Grant communicated well the property. The property was very comfortable and just as indicated in the listing, It was clean and with a nice view! We enjoyed the game room! Neighboring establishment was very welcoming!
Interesting location on a canal with a bar/restuarant next door. We also found a fully equipped kitchen which we used. Inside finishes and the outside fenced deck and yard made staying with our dog easier. Although we didn’t use it, the lower level game room would be nice if one has children. Even with the facility next door the area was quite and peaceful.
The cabin is really clean and welcoming. We were able to launch our kayaks and paddle up the canal into the lake to catch a few fish. Grant reached out to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a quiet relaxing stay.
Our stay on Canal Lane was enjoyable bc the cottage was very clean, easy communication with host, no hassle access, pet friendly and close to our event and activities.
Great find. House was perfect for a long weekend with our three year old. Host was super responsive and even set out a pack n play and baby gate for us. Highly recommend!
What a great stay! Here for a baseball tourney and wanted a place to relax after games. Did not disappoint. Kids fished and took out the kayaks. Dog loved running around the yard and we loved sitting on the deck watching it all unfold! Super fun to duck next door to the Watering Hole too. Not loud at all!
This is an amazing place to stay, great area to walk around and sight seeing, there are tons of places with great food around the area as well. Grant is an amazing host, communicates well and had everything we needed in the house. Thank you!
The house was perfect for our nice weekend getaway, and had everything we could need. We lucked out with some beautiful weather and the kids had a great time with the kayaks and canoes on the canal and the lake. Grant was very responsive and really easy to work with.
Perfect lodging for travelers and their pups...especially if you are attending a wedding or other event at the Halverson House nearby. Everything was as described. It was clean and very comfortable, and it has all the essentials. It was extremely hot and humid during our stay at the end of July, and the A/C worked flawlessly to keep us comfortable. Our host Grant even dropped off a load of firewood on the dock during our stay in case we wanted to have a backyard fire. The only thing to add that would have made it perfect for us is to add some screening attached to the short section of small deck fencing to make it chihuahua-proof. We had to keep them on leashes while outside because they could easily slip through the fence. Bigger dogs are no problem though. Our biggest dog is 15 pounds and she could not fit through, so she could be out there loose. The Watering Hole next door is a very cute, fun place to stop in for a bite and a drink, and it was not a problem with noise or whatnot being right next door. Thanks for a great stay! Highly recommended.
Such a cute cabin! We brought our 16 year old pup for a last trip before we put him down. It was a peaceful place, we got to spend time together. The game room downstairs is really cool, I spent hours playing PacMan. Would recommend as a perfect getaway from Chicago. Milwaukee is close by but there’s lots of restaurants nearby too.Grant was wonderful and communication was great. I had erroneously booked the wrong date and Grant was able to fix it for me.We will be back especially since it was too cold to use the kayaks or canoe.
