We came for a funeral and it was a great place for us to stay (unlike a crowded hotel room). The rooms were great and we felt very at home.

The house was comfortable and pleasant to stay in and covenant to shopping and restaurants the host was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay in Madison Indiana.
Madison is such a beautiful town to visit and David's place was very centrally located and within walking distance of most everything we wanted to do and see. The house is much larger than it looks from the outside and the beds were comfortable. The electric stove takes quite some time to heat up, but we were able to cook. If you plan on eating many meals there you may want to bring salt ( there was only pepper), oil, or other staples you will need but the dining room table is a nice size and there is small table in the kitchen. There is only a claw foot tub and shower combo so may not be accessible to everyone, and the stairs to the second floor are steep (and creaky - no one will sneak out of this house! :) but were navigable even in an air cast (just take your time). Parking was easy in front of the house, and though we didn't get to enjoy it, there is a back yard. The internet connection was strong (be advised there is only one television and that is in the living room if having a TV in bedrooms is important to you), the HVAC unit was digital and easy to use and worked well (there are also fans and extra blankets), and the bedrooms have black out curtains. The house was very clean and the linens smelled fresh.Communication with David and check in and out was very easy and we enjoyed our stay. This house is in a neighborhood with other lovely, historic homes (one is right next door). It's a great location for a visit in wonderful Madison!
Everything about this property was just as expected. We had 7 adults stay and there was plenty of space for all of us. It was in close proximity to everything we needed for our stay. David even had coffee for us to drink in the morning. Everything about our stay was great and we all said we would stay here again.
Ideal location - safe, convenient, super attractive area for a girls trip stay. Great walking distance to downtown, riverwalk, and short drive to hiking at Clifty Falls.

Thank you so much! I really hope to see you all again, soon!!
Our host, David, was very responsive and friendly. He truly made our stay memorable. Addition, the house is large and welcoming. There was plenty of space for my husband, myself, and our two granddaughters, not to mention our small dog, Teddy. It’s also an historic home which adds a special ambiance.
We had a great time. The house was perfect for our family catching up. This house is a beautiful older house and the property manager was so helpful! Highly recommend it and would stay here again.
Owner was very responsive and helpful on recommendations in the area. House was great an very accommodating for our group. The beds were so comfortable too. Location is great, walking distance to all the shops.

Thank you, Julie! I enjoyed hosting you and your friends. I hope to see you again soon. You were fantastic!!
The location was great, we were able to walk to dinner both evenings as well as the Main Street shops and wineries. We also spent a morning at Cliffty Falls state park just a few minutes drive away. Parking on the street was easy and there was plenty of space for 3 cars we brought for our trip birthday trip.

Thank you for your review! I’d love to have you back again to earn that 5th star. I’ll even provide a neutral smelling body soap. I typically hold off on providing that due to different skin tolerances.
It would be nice if there was more comfortable seating and more lamps in the bedrooms for reading

Thank you for your stay and your review! I have since replaced the recliner with two reading chairs. I also added night stands and lamps in the two spare bedrooms.
Fantastic location, close to charming shops and beautiful walks, near a stunning state park. Plenty of comfortable space to hang out and decompress after our day adventures. The historic home is beautifully appointed. The stairs were no problem for our group, but might be too steep for small children or someone with mobility limitations.Check-in was a breeze, and the host was thorough, responsive and kind. We came for a conference, but I would definitely return for a holiday weekend, and happy to stay at this home.

Nice town, charming home in a great location with an exceptional host! We would not hesitate to stay here again. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants while visiting. On our next trip (and there will be one!), we will plan to tour some of the historic homes and take a ride on the river.
