Catch your own slot Redfish/Trout/Tripletail/Flounder dinner from the 245' Fishing Dock in the backyard overlooking Alligator Harbor. Note motor boats may not be moored to the dock as it is permitted for Kayaks and Canoes only. Free Kayaking with 2 kayaks. Bald Point State Park and white sandy public beaches are three miles away. A top-notch golf course (St. James Bay) is fifteen minute drive away.

If you are looking for a nice quite getaway this is the spot. The private dock was very nice to fish from and the neighbors were very friendly. Joe was awesome, he checked in with us and made sure we got in ok and if we needed anything. Lots of state parks around to hike or fish or just go veiw. Lots of fishing charters around the area if your looking to go charter fishing. Very peaceful place and just all around awesome!!!

Absolutely Perfect

Perfect in every way. This is the cutest cottage. We had everything we needed and then some! Exactly as listed! Beds were comfortable, plenty of space, kitchen had everything, and Joe is the nicest host I've ever had at a rental. We caught fish, loved the dock and enjoyed the screened back porch every evening. We WILL be back very soon.

Great get away

What a great stay. Unfortunately the hurricane ran us off early but the time we were there was fantastic. Joe the owner is a stand up guy. We will be back. Love the location and privacy. Good fishing and wildlife. Incredible updates to the house. Everything we wanted.

Wonderful place!

If you like the outdoors, and being secluded this is the place! Very nice house and a very fun place to stay. If you like to fish I myself caught 4 slot reds, a massive probably 45” red, and quite a few trout and a triple tail off the dock! Me and my wife enjoyed the place and Joe is a grate host if you have any kind of problem at all he’s on it immediately! I will be back shortly!!

Perfect Getaway--Feels Like Home

My husband and I have been coming to Alligator Point and staying at Redfish Cottage for over a decade. Each time we drive down Alligator Point Dr, it feels like we're coming home. Redfish is the perfect size, it's bright and cheery, and the pier is the best place for sunsets, birdwatching, fishing, SUP'ing, and just hanging out to relax. I got home last night and can't wait to go back.

The cottage was OK, with the following exceptions. The lockbox access was not written up clearly, he just sent the code and we had to figure out the process. We had a hard time locking the door from the outside as there were no directions for that. The on-demand water heater didn't heat enough water at any given time, only enough for washing a few dishes. It never got to the bathroom on the other side of the house. The floor was not as clean as it should have been. Residue was left on our feet. There are 3 resin chairs on the deck that are unusable due to baking in the sun. The sunroom is cluttered with "stuff" and needs some repair. There are too many bed linens and towels stuffed in the closets. There is a broken board on the pier. Tiny flying bugs get into the bathroom during the night, and the door to the outside in the bathroom is unusable. Even at that, we did enjoy our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Redfish Cottage. Our host was easy to communicate with. The house was so cute and just felt like home and was very clean. I loved the fact there were cleaning supplies under both the bathroom and kitchen sink. I like to tidy up during a stay anywhere. Everything we needed to cook at the house was right there on hand. The neighbors were nice and waved any time we saw them. We hope to stay at Redfish Cottage again in the future.

Relaxation

This was a beautiful cottage with everyting that you may need while on vacation. Enjoy gorgeous views of the bay from inside and outside on either of the two porches and dock. It was so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed just sitting and relaxing on the porches and dock, fishing and kayaking. The only downside was having to leave.

Month reset

This was our 3rd year at the cottage. Our month long stay was not enough. Mornings on the golf course and afternoons fishing on the dock. Beautiful scenery in the bay. Birds and animals to watch. Yes the white squirrel was there and even saw the bear. Perfect!

Another good stay

Enjoyed Redfish again. Excellent location for our activities. Check-in process delayed by emergency in housekeeper's family. Owner offered rebate if we cleaned it ourselves- we declined and went elsewhere for several hours, after we put perishables in fridge. Next morning found housekeeper had decided on her own to put our container of fresh oysters in freezer ! That was very disappointing. Redfish needs a clear set of instructions re: electronic security locks, TV, and other devices.

Spring Break Alternative

This place fits our style very well which is slow-paced and outdoor-based. We fished, hiked, bird-watched, walked the public beach and just relaxed. If you are interested in the typical Spring Break scene, then this is not your place.
