Sister to the Oyster Cottage (wheelchair accessible, vrbo#3508084). Cute, cozy, and comfortable…..Enjoy the convenience of Pelican Cottage in the heart of Crawfordville. We love pets, but we’re not accepting pets at this time. St. Marks, Shell Point, and Panacea are just south, and St. George/Apalachicola are one hour west. Tallahassee is 30 minutes north.
Taste of Mexico and Subway are across the street, and Myra Jean's, Lex & Roll, and the Breakfast Station are just a short drive. If you love coffee like we do, try Atlas or Wild Ox. Enjoy seasonal Meyer lemons, kumquats, blueberries, crab apples, pears, persimmons, & figs from the orchard.
Paddle the spring fed Wakulla River from TNT canoe rental or visit Wakulla Springs State Park for a step back in time. St. Marks Wildlife Refuge and Lighthouse are also close by and a popular saltwater fishing spot. Cool off swimming in beautiful clear Emerald Sink off Lighthouse Road.

This little gem was amazing! The owners have thought of everything that a guest could possibly need and have it on hand. The property was extremely clean and well kept. The owners gave us very clear instructions on check in/check out and provided local information as well. We were in town for a junior golf tournament and this will be our go to cottage for years to come for this event!

This was our 3rd time staying at the Pelican Cottage. My kids ( 9/11 ) love the cornhole boards, the mini golf, and the ring toss games. The cottage is always clean and well stocked. We love the close proximity to Shell Point and the beaches. 10/10 and will be staying there again on our next trip to town.

Cozy cottage in little town

Crawfordville is growing, but this renovated cottage was perfect for being close to family and giving it a coming-home feeling. Clean, convenient, and mostly quiet - only heard a little traffic noise. Excellent AC and kitchen supplies.

Excellent Property

We stayed at Courtyard Cottage for the Fla. High School Cross Country Championships. Property is very clean and nicely furnished. Kevin was very responsive and helpful with check-in. Highly recommend this property over a hotel room if you have an event in the Tallahassee area.

Great little cottage. Lots of neat little touches, like fruit trees and 4 hole miniature golf in the yard. Very cute and comfortable. Only negatives were a poorly designed bathroom, the only one, and no creamer packets for the coffee

Such a Nice Place

Very Cute and comfortable. So much better than staying in a hotel with a 3 year old. The owners really thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. We were even pleasantly surprised to find cold water and beer in the fridge after a long day of traveling. We will be back!

We loved the layout of the house. Conveniently located. Very clean. Quick replies when we had any questions. When back in the area, we will use these facilities again. With three houses there together, will recommend when traveling with groups as well.

The cottage was perfect for us as an alternative to hotels when visiting our grandchildren. We were there during the coldest Christmas in Florida history and the owner was so concerned that we were comfortable that he contacted us several times. He even offered to reimburse us for the first night when the water pipes froze. We will definitely use this property again.

Ideal Peaceful Getaway

We prefer a less touristy area that feels like a hometown. This is what we got in Crawfordville! The surrounding area has so many state parks and natural areas to enjoy for nature lovers. Not too far to drive to scenic beaches if that is your thing. The cottage is cute and clean, and the Spanish moss hanging on the trees in the yard made it perfectly picturesque. It is in the middle of the small town, but tucked away in its own corner. We would definitely stay here again. Nothing but good things to say! Thank you!!

We are a husband, wife, and two school age boys currently living in my home town of Tallahassee. We love the Forgotten Coast, and spend most of our staycations between St. Marks, Crawfordville, and Apalachicola, doing everything from fishing, snorkeling, scalloping, wind-surfing, canoeing, paddle-boarding, antiquing, and of course working to fuel our passions.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with 5 High Drive when we viewed it in 2021 with our realtor. The location is unique in that the property is nestled in the heart of Crawfordville. When the church lights are on behind us it's beautiful seeing the stained glass lit up, as well as the church steeple, and the historic Chamber of Commerce building (which is amazing at sunset, and has a mullet on the steeple). Crawfordville and the Forgotten Coast provide such unique adventure opportunities with something for everyone. We love providing a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience in the heart of all the area has to offer. Please enjoy seasonal fruit from the orchard, and be sure to walk to the original courthouse and original jail (museum with a night time jailer visible in the upstairs window after dark).
