About this property

The Lodge @ America's Switzerland - The Mountains Are Calling!

Breathtaking views of mountains of three states from the most gorgeous lodge in the Berkshires! Indescribably beautiful any time. See for yourself why this view was referred to as "America's Switzerland". Watch the most spectacular sunset while enjoying the warmth from one of two fireplaces. While you feel a world away, the Lodge is less than 10 minutes away from MASS Moca, Williams College, N Adams and an easy drive to Clark Art and local ski resorts (Jimmy Peak, Mt. Snow and Berkshire East).

Hibernate with a view
Simply the best mountain view in Massachusetts. Like for real. Take a time-lapse video of the snow rolling in. My wife and I appreciated the quiet isolation of winter in the Berkshires for a few days of "working-from-NOT-home". It is a short drive down to North Adams for a dinner out, and to grab a bottle of wine. We hope to return in the future to share the experience with family.

Perfect wintry getaway
The Lodge was a perfect landing spot for my group of friends—we wanted a cozy place to gather over a long weekend for some overdue catching up. The Lodge provided an enormous kitchen where all 5 of us could prep food or hang out and join the action. We cooked som lovely meals together. The dual fireplace was fantastic. One day we planned on seeing the sights but we were so comfortable at the house that we never left! We enjoyed being walking distance to a lovely trail (the Hoosac Trailhead is just a minute walk away). Don’t even get me started about the view. It is INCREDIBLE. We hope to return here again…this place is a dream. Lea was an extremely attentive host and answered all of our questions promptly. I even left something behind and she was great about getting it to a local friend. Above and beyond!!!

Clean and comfortable 2 bedroom house
The house was clean and comfortable. The check in process was very easy and Lea was very responsive. The house is listed as a 3 bedroom but one bed is in the livingroom without a door to close. While the accommodations were okay for our small group of friends, the description was not accurate and some visitors may be very disappointed.

Breathtaking Views
Lea is an amazing host. The property was beautiful, well maintained, and clean. You can’t get views any better than this. The coffee shop next door is so convenient and food and coffee are delicious. I was not aware that this property has multiple smaller cabins, hammocks, and picnic tables, yet it feels very private. I will note that the upstairs bathroom shower is old and very small and not pictured. One room had low slanted ceiling that you had to watch for hitting your head. And the 3rd bedroom was a bed in the living area downstairs w/o a door. None of these things had a negative effect on our stay but it should be noted. The downstairs bathroom was new and beautiful with a nice new walk-in shower. I would absolutely stay here again and again!
