We traveled from Michigan with 2 children and no pets. It was perfect and in a nice neighborhood. We were here visiting an ill relative and just needed a place to sleep and eat. It was lovely and perfect. I would definately stay here in the future.
Host was very responsive to messages. Home was very well stocked with everything you need for short and longer stays. Location was very close to everything. Nice to have a grill!
We had a great stay. The property was immaculate, spacious, quiet and in a quiet neighborhood and had about everything we needed. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog and we used the little patio and grill quite a bit. It's a short hop to down town and there were supermarkets and almost any store you would want very close by. Our host was very responsive but she was so well organized, we didn't need her help much at all. We can wholeheartedly recommend this property. We hope to book it again in the near future.
It was a well-equipped home with equally nice bedrooms for everyone. We appreciated having the shed available to store our bikes. It was an easy bike ride to get to the start of our Bike MS event. We would stay here, again!
The house was clean, easy to find and communication with owner was easy! We loved the ease of walking through the safe neighborhood and were extremely pleased with the property!
From start to finish the property and hostess was well beyond what we expected. This is a great listing and we will tell all our family members this place should be added to their list of places to stay while visiting New Bern.
Thanks so much to our hostess....Jocelyn.
The property was very clean and well stocked. The property was located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The property was cozy and close to restaurants and stores. I was there on business, but the property was excellent for a wonderful family vacation.
Jocelyn's home was perfect for our visit to New Bern! The home is very comfortable, is located just a short distance from downtown, and the fenced-in backyard was an ideal spot for our dog to romp around.
LOVED this little neighborhood and the house was super nice. This was perfect location for getting to the marathon on Saturday morning. Would stay there again. thanks for everything.
We stayed at this property for the weekend as our son was getting married in New Bern. The house was clean and the check in process was very smooth. The property manager was very responsive to my messages and all concerns were handled promptly and to our satisfaction. It is very close to downtown and all the sites to see in this cute town!
The house was exactly as expected, clean and roomy for the 8 of us. Close proximity to the Wedding Venue, Amelia Grove, which was perfect. Went shopping downtown and the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning was great. Plenty of things to do to keep is all busy.
A very good place to stay. Definitely worth the money
When you consider that a quality motel room runs close to 100$ a night, a long term stay in this house, (a month plus) is definitely a great value. When you consider the ample space afforded by the dining and living room areas, even on a nightly basis, its more than a great value. Top it off with a private back yard and a grill, and entertaining a group while in town beats even the largest motel suites, and the three bedrooms offer ample privacy. The location is on a residential side street, so traffic is minimal, and yet within a half mile you have access to many restaurants, shops, and a very good medical facility. Definitely a great value for 6-8 people.

My husband and I grew up in Pennsylvania and love camping and warm weather. Currently, I am a school teacher in PA and travel back and forth to North Carolina when I am off. I love the access to water and the small town.
Why they chose this property
My husband and I have been camping and visiting many beach towns on our travels for a few years. We stumbled upon New Bern and loved that it was a small town but close to the water. We came back to visit many times because you have two rivers in your backyard and a short drive to the beach. It was the perfect spot to buy a vacation home.
