The view was amazing, great communication from the property manager, definitely will come back here in the future! Perfect view of the sunset and sunrise from the porch and plenty of room. We had a great time here for my friend’s bachelorette party. Pristine golf course.

One of the best views in Big Canoe. Large deck for entertaining. It did get foggy quite a few mornings but if you are waiting for the sun to come up it's no problem driving down the mountain but driving up the mountain at night in the fog is not for the faint hearted. Brad and Ling are great owners/hosts who took care of the few minor problems immediately during our five week stay.

Family get away to Big Canoe

The views alone were worth the trip! Unbelievably views from every room made it an experience to remember. Helping that was all of the small touches that made it a family trip to remember. Family pool games at night, legos for the kids and everyone used the hot tub! We loved being able to have family meals every night and easy mornings and on the deck overlooking what seemed to be all of Georgia. Would absolutely come back and have already recommended to others

Great cabin fantastic views

Our stay in Big Canoe was perfect. We have been coming to Big Canoe for years but this was our first time staying so high up on the mountain. The views from the house and the drive up were breathtaking. It is a far drive from the main gate (20 mins) but in my opinion worth it for the views! The cabin was clean, nicely furnished, spacious and very comfortable. Oz was great to deal with. Our family loved the pool table up stairs and the hot tub was perfect on the cool nights. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Oz for a memorable and relaxing vacation in your cabin!

Up in the clouds

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, the views were beautiful and our girls really enjoyed sleeping in the loft area. Plenty of games for great family time and a pool table in the loft. The cabin has all the amenities needed except, as per my wife, a garlic press :) The cabin is very spacious and we loved the light coming in from all directions. Big Canoe is beautiful and we enjoyed our many hikes to the upper and lower falls on the mountain and the walk up to eagles rest. The last day we enjoyed a relaxing Pontoon ride on the lake as well. Oz is a great host, great communication and checks to make sure all is going well with your stay. Highly recommend "Up one the clouds" cabin!

Save Our Sanity Sisters Trip

My sister and I were able to get away for three nights to this gorgeous cabin. We were in desperate need of a getaway. The cabin is beautiful, just like the pictures posted. The owner, Oz, was very attentive and quick to respond when I sent him a question. There’s plenty of room to spread out. The owner’s suite is big and has gorgeous views, at night you can see the lights of Atlanta. The deck on the main level is large with a table for outdoor dining and lounge chairs for soaking up the sun and fantastic mountain air. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, or not. Coffee pot along with keurig was a nice bonus. The hot tub is large and it was so nice to be able to enjoy it without our kids (heehee). Seriously, this was a long overdue sanity saving weekend. We will definitely recommend this home to everyone we know.

Top of the Mountain spectacular View . Cozy rooms, pool table, hot tub on deck - lots of places to hang out and play games. Nice living room and TV for family movie night. Host are terrific communicators. Lake fishing, Pickleball, boat rentals. Indoor pool and fitness center, hiking! Great Lodge and meals at the Golf Club!

We just returned from the most peaceful stay at this luxurious mountain retreat, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The views alone are worth the trip—on a clear day, we could see for miles, even catching a glimpse of downtown Atlanta. Absolutely breathtaking.The home itself is spacious, beautiful and thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and fun. We especially loved the private hot tub just off the master bedroom and the fireplaces added a warm, inviting touch.The loft’s pool table was a hit. Every detail, from the luxurious master bath to the peaceful surroundings, made this feel like a true home away from home. The host were extremely accommodating, readily available and friendly. If you're looking for a serene getaway with all the comforts (and then some), this is the place. We’re already dreaming about our next visit!

Gorgeous Location with Room for ImprovementWe stayed one night for a girls trip and were truly impressed by the peaceful, secluded setting in Big Canoe. The gated community felt safe and serene, and the views were absolutely beautiful. The beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub was a great addition for relaxing.That said, there were several areas that could use attention. The kitchen lacked basic essentials—no wine glasses, no cutting boards, and the knives were dangerously dull. It would be helpful to include basics like cooking oil and salt. The fireplace was nearly impossible to operate even with instructions; having the pilot light already lit for guests would make a big difference. We also couldn’t find the chiminea that was pictured in the listing.There were no towels provided downstairs, and a major concern was that the downstairs bedroom doors wouldn’t open to the deck, which could be a fire hazard. Additionally, requiring guests to take trash down the mountain is unreasonable, especially considering the cleaning fee.Overall, we enjoyed the natural beauty and comfort of the home, but a few thoughtful updates would make this rental much more guest-friendly and worth the price

We had such an amazing time ! The house was so beautiful and had everything we needed. The view was incredible! We had fun in the house playing pool and a few games. The neighborhood was full of activities , we hiked , rented a boat and had a day at the beach club. Also the host communicated well, which is always nice. We would 100% come back for another summer vacation and stay right here!!

Beautiful - But with a Few Problems to Iron Out

First of all, I want to say that the views posted on the listing are fabulously accurate. The panoramic view of the lake, mountains, city, and beyond is breathtaking and can all be seen from the hot tub. Best part of our stay! I also appreciated that the house is pet friendly and that Brad was so amenable to our larger dog.That being said, there are a few upgrades I would expect with the cost of this rental. Several of the lights didn't have working bulbs, weren't plugged in, etc. The house was very dark at night, making it hard to read or play games. The fireplace didn't work, despite attempts to fix it. The smell of gas permeated the entire space, even after we opened the doors and windows. Considering the weather on our second day, I was so disappointed we couldn't have a fire going.There were very few towels and they were all incredibly thin. Nicer towels, more kitchen towels, some throw blankets, more paper towels and garbage bags, etc. would be small changes that would elevate the property.The most disappointing feature was the oven. Brad is aware that it's not working and was very apologetic. The kitchen was well-furnished with utensils and cookware, which is a huge plus! However, we couldn't use the oven for any of the food we brought (and we couldn't get off the mountain due to weather to get any other food). While not the owner's fault, I would've expected some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. Still, a lovely rental that I'd like to use again.

Great stay!

Owners are quick to respond to any issues. Unfortunately we did not get to see the million dollar view due to weather. We needed a visit from maintenance and the cleaning team during our visit. Both individuals were awesome. We will stay again if in the area.

Listing over sold the property

The checkin process was smooth and easy. The view from the large outdoor patio and master bedroom amazing! Hot tub on the patio was clean and ready to be used, of which we fully part-took. Shortcomings, the kitchen is not fully stocked. The pots and pans burnt and severely scratched.the pantry was in a complete disarray and dirty. The grill was very dirty and had nothing to clean it. The master bathroom I am skeptical it was cleaned. The two bathroom mirrors were loaded with spots the sinks with what looked like toothpaste. They advertise two fireplaces but the one in the living room wasn’t working. The wood burning stove in the master bedroom was delightful!! We were content with our weekend getaway but would not return.

I moved to Atlanta GA in 2021 from Vancouver Canada. As I made some new friends here at my home in Atlanta, I was offered to stay in one of my friends Big Canoe Airbnb for a few nights. I immediatley fell in love with the cabins, the big canoe amenities and quiet life of nature that surrounded me. And I knew that I had to live here, even if part time, and when not using my home in big canoe, I could share it with you.

When I first walked into this house, the vista and the all glass around the rooms was just breathtaking. And I knew I had to have it to enjoy and share with others. They old cliche is location location location. And to be honest, yes. Its true. This is a phenomnal home.

What makes this property unique

The view. Simply the view. Either setting in the hot tub to just relaxing in the lounge chair. The quiet. The relaxation that you feel with the gentle breezes that continuously blow.
This can be romantic to family oriented. Its just near perfect.
