About this property
Cottage in the Woods
Escape to your own private retreat in this cozy two-room, one-bathroom cottage nestled on 6 serene acres of wooded paradise in Crawfordville, Florida. Perfect for a tranquil getaway, this charming hideaway offers peace, privacy, and the beauty of nature all around.
The space
• Private Cottage: You’ll have the entire cottage to yourself, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed stay.
• Cozy Accommodations: The cottage features a studio-style layout with two sleeping rooms separated by a door with independent cooling/heating units with remote in each. The main bedroom includes a comfortable queen bed, while the second room offers a daybed with a pull-out trundle. Each room is equipped with its own TV, making it perfect for couples, small families, or friends seeking both comfort and entertainment.
• Essential Kitchen Amenities: The kitchen is set up for preparing basic meals and includes a coffee pot, mini fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and double hot plate—perfect for quick and easy cooking during your stay.
• Nature Trails: Explore winding paths through the woods, right on the property.
Location & Nearby Attractions:
• Just a short drive to Wakulla Springs State Park (10 min.), where you can enjoy swimming, boat tours, and spotting manatees.
• Close to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge (20 min.), perfect for hiking, birdwatching, and fishing.
• Enjoy beautiful kayaking or boating on the Wakulla or St. Marks River with many access points just minutes away.
• A short trip to the Gulf Coast for pristine beaches and fresh seafood.
• Just south of Tallahassee for a night/day trip, work, sports games, graduations and more (33 min. to Doak Campbell Stadium).
• Enjoy local dining and shopping in charming downtown Crawfordville.
Guest access
Coming in, stay to the right and there is multiple car parking right in front of the 'Cottage'. Access is around back via the small porch and code will be provided prior to check-in.
While the main house on the property is occasionally visited by the owners (you will know ahead of time), the cottage is entirely separate, ensuring your privacy.
Other things to note:
Please do not run air units while you are not there. Given the canopy of trees, the cottage will tend to keep the temperature while away and you can adjust upon return. Do not flush any items down the toilet other than tissue paper. This is the woods so bugs (mosquitos, ticks, spiders, etc.) are prevalent and we try to keep bug spray stocked in the cottage but recommend bringing some as well.
Thank you.
