About this property

Log Cabin on the River Hot Tub, Stars, Ultimate Escape

Cross the bridge and leave the world behind.
This one-of-a-kind log cabin sits directly above a crystal-clear, spring-fed stream at the edge of Pike National Forest. From the moment you arrive, the sound of the water sets the tone for a peaceful, immersive mountain escape.
Park in your private lot surrounded by trees, then walk across a small bridge to reach the cabin. It’s a simple transition, but it feels like stepping into another world.
Only about 50 minutes from Denver, this is the kind of place people don’t expect to find so close to the city.
Important Note About the Bathroom (Please Read)
This cabin uses a private outhouse instead of a traditional indoor toilet, and we want to be very upfront about that.
That said, this is not your typical outhouse. It is:
• Clean, well-maintained, and fully private
• Located just a few feet from the cabin (very easy access)
• Comfortable and thoughtfully built
If you’re unsure, we strongly encourage you to read the reviews. Guests consistently mention how clean, comfortable, and unique the experience is, and many end up loving it.

Blazing-fast Starlink internet
Fast, reliable WiFi for streaming, working, or staying connected.
Direct access to hiking and outdoor adventure
Meridian and Tanglewood Trailheads are just a five-minute walk away, following the same stream through a beautiful forest.
The Experience
This cabin is built for slowing down.
Wake up to the sound of water moving beneath you. Spend your day hiking, biking, fishing, or simply relaxing on the deck.
At night, everything quiets down. The stars come out, the forest settles, and the only sound left is the river.
The Cabin
Inside, the cabin blends rustic mountain character with details you won’t find anywhere else.
Antique pieces, natural materials, and thoughtful craftsmanship give the space a true old-world feel while still offering modern comfort.
The Loft & Stargazing Deck
The open loft is one of the standout features.
Stained glass windows open up to a private upper deck, creating an incredible space for stargazing or relaxing above the trees.

Remote Cabin on Creek

This location is certainly remote and pretty The attention to detail on decor is stunning. The antiques give the cabina rustic vibe fitting for the space. The hot tub is a fantastic resource to have all the way out in the middle of nowhere and it's spot right along the creek is perfect. The only complaints I have are: Water- there was no drinking water at the cabin and it's not exactly a cakewalk to get there or leave for supplies. We resorted to boiling then cooling water for a day before getting back to town to get water bottles. Noise-we came out to the mountains and a remote Cabin for peace and quiet. I know that owners need to get stuff done, but when power tools go off unexpectedly all the way out in the wilderness, it's very jarring. It really took away from the experience for us. Bathrooms- There was both a composting and normal outhouse ok property, but the photos show a toilet inside. There is a toilet inside, but you can't use it. I wouldn't have cared so much if I hadn't come expecting an indoor toilet

I’ve always been drawn to places that feel different the moment you arrive, and this cabin is exactly that. I put a lot of thought into creating a space that blends character, comfort, and a true connection to the outdoors. From the antiques to the layout to the little details throughout, this isn’t just a rental to me. It’s a place meant to be experienced, and I take pride in sharing it with guests who appreciate something unique

Why they chose this property

This area in Bailey offers a rare combination of accessibility and seclusion. You’re less than an hour from Denver, but once you’re here, it feels completely removed from everything. The cabin sits right along a spring-fed stream and backs up to miles of Pike National Forest, with trail access just minutes away. I chose it for the water, the quiet, and the ability to step outside and immediately be in nature.

What makes this property unique

It’s the combination of the setting and the details you won’t find anywhere else. The cabin sits directly above a flowing stream, with a hot tub right beside the water, an outdoor hot shower under the trees, and a private deck off the loft with stained glass windows for stargazing. Inside, you’ll find a mix of rustic character and one-of-a-kind features, including an antique sink from the Broadmoor Hotel, Italian tile work, and unique vintage elements throughout.
Even the setup is part of the experience, with a clean, comfortable outhouse just steps from the cabin that guests often end up loving. Add in fast Starlink internet, music through Alexa and outdoor speakers, and direct access to trails, and it creates a stay that feels completely different from a typical mountain rental.
