt in responding to a couple of issues we had and everything was fixed and just perfect. The view off the upstairs balcony is perfect to check out and read a book or enjoy a glass of wine. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. The golf carts were perfect, plus the extra perk of having 4 bikes was amazing to explore the island. The location is also ideal being right in between the east beach and the central area with the shops and market. I would highly recommend this beach oasis on Bald Head.

Not good enough

Good location and overall nice design. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were cheap and lumpy, and the floor left our feet or socks dirty after ten minutes. The door lock required an arm wrestle to open every time. We were subjected to a claim against our insurance coverage for damages to the golf cart we didn’t even drive. We won’t be back!

Perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay. Carol was great at communicating and made sure we had beach towels at our request. The house is beautiful and well equipped and evenings on the upper porch watching the water at twilight were wonderful. We cook a lot and make our favorite meals on vacation. The kitchen had almost everything we needed, except for measuring cups. If you’re cooking or baking, maybe bring some with you. Otherwise, we found everything from cheese graters to bottle openers. For my wife and I, the master bed was a bit hard and we didn’t get the best sleep. We made up for that with afternoon naps on the plush and comfy sofa and relaxing at the beach which is a quick 5 minute walk away. The provided beach chairs were wonderful. Carol even had bottles of sunscreen available for us. We were really pleased with Sail 4 Fun. We’ve stayed in a lot of places on BHI and this one was great. Perfectly situated for easy walks over to the beach every day and cozy and comfortable after a long day in the sun!

Super house

Clean. Nice view. Enjoyed the hammock. Loved all the bikes. Perfect huge sectional couch for lounging with teenagers to watch movies and do puzzles. The golf cart that we were able to use was new but very sluggish. Mattress in master bedroom could stand an upgrade. Not the most comfortable one I’ve ever slept on. Would definitely return.

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway for Families!

Our Thanksgiving stay at your Bald Head Island house was absolutely wonderful! The kids especially adored the bunk bed room, which became their own little haven. The ocean view from the house was simply breathtaking, providing a constant source of entertainment and relaxation. The house itself was spotless and perfectly equipped for a comfortable stay. All the amenities were in excellent condition and met all our needs. The only minor suggestion I would offer is that upgrading the cookware would be a great improvement. Overall, we had a truly magical Thanksgiving experience at your home. The kids had so much fun exploring the island, and we all enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the setting. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! Highlights: Perfect for families with kids (especially the bunk bed room!) I’m a dentist in Raleigh, N.C. , just retired, and am lucky enough to of just acquired this lovely home. I enjoy traveling as much as possible and sailing. Have owned properties on the island for over 30 years and Bald Head is my favorite place. My languages are English, French, Italian and very very bad Spanish if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Why they chose this property

From the moment you hop on the ferry in Southport the stress just seems to drop. One of my favorite things about coming to the island is just riding the ferry up top with the breeze and sun. You can paddle board, canoe, charter a sail trip at the harbor, bike ride or just hang out at the beach. The house has an upper deck with great views of the ocean which is perfect with a glass of wine. I have memberships in both the Shoals and Bald Head clubs if you wish to make use of them. I’m sure you’ll have a fabulous time
