Coziest Cottage

Perfect location for my stay! I lived here in Crawfordville for 8 years so I’m quite familiar with its proximity to a busy roadway, that didn’t bother me or my mom who was a first time visitor to the area. We loved the cottage and will book again in the future!

Oyster Cottage

Cottage was exactly as advertised. This cottage was built for people with disabilities. The ramp was wide and easily navigated. The shower was perfect to roll or walk in and didn’t leave the bathroom flooded at all. All details were thought of for comfort from places to plug in electronics to items in the kitchen & bath. The trees out front were filled with beautiful flowers and it made sitting or eating on the porch very pleasant. The home was spotless and the bed comfortable. Location also worked out well. Lovely stay.

Perfect cozy little cottage.

My family and I stayed at the Oyster Cottage for my son’s graduation from FSU. The hosts were very responsive to all of my questions and replied right away. The cottage was immaculate! The hosts even stocked the full size fridge with refreshments for us to enjoy upon arrival. Coffee was provided as well, which was thoughtful and very much appreciated! Would definitely stay here again. ~ Corrado Family

Beautiful Historical Building

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was interesting to learn a little history about the cottage. It was right across from the beautiful Wakula Courthouse which was so pretty. The only negative for us...and the owners can't help this...but the traffic off High Dr. was extremely busy, and again, the owners can't help this but some of the vehicles were crazy loud, and we didn't sleep well at all the first night. The second night wasn't as bad but we just kinda laughed it off as part of the experience. The host was wonderful, and our stay was nice.

Clean, fun, comfortable

Kevin and Rena from the very beginning made me and my kids feel welcome and at home. Kevin reached out a day or two prior to check in and made sure we knew the check in process and made sure I didn’t have any questions. The home is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The home had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. He checked in with us midway through which I thought was so kind. Kevin and Rena had the home beautifully decorated and supplied coffee, water and even beer if we wished to partake. There were games and outdoor activities like corn hole and bocce ball there too when the kids used the entire stay. The bathroom is HUGE and beautiful with a great shower and the beds were so comfortable. The air conditioning works so well and kept us cool and comfortable the entire stay. The kitchen is large and modern and the couch and other furniture is comfortable as well. I really have zero complaints and would stay at any home hosted by Kevin and Rena in the future without pause.

Great little home away

Property had everything you need for your stay. Comfortable in every way..Owners very responsive. Great location for visiting Wakulla Springs. Deducted 1star due to noisy street. We were too tired to care after a day at the Springs but might matter to someone.

About the host

Hosted by Kevin and Rena

Host profile image
We are a husband, wife, and two school age boys currently living in my home town of Tallahassee. We love the Forgotten Coast, and spend most of our staycations between St. Marks, Crawfordville, and Apalachicola, doing everything from fishing, snorkeling, scalloping, wind-surfing, canoeing, paddle-boarding, antiquing, and of course working to fuel our passions.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with 5 High Drive when we viewed it in 2021 with our realtor. The location is unique in that the property is nestled in the heart of Crawfordville. When the church lights are on behind us it's a beautiful seeing the stained glass light up, as well as the church steeple, and the historic Chamber of Commerce building (which is amazing at sunset, and has a mullet on the steeple).

What makes this property unique

Crawfordville and the Forgotten Coast provide such unique adventure opportunities with something for everyone. We love providing a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience in the heart of all the area has to offer. Please enjoy seasonal fruit from the orchard, and be sure to walk to the original courthouse and original jail (museum with a night time jailer visible in the upstairs window after dark).
