Take it easy at this Ochockonee bay-waterfront cottage getaway. Sits on a beautiful 1/2 acre wooded lot with old Florida charm. This home has been updated and has a very cozy interior. Do some fishing with 100ft of saltwater or just put your toes in the sand on your own beach in the backyard. Relax with those that matter the most. Boat ramp 5 mins away. There is room to park your boat or RV. Amazing sunsets from the porch over the water is a must see. 10mins to bald point Beach for best sunrise you can ask for.

Great little spot

As our first time in Florida, this was the best place to stay. The home being right on the beach was perfect. It was so beautiful, the house stayed cool and had everything we needed for our stay. The screened in porch with a big yard was great for our kids and dog! The hosts were easy to communicate with. We had the best time !

Beautiful Bay View

We were able to relax and enjoy the view, bird life and the local restaurants. Very convenient to many parks and we took advantage of the parks. Food shopping was 20 min. away, not much night life, but great fresh seafood and the beaches just great. The house was comfortable and the sunsets were often a TEN.

Perfect getaway

We really enjoyed the peaceful, quiet area of this little cottage. The owner was so very nice and she actually notified us that it was ready for check-in several hours before time. We will be returning 🙂

Perfect!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! We were able to check in early, which was such a nice surprise. Walking distance to Angelos seafood restaurant. The house is also dog friendly. Loved our own private beach. Will stay here again. Highly recommend!

We had an enjoyable stay .My wife enjoyed the views from the house while she relaxed and worked on her hobbies. I explored the area . The house is conveniently located near beaches and good seafood.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was exactly as advertised, quiet and convenient to the things we wanted to do. The highlight of our trip was Wakulla Springs boat ride. This is something everyone needs to experience.

Stay in Panacea

On a road trip along the Florida gulf coast. We decided to take a break from hotels, and we book a couple of days at Hideaway Beach Cottage. It did not disappoint. The cottage was kept very clean and stocked with essentials. Sunsets were spectacular over the bay, and a day trip to Appalachicola really showcased the beauty of the area.

Peace & Tranquility

This cottage was immaculately clean, open, fresh and airy. The property was also neat and tidy. The view was amazing and we spent alot of our time just relaxing by the water and enjoying the breeze. The sunsets were beautiful too! We are Jeepers so we really had fun enjoying the local area with the tops off and riding throught hte coastal areas and forests. There are some delicious restaurants near by. We will definitely visit again when we need a quiet relaxing break from the daily grind. This place is so cute, comfy and relaxing and the hosts were wonderful.

Nice little cottage

The cottage was very clean and well appointed. It's set up great for dogs, unfortunately we were not able to bring our dog. It does not have an ice maker nor dishwasher so just be aware in the event that's an issue for you. The bedroom was a little quirky but we were able to make it work for us. Overall loved the place and the location.

MERMAZING secluded spot...the perfect getaway

We live in NW FL and wanted a quick getaway - AWAY from it all; and we found this sweet cottage on the water. With 2 dogs, pet friendly is the only way we go and the owner had a lot of items to use for free for pets, the beach, games, etc... Well appointed and incredibly hospitable and accommodating even though I messed up the reservation and was a day off. The house was clean with nice additions (soft close trash), wall lights for the floor, outdoor chairs and cushions, kitchen stocked with everything you need so you don't have to leave. Which is exactly what we did and we will absolutely be back and highly recommend. (From a couple that was in the hotel business for 25+ years)

Clean but!

Home was clean. No ice maker, no dishwasher table top grill with no outside table. Could only cook maybe 4 burgers at a time. Plenty of beds but only 1 3 person couch to sit on. If you have bad knees it is too hard to get off of. No bedside rugs. King size bed in between 2 doors and no room for bedside table No clock! Lawn needs cutting. Nice small beach on bay.

Perfect place to unwind and unplug. Wonderful views of the bay from sunrise to sunset. Great place to bring kayaks and bicycles. We had a great time here just relaxing.

The location was perfect, right on the water, very quiet and relaxing. The cottage had everything you needed for your stay. Just what I was looking for. My furbabies enjoyed it as well.

We so enjoyed our vacation!! Only issue was saying it’s wheelchair accessible is not true, luckily my sister brought her portable ramps because the front door IS NOT WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY!!! If it has a step up…. A wheelchair can’t get over it!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! So peaceful and relaxing… The cottage is beautifully decorated, quite comfortable and very clean with generous supplies of linens, paper goods, and other essentials. Management was courteous and friendly and responded quickly to inquiries.There are lots of dining options within a very short distance. We had wonderful seafood (of course), barbecue (excellent), and delicious pasta. The view of the water is absolutely gorgeous… We saw dolphins, egrets, schools of fish, and lots of birds and playful squirrels. The sunsets were amazing! A wonderful experience…highly recommended!

Beautiful relaxing vacation. Our dogs had the best time!

The cottage was perfect for our family’s yearly girls vacation. It was a nice relaxing and laidback trip. We loved being close to the local restaurants. The screened porch was perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every evening. The fire pit was nice for roasting marshmallows. Our dogs loved the big beautiful yard. We saw white squirrels and dolphins during our stay. One of our highlights of the trip was visiting the Gulf Specimen Aquarium, which is an amazing place to experience some of the local Marine life. They have a darling rescue turtle named Lil Herc. Our trip was a wonderful time for making memories and the cottage was the perfect place to do that. We will definitely be back!
