This was our third stay at this lovely property. It is in a country setting with a beautiful yard and fire pit which we enjoy with our family. It is very clean and has many special touches. The host, Sandi communicates well and is a pleasure to deal with.
We were looking for a home to house 10 of us : two families of 4 ( 20 somethings kids ) and our parents to relax , hang out , play games, eat and bring present during the holiday season. It was perfect!I
Loved our stay at the farmhouse! Absolutely beautiful! Spacious, comfortable, immaculate, welcoming - felt right at home the minute we walked in. The surrounding area is gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again. Perfect spot for a getaway! Thank you Sandi!
The farmhouse was an ideal place for our two large families to be together. The large farm table could fit all of us, the kitchen and living room made it so we could be together for all of our cook and prep time. The yard and two tables outside made it possible for us to picnic together. We enjoyed the farmhouse so much! Thank you for letting us be together in your beautiful space.
Arriving in the dark after a long day of travel, checking into this beautiful home couldn’t have been easier. The house was spotless, organized and beautiful. Wide plank floors and many original details but all upgraded amenities. The kitchen had everything we needed. We come to the area to visit friends every summer and hope to stay again. Thank you Sandi for a perfect stay.
Nicely updated old farmhouse. Plenty of room inside and out. Great communication and easy arrival and departure instructions. Pay attention to the directions if you’re new to the area. It’s right on 8a but you will lose your cell signal. The Wi-Fi works great. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay. The house is very nicely updated, clean and had all the amenities we needed. Shari was a great host very communicative and available. Highly recommend.
My three 50 college girlfriends and I had a wonderful summer stay at the farmhouse. It was a very welcome, resting place after exploring all the delightful towns around the area.. I would love to return in the winter for a ski vacation with my family! Sandi was super easy to communicate with!
Perfect place for a nice family get away. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The home is large, well maintained and nicely updated. Very comfortable accommodations. The host was very responsive and helpful during the trip.
This renovated farmhouse is a perfect quiet retreat. My elederly mother really enjoyed the property as did I. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed to cook and serve our meals. The dining table could easily accommodate a large family gathering, though we only needed table space for four people. The two main floor bedrooms with a full bath were perfectly placed in the home. The upstairs three bedrooms, full bath and sitting/TV room were nicely done and comfortable for our family. All the beds are queen size and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the woodburning stove in the livingroom. It took the chill off the cool spring evening. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and will book again the next time we visit central Mass.
We booked this property for its sledding hill and woodstoves. The house was well appointed with absolutely anything you could need. The kitchen was well stocked. We had enough wood to run both stoves for three days. We were nice and toasty. The bedrooms were beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The layout of the house was great! The kids got their own living space upstairs, which was nice when they wanted to chill without the adults. The house was big and beautiful and it had a great sledding hill in the back. We would definitely book this home again! We really enjoyed our stay!
The property description is accurate, and the home was clean and comfortable. The property manager was welcoming and provided information regarding local events and places to visit. We were pleased with the accommodations and had a very good time.
We stayed at the property for a fishing trip in/around the Deerfield River. The location was great and the house is fantastic. Fully stocked with linens, kitchen gear, firewood, etc. Really nice updating of original farmhouse. Great places for eating and sitting/socializing (including outside firepit area). 5 separate sleeping rooms was ideal for our party of 5.
We rented the house for a long weekend to celebrate our son graduating from UMass. There were few choices of large homes nearby Amherst, so we chose this one. It was a bit off the beaten path, but we were thrilled with it! It’s a beautiful old home that has been updated with all the bells and whistles. It had plenty of room including a large kitchen where we congregated in for much of our time there. We enjoyed a firepit one evening and played games at the massive dining room table a few times. If we choose to come back to the area for any reason in the future, we would definitely stay here!
This was our 3rd year staying at this beautiful , relaxing clean home. Our grandchildren love sledding and cross country skiing in the backyard. We’re only about 15 minutes from Berkshire East. The host has made sure you are comfortable and have everything you need.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farmhouse. Our host, Sandi was very communicative through out the whole process. The home was very clean and had so many wonderful amenities. The wood burning stoves were set up for easy use and made for a very cozy winter stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay here again!
Three generations of family skiing atBerkshire East. The Farmhouse easily accommodated us all. Very Comfortable yet elegant. It had absolutely everything one could need or want. Linens were amazing.
This is a very special property, and we were fortunate, once again, to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family in Heath. It has now become our family "tradition" to journey to the Berkshires and enjoy this gorgeous home with friends/family. As usual, the house was stocked with wood for the stoves and everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Thanksgiving is a tricky holiday when you are away from home but, thankfully, a stocked kitchen was ready for us so we could cook all the holiday favorites. Our gracious hosts even left out candles on the dining room table to add to the festivities. Our family quickly settled into the house, and we felt right at home. I think that's one of the best things about this property and the tremendous care and attention to detail that has gone into maintaining such a place. It feels like home when you stay there, and I think that's pretty special. Whether you are gathering by the fire inside or exploring the local towns (especially Shelburne Falls), or going for a lovely walk around the property, there is so much to enjoy. For me, I embraced the quiet, gorgeous morning light that would peek through our bedroom window as I sat and sipped my coffee. I didn't feel rushed. It was heaven! We will surely be back again to make more memories! Thanks to our amazing hosts for a lovely holiday weekend!
This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely property. The house is extremely clean and comfortable with a lot of charm and attention to small details that enhanced our stay. There is a beautiful yard with a fire pit , gas grill and picnic tables that we used for a family gathering during our visit. Sandi quickly responded to questions/communications from us prior to and during our stay. We highly recommend this rental and will be back!
The house was very clean, everything we needed was available, and Sandi was clear and open with her communication. Air conditioners are new and quiet models located in every bedroom. At one point during our stay, a carbon monoxide detector was beeping in the locked off basement area due to a low battery, but we were given instructions on where to find the key to be able to fix the problem. Tons of firewood is available for nightly fires in the wonderful private and quiet backyard. There is a gas grill that seems to be brand new and works great. Two neighbor horses are very friendly and come right up to you to say hi! Would stay again and recommend to others.
The house is perfection, feels like home. The wildflowers in the back yard and horses across the street made me feel like I was in a movie. Sandi was an awesome host. We would totally rent this home again.
This house is so charming and beautifully updated, well appointed and the location is lovely. It was perfect for our extended family with the two lower level bedrooms easily accessible for two sets of grandparents. We were there for a graduation 40 minutes away in Deerfield so didn’t have any time to explore the immediate area.

I grew up in Bay Shore, NY. I have resided in NYC, Chicago, Brooklyn and Jersey City. My husband David grew up in Texas, California, Guam, South Dakota and NYC (his father was a pilot for the US Air Force). My husband and I purchased this Farmhouse over 7 years ago as our vacation home (to get away from JC). We currently reside in Hebron, CT with our son Zori.
Why they chose this property
We enjoy visiting Berkshire East and we love old farmhouses. When we saw this house, we instantly fell in love with it. Not only was this the house we were looking for, the old barn and the 12 acres of land was an added bonus. 9 of the 12 acres are wooded. which provides privacy - when the sun sets, its a beautiful view. We are able to quickly drive to Berkshire East , Shelburne Falls, North Adams, Jacksonville, VT and Mt Snow. We love the get away location as much as the house.
What makes this property unique
The kitchen is what first captivated me. Then the wood burning stoves were my favorite during the winter months. That along with the beautiful snowfalls and the ability to run outside and watch our son sled down the small hill out back. In the fall, it's the trees turning colors, watching or neighbors horses roam around and sitting by the old barn with a glass of wine. We love every nook and cranny of this house and we hope you do too.
